But most of the time, the prices are half of the usual store prices or even better. I'd rate them a great except now and then something out of date and stale can be discouraging. It's the bargain hunters risk. check the best by date. The usual and regular items are almost never out of stock, things like pasta, soup, stuffing, many kinds of canned goods, candy, cookies, chips, and a super large condiment aisle with things that could be used for cooking adventures, BBQ, sauces and creative seasoning. I saw another review and notes. They do take credit cards now. The variety of items is always changing. The drive is worth the fun and the adventure of the hunt.

Our son verified they had had the same experience. Switched to CVS. Selected store with good pharmacy hours, 8am-8pm (store open until 9pm) which is helpful for working people. The Pharmacy Manager was very helpful in getting some coupons for an expensive drug, working through confusion with our new insurance, etc. Everyone we have worked with in the store has been kind and helpful. That's how competition is supposed to work, do a bad job, lose customers, do a good job, gain customers. We are CVS-Sheboygan customers now.

While driving through town, my daughter and I decided to stop in for a morning coffee. Tight for space inside and with a long line (presuming from the nearby resort and lake properties), we had a chance to look around. There is so much signage and memorabilia on the walks that makes it hard to decipher their menu and offerings. We made it simple-an iced americano and an iced coffee (they don't offer cold brew). After the 1st sip, the cozy, quaint, nostalgic feel of this place wore off and we both agreed that it was some of the worst coffee we have had in quite some time. The beans tasted over roasted leaving the cold brew tasting like cigarettes. My americano suffered the same fate and espresso pulls felt too short leaving it bitter tasting. It may be the only place in town but I would keep driving in order to find an acceptable cup 'o joe.

This place was recommended, so we decided to give it a try on a cold Saturday morning. Food: We ordered a couple of lattes and some breakfast. For drinks, it was one Vanilla Latte and one London Fog Tea Latte. We asked for mugs, but they were served in glasses instead. Not quite the same, but acceptable. Both drinks were made well, with good texture, nice flavor, and the right temperature. For food, we ordered one Veggie Quiche and a piece of Spanakopita. After they were reheated properly (see Service below), both were very good. I had the Spanakopita, and it was loaded with spinach and feta. The dough-to-filling ratio was excellent. The flavors were rich and complex. The portion size was large, larger than my appetite, but I somehow managed to keep working on it until I was completely stuffed. Service: The service around the food was disappointing. Even though we were clearly dining in, our order was marked as takeout. This created a number of issues. When the food arrived in takeout containers, I mentioned that we were eating inside (especially obvious since our drinks were in glasses). The server simply shrugged and said, "Oh well, they are marked as takeout." I went to the counter and asked for plates and that the food be brought to the proper temperature. It took a while, but they eventually returned with the food reheated, served on plates, and replaced the plastic utensils with metal ones. There was very little acknowledgment that a mistake had been made, and no real apology for the delays. Atmosphere: The place is rustic and right on the water. It reminded me of a fish shanty, in a charming way. There are a couple of different rooms for seating, and we chose one in the back that was quieter. I liked the authentic feel of it. However, there were some areas with old furniture piled up for storage, which took away a bit from the overall look. They also have an outdoor patio that overlooks the river, which would be a lovely spot to sit on a warm day. We would go back. If we ordered food again, I would just make sure they clearly understood from the start that we were dining in so the details were handled correctly.
