I've taken my 2 boys to P&C several times since they opened and I have to say that we always get a very decent cut. The store is spacious & clean and they have a good selection of toys, shampoos, etc. I've heard from some other parents that some stylists aren't very good, but I've had a couple good ones that I go back to each time. The prices are also reasonable, given the attention to detail and quality of the cuts. read more

Abysmal experience here today. My husband and I brought our 10-month old in for his first haircut. The place is adorable, with plenty of toys for sale, of course. We put our names down on the list at the reception desk, which was a manned by a girl who made no mention of the wait time. She didn't say anything, actually, not where to wait, etc. There were a couple of people in the waiting area, so a woman (who appeared to be in charge, was friendly) walked by and told us we could wait in the party room, which was cute and had toys and a movie on. After about 30 minutes, the woman told us we were up next, so we moved out towards the chairs... where a kid was having a full blown meltdown. Screaming, spitting, hitting the stylists, punching the mirror, etc. Not his fault, it happens. But at this point, the friendly woman is gone and there are two stylists and a room full of people and one stylist is fully occupied with the tantrum kid for quite a while. She was totally frazzled, understandably. The other stylist was nice and seemed to like kids, but the pace was glacial. I keep going up the receptionist and checking our place on the list, which somehow doesn't seem to be getting closer to the top. After a full hour waiting, I asked her how long and she said another 10-15 minutes. My son was creeping up on naptime and I was sure it wouldn't be long before HE was the tantrum kid, so we had to cut our losses. So no haircut for us. I was annoyed that no mention was made of ANY wait time -- we overheard her say 45 min to someone else after we'd already been there a while. There were not nearly enough people cutting hair on a busy weekend afternoon, and no one had any idea how to properly deal with an extremely upset kid. Seems like a prerequisite for a kids hair salon. read more

Have been taking my son here for 3 years. There have been some stylists better than others. Overall they are always great with kids, patient and take their time. I have never had issues with the front desk. They are busy when most salons are busy its no surprise. If you walk in and theres 5 kids ahead guess what, you have to wait. Very disappointed.. I brought both my kids for a haircut and before I entered my wife had asked the front register lady if service dogs are welcomed. They denied a service dog leaving the dog in 92 degrees weather. First it's against the law for any service dog to be denied and I will be filing a case against them for that. Next comes the cuts my son was screaming his brains out as from what I noticed the stylist did not care about him and wanted to just get my son done with so she can take another client. She was upset when my second son was next cause she didn't know she was taking two kids, she then asked me if it's possible to move the second kid to another stylist and do both at once to make time go faster. This place was very rushed and also they cut both my kids with the blade. This place isn't very good and I won't be coming back. Also once they discriminated my service dog it was done money not worth it at all. read more

They took good care of him - right from making him feel comfortable with the adorable plane seat and bib to giving us time by ourselves when he started crying. So, I researched for weeks and decided on pigtails and crewcuts for my 20 month old's 2nd haircut. We called and explained that our last attempt left him a little hysterical and asked who they'd recommend we make an appointment with. We got there and loved the salon, the train set was a great distraction to get him to warm up to the place, the TVs and toys made it a much more tolerable experience for him. However, his hair was butchered (even after providing a photo of what we wanted and asking her to stop cutting when the bald spots became too much). I really don't think the stylist could have even noticed or cared that he was a nervous one year old...2 stars for the fun toys and friendly receptionist but I don't think we'd ever go back. read more

