Wow. Hoping today was just bad luck, but this store had so many issues. 1. The meat department was very empty. The whole top row had very limited meat and they started putting sweet corn, mushrooms, and brussels sprouts in other areas to fill the space. 2. There was only one checkout lane with approximately 15 people in line. 3. There is no checkout where you can check out yourself so you are forced to be in this line with only one item. 4. I waited 25 minutes to get checked out. 5. Someone finally came to open up another register (after a 25 Minute wait) and they took the person in the back of the long line to go first. Proper etiquette would've been to call the person who is the next in line who had been waiting for over 20 minutes and not someone who just got in line at the end of the one single line. read more

I had a horrible customer experience with 2 cashiers which was unbelievable. The weekly ad had whole rotisserie chickens for $4.99 on special and my cashier scanned it for $6.99 which I pointed out and he made several excuses why it didn't apply to my item and the cashier next to him parroted the same excuses. So I say it's on the front page of the weekly ad so he looks at it and still says it doesn't apply to my rotisserie chicken, are you fu#$ing serious and refused to sell it to me at the sale price and I just walked out. I called the night manager to tell him the crazy customer service from the two cashiers and he could give a crap less with no I'm sorry for your experience or any thing like that. So the next morning I called for the day manager on duty and Heru answered my call which I explained my crazy customer service experience with the two cashiers and the night manager and Heru was patiently listening to my experience and agreed the whole interaction with the store was unacceptable and all the employees pretty much failed with me. Heru says let me make it right and come back and I will have rotisserie chicken and a 12 pack of Hawaiian rolls to make right the poor customer service you experienced yesterday. I have been going to this location for 15 years before it became a piggy wiggly with the first to review and the Duke of check ins with no problems and I explained to Heru that I have been a customer since first opening and he did a great job at repairing a business relationship, even the lady at the front desk who helped me pick up my food from Heru was apologizing because she didn't understand how this could even happen. I next to never call managers with complaints and surety don't expect comped food but I wanted the store know that my experience was unacceptable from 3 of its employees. read more

Haven't been to a Piggly Wiggly in years, so thought I'd check it out because they had a coffee that I wanted to try. The bakery is pretty slim picking and mostly packaged other than a few donuts and things. The seafood is also very slim mostly frozen and a very small meat department. Prices are on the high-end unless you buy their specials like most places. There was only one checkout lane, which was kind of frustrating. No self check out. read more

I do appreciate any chance to say, Piggly Wiggly. I've been in worse supermarkets with names that aren't fun at all. I do wish all supermarkets would hold training classes in grocery bags. Packing doubled paper sacks seems to be an art lost back in the 1970s along with dancing "the bump" and cocktail party small talk. When I bring in my own bags, they put two or three items in each bag then start in on the plastic. Anyway, that's all supermarkets now, so not fair to judge this place on that. There's an adequate number of human cashiers, the goods are adequate in variety, price, quality and freshness. I get to say, Piggly Wiggly. And I will. Piggly Wiggly Piggly Wiggly came out to play. But Piggly Wiggly was too fat, got picked on and that was that. Razorback Boar was Wiggly's Dad. Didn't put up with the porker's abuse, got so randy, he attacked a moose. Piggly Wiggly wanted a stuffed goose, a goose was dandy but it was no use, because all they had was turkey juice. Razorback put a stop to that. Banned the goose with juicy jerky. "No turkey gonna give him malarkey." "I ain't no turkey." Wiggley confided. But it was decided, Razor abided, "It's to the cookhouse for you." Razor lost his only fat son, but Wigley's bacon was yum. Lost my business for good. Ridiculously poor customer service at deli. Shop there because I like the boars head brand. They never use the take a # tickets, so it's always a mess as far as who's next. They've got two guys working on a saturday. Both incredibly slow. I'm talking with a fellow customer, Says he's getting 4 things, will be awhile. I go do all my shopping, come back, and he is just getting helped. One of the workers has left, now down to one. I wait about 15 minutes, not exaggerating, for 3 customers in front of me. I Finally get my one pound of turkey. Hurray! P.S. there produce sucks. Nothing is close to fresh. I think they sell what pick n save throws out. read more

I used to LOVE Piggly Wiggly and would not mind the higher prices because it was worth it for the excellent customer service. That is no longer the case. Their customer service is very poor. I went to buy one package of coffee pods today while I was out running errands. I was running late and all 3 lanes were full of people buying full carts of groceries. In the past, when this had happened and I only had one item, a cashier from the customer service desk would pull me over and check me out. That's happened at multiple locations. Today, I walked up to the customer service area and got my card out so that I was ready. The woman who was back there was looking at a binder. When she acknowledged me, she looked at me like I was crazy and done something highly offensive. I was puzzled to be greeted like this as I was smiling politely at her and had been nothing but decent in the few seconds of our interaction. She asked if she could help me in an offensive and "Karen" like tone. I knew that by her tone she did not want to help me at all. I kept the smile on anyway and explained that I had been told before that I could just come up if I had one item and the lines were full. She said she didn't have anyone to check me out, so I wouldn't be able to check out there. I waited a beat for her to realize that in fact SHE was there and she could check me out in just a few seconds. It didn't dawn on her either because she was not very intelligent or because she just didn't want to help me, so I politely thanked her and walked away. I put the coffee back. I will never go back to that store. I'm pretty sure that the "Karen" who refused to help me was some sort of manager . She was heavy-set, white and had long, dark hair. read more

