There is no way I will ever send my grandson back to that shop. The staff especially the owner she works those barbers like slaves no breaks, especially when dealing with child with mental disorders. My grandson wasn't afraid of the barbershop until now. I did see a barber there who was doing an excellent job she wore long braids. She was doing a great job on a child that was having so many issues. The shop owner was very mean to the women with the braids. I hope she opens a kids barbershop for all children especially in the Black community. The one star is just to post it. No stars for this business. read more

While the service here is firmly mediocre, my son likes the police car seats. Since it's a hike from my house and expensive at $25 for a basic 10 min kid's cut (28$ if you have any kind of stylist request), I always wait for coupon texts to go. Yesterday I received a question asking my favorite season. I responded today and received a text stating save 5$ if you go TODAY with links to scheduling sites. I figured this may be because there was a funeral that backed up the entire county but I sat in traffic for about 2 hours round trip to get there. (Usually it's 30 mins each way) to use this. While my son was getting his haircut I was in the playroom with my toddler and saw the receptionist taking pictures of my son getting his haircut without my permission. It struck me odd but I wrote it off. Then when I went to pay I was told that the text was for yesterday and they would not honor it even though it was sent and clearly stated today!!! THEN I posted a much briefer review just stating they didn't honor their coupon and that's bad for business. Within minutes the store has blocked me on Facebook (and deleted the review). So now I'll be going on every other social outlet to post this because what a horribly dishonest business model!!!!! read more

Conchetta has now taken care of my sweet 1.5 year old twice now. Both times I have been so anxious for my baby to get his hair cut but he always has a great time visiting here and seeing everyone. Conchetta makes great conversation with me and my son, and is always so patient. I don't know the amazing front desk ladies name, but both times she has been so wonderful in making sure my baby has a great time. She always gives him treats and even came and helped wipe his nose when I had my hands full and had no wipes. I WILL MAKE THE 30 MINUTE DRIVE FOR THIS PLACE. read more

I really like the hair stylist who cut my kid hair. But about the staff is another story. I now about the policy and other stuffs, but you guys don't care about the costumer. Yes, I try to schedule 2 times on October 30 or 31 and I couldn't make (at this time my youngest was 6 months old and it's not easy get out the home with a 3 years old and a 6 months, I rais my hands for every mom who get this easy), but I answered say I will not attend. And when I schedule this time, I don't receive any message about a "no show fee", for my surprise I just discovered that when I check the exchange and questioned the receptionist and she told me about that. This was very unprofessional and I was very frustrated. If I really don't like the place or something like that I probably never will get back there, was just one time and try to get there on October. I understand very well about no show appointment, everybody is on the risk to not make about the appointments specially with kids, maybe one advis will be: try give one "no show appointment" grace and understand!! you are receiving the "no show fee" and probably lost further appointments I really sorry because of that I will never get there again! read more

I'm a fan of the Pigtails and Crewcute franchise and have patronized other locations. I recently moved to West Cobb and decided to give this location a try. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when learning that 3C/type 4/curly (AKA ethnic) haircuts come at a $15 premium against other hair types. This is not the case at other locations. When I inquired why I was told "because it's a specialty hair" and isn't as easy as other hair types. I will never be made to feel like my or my son's hair is a burden in its natural state. If the hair is too difficult for existing stylists, consider hiring a diverse group of stylists who specialize in this hair type. Or, consider increasing the prices for all children's haircuts. But it is incredibly exclusionary to charge minorities a premium for the same service due to lack of skill set. read more

Long story short the manager/owner is not understanding and a complete jerk. She charged me a no show fee when I did in fact SHOW UP. I admit I was 13 minutes late to my daughter's hair appointment. She said I had missed the appointment entirely and charged me $25 (and some change) because she and her staff were going to lunch. I was fine with rescheduling. But I wasn't okay with rescheduling and her still charging me the no show fee. Needless to say we will never be back. I had 3 small kids with me that I was struggling to get in and out of the car. Life happens. But the manager/owner is uncaring and unforgiving. We went to Great Clips down the street and they did a fantastic job. Great Clips had us in and out in 10 minutes and the price was way more affordable. So go to your local Great Clips, SUCH BETTER SERVICE than here! read more

