Piff at the Flamingo is a masterclass in controlled apathy that somehow delivers more heart than the most "earnest" acts on the Strip. The whole performance is built on elite deadpan delivery, using a dry British wit that thrives on being perpetually unimpressed by his own brilliance. He shuffles around in a intentionally budget dragon suit tossing out sharp one-liners and roasts with perfect timing, and while the persona is intentionally low-effort, the magic is deceptively high-level. Mr. Piffles is the silent MVP of the night, providing a weirdly charming contrast to the cynical banter every time he gets involved. The dynamic between them keeps the show from ever feeling one-note or too dark. The best part was the post-show experience because it lacked the transactional feel of typical meet-and-greets. Piff actually stayed back to chat without it feeling like he was just doing it for the hell of it, which made the entire night feel like a genuine connection rather than just another ticketed event. read more

A very funny and light show with a ton of crowd work. It leans into a sillier style of comedy, and there is definitely some pressure if you get selected to interact with the stage. If you go as a couple, be aware that you might have to share a tablet seating space with another group unless you choose to be closer to the front, though that puts you right in the line of fire for the comedy. The magic itself is actually pretty great, and we left genuinely wondering how he pulled off some of the tricks. They did a full meet and greet at the end. We left the theater quickly, got in line right away, and got a great picture with Piff and his wife Jade Simone, who were both incredibly nice. Great evening out. read more

Irrelevantly funny & enjoyable show start to finish! Perfect balance of Comedy meets Magic. My husband & I were laughing non-stop. Loved Jade's stage presence & high energy. Mr Piffles was so cute and awesome! It was an intimate room w/ lots of audience participation. Piff cares about the audience & stayed behind after the show for a Meet & Greet. We purchased a Magic book and deck of cards & Piff so kindly signed it. He took it a step further and filmed a hilarious video of him opening the cards and signing them for our Daughter. Went in with low expectations based on nothing but being a jaded Vegas local and came out extremely impressed! Such an amazing show and highly recommend. The show is so original with clever blends of comedy and magic. I would say it's more of a comedy show than magic show. Loved the vibes of the old-timely Flamingo theater setting. Everything was just so fun. I think the show's been around for more than 10 years and there's no doubt why- just come and see it! It was a funny and cute show. I like the magic show. I watched David Copperfield, Chris Angel, Matt Franco and so on. This show wasn't great as Compared with David Copperfield and Chris Angle but it was worth to see. I am a dog person so I enjoyed to watch the dog in the show. The dog magic part was awesome. Also, you can take a picture with the casts after the show for free. I recommend it. read more

Piff the Magic Dragon, lived by the sea~ and frolicked in the autumn mist, in a land called the Flamingo Hotel. Doesn't roll off the tongue as much, but it's so fitting for his show, that it works. Also, this show is called Piff the Magic Dragon but really this is a family affair with Piff, Mr. Piffles II (rip mr piffles numero uno), and his gorgeous showgirl, beam of light & pillar of strength Mrs. Piff aka Jade Simone. I've seen the signs across Vegas for ages for his show, but fell for their family when they were on the recent season of Queer Eye. SO SWEET. Piff seemed so Piff-like and Jade Simone seemed so charming in person. She was waving to people, Piff did a ton of audience interaction - even including children as ages 8+ are allowed in this show, and the magic was impressive! I somehow bought us tickets in the front row & we ended up being up close and personal with Piff & fam. It was a cute show and we loved it! Actually he did a great job of including almost everyone in the first row in some capacity, and tons of others. I was happily surprised my friend and I weren't picked/picked on at all but I think he may have seem the introvert in my eyes - one to another. Thank goodness and thankful for that haha So happy we finally checked out Piff's show and I recommend it to all! read more

From main entrance go up the escalators and head straight back. Make a left and it'll be just after the food hall. Parking garage just behind the hotel next to Cromwell $20. Totally loved his show! Awesomely Hilarious! Like the kind when your face cheeks are aching. We were bustin up the whole time and entertained by his witty illusions. Of course Mr. Piffles the second was so cute, a definite highlight to Piff along with enthusiastic assistant. The tech crew really hit every que to enhance his show. Nice venue pretty much every seat is a good one. Booth or table seating options. If choosing a booth I would recommend get seats facing towards the stage to avoid neck cramps. I saw a few individuals on the far ends having to sit sideways the entire show. Front rows could get you a higher chance of being involved or on stage. Great show! read more

This show is a must see in Vegas. We went with our teen boys and were cracking up the whole time. My husband and I even got called up in stage to be the main act. I've told everyone about it. We ended up loving it so much we went back a second time a year later with some family members and decided to do the pre show VIP pack. I'll be honest and say that was underwhelming and not worth the extra $$ but the show itself is excellent! I hope they mix it up a bit in the near future so we can go back again. read more