Piggly Wiggly is about the middle of the night road when it comes to grocery stores. I've been in worse and I've been in better. They have a fairly decent selection of most items however I would personally stay away from buying meat here. The few times I have looked at it, the meat never looked good. I will say that I've never had an issue with customer service (*knock on wood) with any of the employees here - including the teens - which is sadly unusual these days. They're prices are about average too. Usually lower than pick n save or something but more expensive than places like Walmart. This has become my stop and grab a couple items on the way home from work store because it's good for that but I do the bulk of the weekly shopping elsewhere because meat is a big part of my family's meals and I won't by the meat here. read more

The deli is really good. They have good customer service and the lines to check out usually aren't long. Look out for the cart guy Roger. He will run in front of your car to chase after people with carts. He can also startle you when you are putting groceries in your trunk. read more

This Piggly Wiggly has a lot of hidden gems. It has your basics like all PW shops. The deli is quite good and they cut a lot of meat by hand. You do have to wait a bit but that is the nature of hand sliced deli. Their hot tea/coffee selection is very impressive. They have quite a few varieties and cost is very good. I was looking for tea and could not find any other than online. I stopped in for something else and the aisle was well stocked with Bigelow, Stash, and more! In addition they have a good selection of coffee and k cups. I think they have a good selection of gluten free items as well. It is definitely my go to store for my every day and special occasion needs! read more

I am surprised that I have not read any reviews that talk about the almost unbearably foul smell that one encounters when they enter the building near the produce department.I am not entirely sure what it is, but it's been going on since about Christmas and it's nauseating. This, in addition to their sketchy looking meat and produce is what has kept me away. I used to frequent this store on a weekly basis when it was Sentry. Now, most of the Sentry employees are gone, and the ones in their place look like they would rather be anywhere else. They've looked like this before the bad smell, so it's not that. I have not been in the store for a couple of weeks, so perhaps this smell has been resolved. However, how was it not addressed immediately? I mentioned it to the guy unloading produce and he did not acknowledge me(another issue). Maybe his septum is broken. Lots to fix, Piggly Wiggly; it doesn't appear that anyone cares about what needs fixing. Sad. read more

Not any people helping you get anything I came at 8:30 it closes at 11:00 there is hardly any food I would not recommend I was just browsing some of the food I see muffins 1 of them are gone so someone ate it very bad food and service would never go there again and the registers only 1 person working there person seems very kind but overall would not recommend. When I left all I saw was that one person at the register I was VERY disappointed in this store another thing is the food when I tasted some things I got tasted a bit weird so they or something must have done something to the food overall this place should just go out of business would not recommend. read more

Always clean and neat. Best of all I can always find someone to help me if I have aquestion. All my needs are met in one location.

Clean. Open "late" (usually till 11pm). Prices are always lower than PickNSave. The meat quality is just okay. I will only buy meat from here if I am cooking it that day or the next. Produce is usually fully stocked but you have to pick thru to find the good stuff. Isles are labeled well and there is usually someone around to help. May not be the most pleasant person but I always throw back a super nice comment to try and make them smile. I frequently visit this store considering it is less than a mile away from home. read more

I'm done with the pig! Twice now we got salad (checked for best one) and got home and went to use it, half of its rotten and smells awful, wow waste of money. Produce quality is down a lot since it became piggly. Most items are too pricey, I can get cheaper at pick n save or Woodman's. the worst customer service, twice my bagged items were not put in my cart, after the 2nd time, the mgr was not going to give me my items even though i had the sales slip and called right away, today I stopped in to get cigarettes, I went to the desk and the young lady said I should go to the cashier line and asked for them. I was charged for two packages of cheese when I only bought one. When I went back to the store for a refund I was basically called a liar and was refused a refund. I have been a customer at this store for 33 years. Since the store changed from a family owned franchise to a corporate store the quality and service have plummeted. The store manager was very rude and very inexperienced. I will buy my groceries elsewhere from now on. It's pretty sad when management chooses to lose a loyal customer over $2.39!!!!!! read more

Their bakery department is awful. Went in to look at Toy Story cakes, they had 2 of them in their book. No one in the bakery department was able to answer any of the questions I had about ordering a cake. They said I need to talk to the manager who would be in the next day. Okay, fine. So the next morning I call the bakery manager, Barb, and to start with she was very short with me. Then I start to ask her about the cakes, and she tells me they don't have Toy Story cakes. Really?!? I told her I was just in the day before and saw them in the book. Come on! I mean I don't expect the manager to know every design they have in the book, but she wouldn't have even checked for me. So I asked about a specific 10 inch 2 layered cake which is the one I saw in the book. She said she had to call Grebes Bakery to check. So I call her back in a half hour, and she says that Grebes told her that specific cake was only available on a quarter sheet, half sheet, etc. I did order the cake, even though I didn't think the cake would look the best on a quarter sheet. The was the design of the cake was, a lot of the decorating was on the side of the cake, so it would have looked best on a tiered cake. Anyways, she was very short with me, seemed like she was in a hurry and didn't even tell me a time I could pick it up. Well I decided to call Grebes Bakery myself. They said they could do the 2 tiered cake if I ordered directly from them. So that's what I did. And they were much nicer and provided great customer service. A day later, I call to cancel the order, they can't even find the order! I couldn't even believe it! Although I guess it didn't surprise me considering how short and rude Barb was on the phone. In my mind i was thinking, is she even writing this down? Thank goodness I called Grebes directly, otherwise I wouldn't have had a Toy Story cake for my sons birthday. Don't order your cakes here!