My son gets his haircut here & absolutely loves it!!! He actually runs out of the car & through the front door. The staff is really great with kids & I've always been satisfied with the results. The kids can sit in chairs that resemble airplanes, police cars, fire trucks, etc. They have flat screen televisions & play kids movies, they also have snacks (animal crackers) & lollipops. Once they are finished with the haircut, your child can choose from a prize box by the front door. There is a train table for children to play on while they wait & some comfortable couches for parents as well! The haircut for a little boy will cost you $16.95 plus tip, but it's worth it (not sure if it is the same cost for a girl). Call ahead & schedule a haircut or you could be in for a bit of a wait - this place is pretty popular! They also have toys for sale & you can plan a child's birthday here as well. It makes me laugh when I see reviewers that feel that kids haircuts should be cheaper than adults. I'm just glad they don't charge double. I had the worst customer service experience at this location yesterday. I had a 12:15 appointment for my 2 year old son. I arrived 15 minutes early. When the stylist, Ms Ree, came to get us from the waiting room, I realized my son had a dirty diaper. I asked if she would mind if I changed him first, so it would be more of a pleasurable experience for everyone. She said ok, but was very short. I took him to the car and changed him quickly. We were back in 5 minutes. She took another little boy in the meantime and started his haircut. She said I'll take you when I'm done with him. We had to wait 15 more minutes for her to complete his haircut. If you have a 2 year old, then you know how long their patience is. I can't believe she told me it was fine, then took another appointment. I will not be coming back to this location. There are plenty of other options for haircuts, including other pigtails and Crewcuts. I will take my business to a location that appreciates their customers. read more

We came here to get my 2 year olds bang's trimmed, and we were told since we didn't have an appointment, we could wait for a cancellation or wait for 2 and a half hours for an appointment. We have taken our kids here quite a few times but I don't think we will be going back due to the RUDE lady working the front desk. She had no concept of customer service. The last time I had one of my kid's hair cut there I made an appointment and showed up quite a bit early and was prepared to wait for our time slot. When I arrived there was NO ONE there getting a hair cut and the two stylists were waiting at the desk with the lady who was working the front desk. The stylists both said hello and smiled, but not the front desk lady. I told them I was early and the lady working the desk told me that I would just have to sit and wait or I could leave and come back at my appointment time. She was rude about it and acted like I was crazy for being early. I was prepared to wait but not prepared for the attitude that she dished out. I ended up waiting and one of the stylists worked me in within about 10 minutes no problem. I tried again today and didn't make an appointment on purpose (since it didn't help me at all the last time to have one) and the same lady was working the desk when I got there. She again didn't say hello and was texting or something on her phone when I walked in. I told her I didn't have an appointment and without even looking up she told me they were booked all day but that she might be able to get me in three hours later... She said "do you have some errands to run so you can just come back then?" (Still not looking up from her phone) and I said "no".. and she just said "well I'm booked. Do you just want me to put you down for the slot in three hours?" (Still not looking up from her phone)...she was so rude!!!. I left and drove about 15 minutes to another place that was cheaper and had staff that was WAY nicer. It really is a shame that the lady at the desk is so unpleasant... because until she was working the desk we would go and wait 15-20 minutes and get our kids' hair cut no problem. The stylists are nice and great at cutting hair (even for our challenging toddler)... But that lady has ruined it for us. It's like she's made it impossible to get in to get a hair cut. Incredibly expensive, prices have raised. For a simple boy's cut, once tax and tip have been added, it'll be $35. They've also changed it so you have to pay extra to choose your stylist. Last time, I was two minutes late, and they gave a walk in my spot. TWO. I was ready to give them another chance because my boy really likes it there and we haven't gotten a bad cut there yet (although its nothing special). But they sent me a text asking for confirmation with a long list of completely unreasonable requirements. If you aren't there five minutes EARLY now, you give up your appointment. No more than 15 minutes are allotted, if they decide your hair is too tangled they want to charge extra, and they claim they're going to charge a fee for late cancellation (although I don't know how they could since they don't have a card on file...) Translation: "We now have a policy of overbooking, so that we have a butt in our chair every instant possible. In order to accomplish this, we have to give ourselves every chance to not have to wait for you for even ten seconds." This is too much. This is worse than a doctor's office. For more than twenty five dollars, it's completely unreasonable. I'm not a Karen. I'm on time. I'm courteous. I tip well. Having a TV with a kid's show and an airplane chair isn't worth it. read more

