Stella, did not listen at all to what we said. I showed her a picture of what we wanted, told her we wanted to keep his hair long, just needed to trim the back a tiny bit and bangs a tiny bit. She cut his sides very short, and crooked. When I mentioned it to her, she was rude and told me I should've told her to begin with. When it was the first thing I told her before we began. She had no warm care for the child. Everything was rushed and did an awful job. Will not be coming back. Do not work with Stella. read more

I wasn't going to write a review, but I feel it's important to share our experience so other parents--especially those with neurodivergent children--can be aware. We've been regular customers and have always asked for Sasha, who is incredibly gentle and skilled. Unfortunately, she wasn't available during our recent visit, so we were booked with Stella. Before the appointment, we informed the receptionist that our 5-year-old son has autism and cannot tolerate electric razors. We specifically requested a scissor-only cut, and were assured this wouldn't be a problem. From the moment we arrived, Stella appeared visibly annoyed when our son hesitated to sit in the chair. I had to hold him in my lap while my wife helped keep him calm and still. He was understandably distressed and crying, so we asked to take short breaks. Each time, Stella sighed audibly, showed impatience, and suggested using the razor "to make it faster"--for both our son and herself--because she had other clients waiting. It was clear she was rushing and lacked the sensitivity required for working with children like ours. When our son finally calmed down, I politely asked if she could tidy up a few uneven spots, as the haircut looked quite rough. She bluntly refused, saying, "No, I don't want to cut my finger." We decided to just fix it ourselves at home. What truly shocked us, though, was her parting comment: "Do you believe in God? You should pray for your autistic son, you know." That was completely inappropriate, unprofessional, and hurtful. This experience was incredibly upsetting. Stella's attitude was rude, impatient, and completely lacking in empathy. I took my daughter to get a cut, I asked to give her some layers. Unfortunately she really did not know how to cut layers and pretty much butchered my daughter's hair. I was so upset and went home to try to salvage her hair. Now there's really not much that we can do except to wait for it to grow. I'm highly disappointed and would not come back ever again. This is a sweatshop salon and if you're a boy getting a haircut, you probably won't have any problems. Not a place to get a girls haircut! I wish I could get a refund but honestly I'm beyond upset because of how my daughter's hair turned out. read more

Filomena is amazing! My wife has taken my son here 3 times and has always done an amazing job each and every time! We tried out a few places, but this place is not only priced nicely, but great staff and very quick service! All their staff is really amazing with kids! They have tvs for the kids to watch as they get their hair cut. Kids need to sit still and anything that helps right? Lol! They have really cute seats for the kids to sit in as well! A firetruck an airplane and many others. Reservations are recommended. Sometimes they get booked up and you might not get the hairstylist that you prefer... All in all, if you have a really young kid and need their haircut, especially if it's their first haircut, this is your place! Ask for Filomena! We highly recommend her! read more

this place is truly not equipped to handle ear piercings or children after they messed up my daughters ear the first time and had to re pierce twice - I brought her back after an earring felt out and she was admittedly nervous we paused and then as she decided she wanted to do it the next customer came in and they wanted me to wait another half hour (when we were their first customer and there for a very nervous apt!) so unhelpful and rude - not to mention unprofessional. You think a place where they see kids would know how to handle big feelings and equipped to help kids. Would never recommend! Not even worth it for a haircut. Save yourself the grief! read more

Made an appointment online with their highest rated stylist. Not naming names just leaving a review of my experience. We arrived early and after about 10 minutes after our appointment time a random stylist said we were next with her, i said I didn't make an appointment with you. She said the other stylist was running behind. Ultimately i was not happy either this new stylist, didn't listen to what i wanted and kinda did her thing with my son's hair. All the while the original stylist i booked was chatting it up with a few moms, i thought she was busy??? Lastly at check out not pleased with the bump down and hack job on my son's head the stylist tries to sell me something from all the tchotchkes around the register. This was the last time I will be bringing my son to this establishment. No customer loyalty, low range-mid stylists and sleazy used car dealer mentality. Went today to get my sons hair cut and stylist we booked was running behind and that's fine, things happen so they asked if we would like to go with another that way my sons hair could be taken care of quicker so we said sure. Boy that was a mistake. Stylist was not personable at all. Did not even introduce herself to my son and started moving his head around and seeing he was nervous she just kept going then told me I needed to help hold his head but he wasn't moving him around she just wasn't even telling him anything so he wasn't moving and was nervous. Very weird , uncomfy and my son asked why the lady wasn't very friendly when we got to the car. I wish we waited to go somewhere else for $27 dollars plus tip that she did not deserve it was a total rip off for that experience . read more