Many reviews of the bigger shows said the performers had been doing it for so long that they looked like they were just going through the motions.. that the acts were unimpressive.. that the theater was so big you could only see the tricks on a screen, or that it was overpriced. After all my research, I'm SO glad I decided on Frederic -- the bride said this magic show was her favorite part of the trip!! (and we went to Tao dayclub the day before lol) :) I love that it was in a small, intimate theater, so that you were up close no matter where you sat. And there was SO much audience interaction -- our bride even caught a frisbee and got to go on stage -- which was fun and helped make it even more special for her. The mentalism was such a cool departure from traditional physical magic tricks -- we all loved it and had many *gasp* moments. I wasn't sure what to make of Shin Lim's way of speaking but his delivery was perfect for his sense of humor. Shin navigates each situation with self-deprecating and effortless retorts without sounding rehearsed. One of my favorite comments was a quiet "that's why we're here" when a participant back turned to the audience after asking if what she was doing was for the trick. The show is located in Palazzo, a short walk if one accidentally shuttles to the Venetian, but it would be better if you just go straight to the Palazzo. Before the show someone from the back comes out and picks certain people who will be called on during the show. For Stuart McLeod, a very funny guy but a definitely scripted performance with the audience members he picks on. A staff member came out and talked to two people sitting behind us and we listened very closely as they were told that they would be chosen, the question they are going to be asked and what their response should be. Stuart throws two frisbees out to the audience and it's supposed to be random however, two kids were picked. One boy caught the frisbee and Stuart asked him to give it to the girl behind him which he did. Then Stuart asked her to pick a number between 25 and 100 and told her NOT to pick 67 but of course she did which went along with the number writing skit he did. Obviously it was not random but staged for the trick to work. Shin Lim, WOW!!! He had practiced long and hard to perfect his craft and he is amazing. Many tricks are easy to figure out as you can see how it comes to fruition. Tables are used through his act and most have a hidden area for him to grab things from underneath. Even though you can see his sleight of hand preparing to make the illusion happen, he is an amazing magician. Some tricks will leave you stunned and the audience members he picks I did not see them being prepped before the show so I believe they were unknown and saw the magic close up. Shin Lim is an amazing magician as I said and it's no wonder why he won AGT twice, FISM and is now in Vegas. He is a Vegas show worth going to and more than once, just a very cool experience. His wife is a part of the show, she does magic tricks as well which shows how talented she is as well as a trapeze ring act. She was really good and I only wish she would have been performed a little longer. Shin Lim had Mackenzie Sol who was in the top 24 of American Idol come out and sign some during his magic acts, Magic to Music. Mackenzie is a very good singer and it gelled well with the show. I would go see the show again as it was very entertaining. It started on time unlike most other Vegas shows and was an amazing 90 minute show worth seeing. I highly recommend this show. Yes you can figure out some of the magic being done if you watch closely, but the amount of prep and practice that Shin Lim has had to endure to perfect his craft, he is worth supporting. A very entertaining show! Go see Shin Lim and support him, he is one of the best shows I've seen recently.

You can find deals in the MGM app and in the rooms (and probably many other places), so do some looking around before you pay full price. The show is wonderful. It's billed as family friendly and for the most part it's true unless your family is really sheltered from minor potty humor. It's enjoyable for the magic, the comedy and the downright silliness of Mac King. There's a reason Penn & Teller love this guy. It's a great way to kill some time in the mid afternoon after you bake in the sun at the pool or before happy hour at one of the bars. You may just find yourself REALLY enjoying this show. I was a fan over 25 years ago and still a fan today.

These two are past their 70's and instead of retiring, they continue to entertain audiences with their comedy magic routine. They've been doing this show at the Rio for 25 years now and have been magicians for 50 years. It's quite a legacy. A majority of the acts require a long set up of Penn explaining things and doing a bit of comedy. Almost every single act involves some sort of audience participation which is pretty cool. What Penn says is that they are magicians who don't do illusions so their whole value proposition is generally old school, classic magic involving a deck of cards. Their act is absolutely superb and will leave you guessing how they even pull off their magic. The only thing I found really odd is that they had asked for specifically a child participant for one of their acts but as the show went on, a bunch of the language used was definitely not family friendly. Overall, if you love magic shows, I would say that this duo is a must see.

Alice Cooper and Criss Angel teamed up for series of special shows called "Welcome to Our Nightmare" a limited-engagement of "shock rock & magic". Now I've never been to the Mind Freaks show before but being a huge Alice Cooper fan I knew it would be special. Man I was 1000% correct. This was a spectacular and quite the visual for Alice Cooper fans. What Chris Angel added to Alice's show was breathtaking and hadn't really been scene since the 70's in my opinion. So you take the Alice Cooper traditional show and add almost all of THE MIND FREAKS show plus come up with new stuff and it's the ultimate rock n roll theatrics you'll ever experience. I'm blown away and I only got to experience 2 shows and would hope they continue this partnership in the future... Mr Angel you are truly a MIND FREAK and your show is inspiring and wonderful. This is definitely a general audience show without it being too toned down that it turns into a strictly children's show. I will say that at it's current location at the Strat, I'd suggest buying seats that are further away from the stage if you don't want the tricks spoiled for you. My husband and I were seated next to the stage (stage left) and unfortunately could see how many of the tricks were done because of how close our seats were to the performance. (Ex: one of the fabric backdrops has a secret opening that up close, is visibly more dirty than the rest of the backdrop.) On the flip side, if you want to see how the tricks are done, get the VIP seats next to the stage. I won't spoil it by explaining which tricks get spoiled, but you'll see at least 4-5. My husband and I still had a good time but I think I'd enjoy it more if the tricks were still a mystery.