Per google this location is 25 mins from my house, but despite leaving early I was 6 minutes late. This was my first time visiting this business & upon arrival I was told due to being late to my appointment I was being pushed from 1045 to 12pm because they were "booked up" for the day. Also note I booked my appointment online 1.5 hrs prior and there was over 20 appointment slots available. With infant & toddler in tow, this is an absolutely absurd request. After explaining that I would not be driving back at a later time they gave my son a haircut at that time. I noted no one was waiting to get their haircut when I left. Great haircut & my son loved sitting in the taxi cab to get his haircut. Trying to leave is a bit of a nightmare since they have a huge wall full of toys for purchase. So.... be sure you are very early for your appointment! read more

We had booked an appointment for our son and needed to change it. Spoke on the phone with someone there and rescheduled it for a couple days later. When we got there they couldn't find an appointment for us. I know it was rebooked as I had the person I rescheduled it with read it back to me on the phone, even had her name. Didn't matter, they didn't have an appointment on file. Ok, so people make mistakes. In the past, they have done our son's haircuts in under 10 minutes, so usually super quick, so I figured they would just fit us in, right? Nope. They wouldn't do it. Really??? They didn't even lift a pinky finger to try to accommodate us even though it was their error. The person at the front desk didn't even ask the hair stylists if they could squeeze him in. Perhaps the most piss poor customer service I've experienced in years. I mean, we had never been super impressed with the customer service on previous visits, but thought it was cool that they had the seats made out of fire trucks, police cars, etc. We ended up going to Super Cuts and got the same hair cut, cheaper, and with better customer service. Our son wasn't even bothered that it was a regular barbour's chair instead of a vehicle. Win for us, I suppose. read more

My daughter needed a haircut on a Sunday, so although this was a bit out of our way, we tried it out. I read that they don't take appointments so I tried to be there at opening. Got there at 12:30 and there was already a list. I'd driven all the way out there, so no turning back now. Our wait ended up being an hour. Ugh. They do have a lot of different toys set up for kids to play, but my daughter is good for 15 minutes max on any given toy. I didn't realize that you can call ahead and get on the list. Wish I would have known that. Tiffani (sp?) was very sweet and did a fine job with my daughter's hair. The price is what I've been paying since my daughter was born, so I don't consider it high. I'll try the East Cobb location and go on a less-busy day/time. I think 15 minutes is a reasonable max wait time, so hoping this visit can live up! read more

We've brought our son here 3 times and unfortunately they've struck out all 3 times which is sad because they're the only kids haircut place in town. Two different stylists did not cut his hair as we requested. The third attempt we waited over an hour and watched as 7 other kids who came after us got their hair cut. When we asked what was going on (we went in the day before and they said they don't take appointments) they asked us where we were in line. We pointed out that we were still at the top of the sign-in sheet along with another mother & child who got there a few minutes before us and then she blew is off and took another child that just walked in. As we walked out we learned that the secret to being seen is to call 30 minutes ahead. I recommend finding another place that cares about your time and patronage. read more