Today I took my son for a long waited haircut - he is 20 months old and gets impatient very quickly. In short this was by far the best haircut he got in his entire life. :) Filomena was very patient and nice to me and my son and his hair looks great. She actually had so much fun, she can't stop talking about it. She loved sitting in the train. I will say I have only had experience with one stylist at this location which is Tia, but I could not be any happier with my sons haircuts. He is 3 1/2 and we have been coming to this location for about a year. He absolutely loves getting his haircut, and whenever we mention a haircut he even says "Tia gonna cut it". She is so patient and it's amazing how she cuts his hair with him moving around like crazy in the seat. If you go on a weekend make sure you have an appointment, and still expect a significant wait. That is my only complaint, it is always busy, and I'm always stuck waiting way too long. read more

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be returning - this was my third and last time. I showed the stylist a picture of what I wanted for my son but she didn't follow the picture and cut the hair so short - I lost his beautiful curls. It's also pricier than other nearby options. I also don't find the staff very friendly... I feel like you need be extra animated when working with kids and take some time to ease them into the process. The online appointments are nice though. We recently moved to the area and were very excited about finding a new place to braid my three-year-old daughter's hair. The place is very cute and I found the employees to be nice. After stopping in with my daughter I was told my daughter's hair would take about 45 minutes, so about $35. Imagine my surprise when my husband came home and showed me the receipt. We paid $95, with tip! More than double what I was quoted!! The braids are cute and neat, but not necessarily special. Paying nearly $100 for my daughter's hair I feel taken advantage of and outraged. Two stars because we loved the final product but they just lost what could have been a long term customer. read more

This review is super late! We brought our then 3 year old daughter for her first ever haircut and we had a rough time. Since it was her first haircut, she wasn't the most cooperative. The first person who attempted her hair was not great with understanding how to deal with a shy, stranger danger, reluctant child. She didn't seem patient and had no business being around a kid, as her frustrations were starting to show. We took a short break and then another woman stepped in to attempt to cut her hair. This was still a very rough undertaking, but after figuring out a few ways to just bypass the screaming, crying toddler, she managed to get in a few snips + some final finishing using lightsaber skills! Overall, we'd like to come back - but are still a little unsure about how they'd deal with our two year old son who cannot sit still for his life! Also - I'm not sure I love the in your face retail temptations clearly geared towards kids - totally fine with having the retail concept, but maybe less prominent - like towards the back? Jen!!! The amazing and patient hairdresser! Never in a million years did I think my son would let anyone cut his hair. But Jen was so patient with him. She approached the "hair cutting experience" in a different way compared to other salons we have gone too. She first had my son get use to the salon and then slowly showed him the water bottle and comb. Whenever he got nervous she was patient and backed off and then calmed him down. She also cut his hair while he was standing up at the train table, basically accommodating where ever he felt comfortable. I would give Jen 10 stars if I could read more

I cannot say enough good things about here. My son is going to be three next month and has been very shy lately so I was a little hesitant for him to try and get a haircut from someone that wasn't family. As soon as we walked in he was hooked. He got to pick which seat he wanted. Naturally he picked the police car and they even let him hold a Dino he saw for his haircut. I love how she ( believe her name was Jenn?) explained to him what she was going to do before she did it. She made him feel so comfortable and he sat like a champ throughout the whole cut. This location has great stylists, but terrible receptionists. I booked my son's first professional hair cut. I was told to arrive five minutes before my appointment. They told me who my stylist was, and I was fine with that, but I didn't know anyone, so I didn't care what stylist I had. When I got there, I was told I had to wait for the stylist they had booked me with. I ended up waiting 45 minutes. I asked them to put me with someone else, and they didn't. Instead, they let other people who came after me go first. After repeated attempts to speak with the receptionist, I finally asked a stylist, who explained that when the receptionist book the stylist, and the customer behind that stylist comes late, or has more than one child, the next customer has to wait for the person the receptionist booked. If you book an appointment, be sure to tell the receptionist that you don't care who the stylist is, or they will make you wait. They should only accept walk-ins if that's the case. read more

The store is spacious & clean and they have a good selection of toys, shampoos, etc. I've heard from some other parents that some stylists aren't very good, but I've had a couple good ones that I go back to each time. I took my 2 year old here for her first haircut. Despite having an appointment, we waited almost 45 minutes. I specifically made the appointment for the "first haircut package" so the expectation was set that this was my kids first haircut. I specifically brought her to a "kids" place assuming they would be patient and have some ideas how to manage a toddler and reluctant/scared behavior. After waiting, the stylist tried to take someone else who had just walked in. The receptionist was very kind and made sure that we got to go next after waiting so long. However, the minute my daughter showed the slightest bit of hesitation the stylist just said "she's not going to do it. Just come back tomorrow when we aren't this busy". Truth is, I wasn't planning On letting my daughter scream over a haircut, but we were no where near that point. She was hesitant to sit in the chair and holding onto mommy, pretty typical. She just needed a minute to get acclimated. Not have someone dismiss her so quickly and basically tell us to leave so she could take her next client. Also, the salon smelled terrible.