Must Read, One PISSED OFF MOMMA I started going to Pigtails and Crewcuts when my son was just 9 months old. Soon he will be 3! This morning I made an apt 9:45 and pulled in parking lot at 9:59 and got both my 1 year and and 2.5 year old out of car and inside by 9:53! Yes I was late for my apt. Not 20 minute not 30 minutes but exactly 8 minute.. and when I say exactly I mean exactly because I pulled out my phone when the front desk lady informed me that I could not get my sons hair cut with our Normal girl (which by the way I love and my son does as well.. my horrible experience was not her fault). I said so I'm 8 minutes late and unloaded the kids, troller, bags and all and he can't get his hair cut... NOPE. But you can come back at noon! ARE YOU KIDDING!!! Mind you, I can account of 2 times I showed up when I had an appointment and waited because the people in front of me weren't finished. Yet I had an apittoinment! But yet I didn't mind at all. No big deal right.. I don't have a schedule either. However the 1 damn time I show up 8 minutes late you want to push me right out the door. Unprofessional and utterly mind blowing. Especially because For the last 2 years I have been consistently getting my sons hair cut almost exactly every 6 weeks paying $19.95 and tipping 5 on top of that and you can't let my son who is so easy to do maybe would take 8 minutes IF (and that's a BIG IF)that to cut his hair. The stylist will voulche I'm sure of it. But because "yall" like to give your clients the full time allotted(exact words of front desk lady) for each costumer(guess I'm chopped liver) you couldn't allow a paying costumer of 2.5 years.. sit down real quick to buzz the back and Sissor cut the top. Freaking redicilous and I was PISSED and made it known! It's called costumer service. And incase this business forgot your dealing with moms and kids who might I add are stressed enough as it is and run late every now and then. To be exact.. my 1st time EVER being late in 2.5 years after coming in every 6 weeks CONSISTENTLY. I mean idk you do the math... about 130 weeks In 2.5 years divide that by 6 and multiply that by 19.95... about $$ 433 and that's doesn't include 5 dollar tip which would be about $$541! All I got to say is this momma will NEVER be back! You work in people, you make it work, you take care of your costumes. Especially ones who have been coming for years. It's a shame because my son loves Shai and so do I. I've been a loyal costumer for years at this location. I scheduled an appointment for my son on Saturday, 2/4/17 at 4:45 with Ms. Shay. Because of the amount of cars leaving Oregon Park, I arrived inside the salon at 4:47. At this time Ms. Shay was welcoming a new client. I was told that because I wasn't there at 4:45, they let my appointment go to someone else. Funny thing is that I was told before that the salon's procedure is to wait 5 minutes only. Well, not in my case. I am extremely disappointed. I always make appointments with Ms. Shay for both of my children and several times I had to wait for her because "stuff happens". But the salon couldn't wait 5 minutes for me. I will take my boys for haircuts where old clients like me are more respected. I will also make sure I share what happened on my social media. Couldn't get anyone to answer the phone for an appointment so finally booked online. Booked a 2:15 appt at 1:45. We arrived 10 min early (confirmation email advised to arrive 5 min early). We waited 30+ minutes for my daughters scheduled appointment. The place was dirty, hair everywhere and smelled like disinfectant. There were 3 cutters in there also trying to play receptionist. Kept saying they were short staffed...couldn't get receipts to print etc. asked why I was still waiting after 30 minutes and they rudely told me they worked on "kid time". I've been taking my daughter here for years. Very kid friendly and LOVE all the unique toys. They always have very pretty bows and barrettes for the holidays or just in general. It's perfect if you need to get a haircut for your child and pick up a gift for a birthday party. Love it read more

They have WAY too many tempting toys for purchase for a place that is supposed to do haircuts. Really, do you need an entire wall of toys to convince your kid to sit still for a haircut?? The customer service and scheduling is terrible. I have booked appointments every time and when I show up we still wait up to 30 minutes, then today we missed our appointment by 7 minutes (I thought our appointment was 15 minutes later than it was) and our spot was given away and we were told they couldn't be fit in until several hours later. That is crazy. I understand scheduling but you better do it across the board. You tell us you don't take walk ins, you gave our spot away to one, then you won't fit us in. It takes 8minutes to cut my sons hair. Another time I had the email confirmation for our appointment and she swore we didn't have an appointment for us but she could make it for later that day. My husband has gone in and seen empty spots but told he couldn't be seen with out an appointment. Geez. Three strikes we are out. I wasn't concerned with whether or not they knew how to cut hair; my thoughts were on how they would deal with my son. It's not unlike choosing a physician; they could be very "knowledgeable" with horrible bedside manner. The ladies of Pigtails & Crewcuts were both skilled and warm. My son met the experience with the typical skepticism of a four-year old, but was quickly disarmed by the charms of Ms. Shai and her team. I will not hesitate to bring my son back again. read more

This places is AWESOME. It's beautiful inside, as if it can't get any more centered around the world of little ones! I got the " First hair cut" special for my two year old and she was calm and happy the whole time. The stylist was fine with my taking pictures throughout for the grandparents and even suggested things for my kids hair. It is a little pricey but for younger kids who aren't used to the every day things we go through its a big comfort and worth the extra money to see my baby happy and content. read more