We had an appointment for 10 and when we arrived they were unable to see us at that time. Even though this was the case we only waited 15 minutes in a separate room with toys and a tv so I can't complain too much. I forget the name of the older woman who gave my son his first haircut but she was very patient and took her time. He didn't cry one bit and was all smiles. We got him the first hair cut package which comes with a Picture and she took a bunch and none of them were good so she asked if I could get one and finally he cooperated so she asked me to send it to her so it could be printed. We took our twins in August for their first haircuts. Giselle was an absolute delight! She is kind, patient, playful and caring. She has a calm about her that my boys loved. I've been here three times already. Don't know why I haven't done a review sooner . I've worked directly with Tahirah. She is soooo good with my son. He's only 2 years. She does great cuts, asks me questions on what I would like for him. She has lots of patience and doesn't rush even if other customers walk in which is good. We've always gotten great attention, and little handsome haircuts for him. Going to be hard to replace Tahorah since we're moving soon... I'll be on the search for the next best thing. The stylists are great (especially Tia and Jen) but the owner lacks customer service. I booked an appointment online for a certain time and when I got to the place for the cut, the owner told me that the appointment was changed...by who and why wasn't I notified? She claims she called and confirmed the new time, but I have the confirmation for the time I made. She didn't offer anything in return for the inconvenience. She was actually smirking as I was upset. I took my 7 year old to get a trim (dusting) on her ends and bangs. First impression was the girl at the front desk has no personality. It was pretty busy when I got there, however the stylists would go up to the girl at the counter and say "I know it's busy but I'm going to step out for a few min, I'll take someone when I get back" she simply just kept saying ok as they all walked by you like you weren't there. When it was our turn the girl at the front desk pointed at us and Jeanie walked us to the chair, I told her I did not want her to take any length off just dusting to make it look neat and give it shape. She said OK no problem. Then a big chunk came off and she said " her hair is longer on one side I have to make it even" I said ok and she kept cutting and wetting her hair over and over again.. when she cut her bangs they were uneven with it being longer on the right side, I could see one eyebrow and not the other I asked her to fix it and her bangs ended up halfway up her forehead with the middle being shorter and going in. I asked her to leave them alone so she sprayed it more and left it wet. She told me she was done and I asked her to please dry her bangs and her hair. She grabbed the blow dryer didn't use a brush and just waved it around leaving her hair like a big frizz ball. When I got home I straightened her hair and discovered her hair was extremely uneven. Very upset we got back in the car and drove back AGAIN.. even though we were there not even an hour before no one recognized us. When I told the girl at the front desk how horrible the cut was she looked at me and said "oh" and then just looked at me, when I saw she wasn't going to say anything else I tell her I was to get it fixed by someone else and I want my $21 back, I ask her who is really good and can do it and she goes " oh I don't know I guess they both probably can do it" I asked to speak to the manager so they called her on the phone, at first she seemed kind of bothered then she went on saying how surprised she was because Jeanie had been there so long and this must have just been a bad cut. Really?? She said I want to make sure it's fixable , of course it is by having to cut her hair to her to her shoulders, by the way when I brought her in her hair was halfway down her back. No one addressed the refund issue and the manager asked to speak to the girl at the front desk and then no one said anything to me I just stood there, finally after 10 min I asked what the outcome was she said one of the stylists will fix it. Again it was busy and there was another stylist walking out. I waited 40 min to get seen. The only good part of the trip was Mandy she was so gracious and understood my frustration she immediately saw what I was talking about and kept apologizing for having to cut it so short when I emphasized I didn't want her to lose length. She might be the only one there with a personality, customer service, and cutting skills. She did get the back even (by cutting to her shoulders) but the bangs we have to let grow out. read more

This place is bright, kid-friendly, clean and has fast service. All employees went out of their way to make me and my daughter comfortable. Lots of hand-made barrettes and headbands. Car and airplane seats are squeaky clean and super fun. My 6 month old sat happily in her airplane and would have been happy there all day. I would recommend this place. 4.5 stars- half star off bc a little pricey for 5 min baby trim, But I will return. read more

I recently bought my 4 year old daughter to Pigtails & Crewcuts for her very first haircut. She loved it from the minute we walked in. She knew we were there for a haircut, but she also (very nicely) requested a manicure. We were quickly attended to. A very friendly lady gave my daughter her manicure. This lady was very friendly and happily chatted with my daughter throughout the manicure. We then waited a few minutes for her haircut as the one stylist on the floor finished up a little boy's haircut. She then attended to my daughter. The stylist was quick and made the whole process quick and painless for my daughter. My daughter looked great and more importantly, was very happy with the experience. read more

We woke up Saturday morning and saw that little man's bangs were almost over his eyes, and after having a bad first haircut experience (at a regular barbershop with a firetruck seat on the side), we searched for a new place to bring our 17-month-old. I read reviews that spoke wonders of Jenn so we booked an appointment online (via Facebook) with her for that afternoon. I'm so thankful we did! We got there a couple of minutes late but didn't have to wait, which was surprising because it was definitely busy. She could tell he was young and unsure of what was going on, so she took time to play with our son and let him warm up to her. She showed him a few toys and after a few minutes, he was smiling right back at her. She didn't rush him to get into the seat either, and she started cutting slowly (no buzzers, just scissors). She helped him stay calm and collected the whole time -- so much so that he didn't want to leave when it was over! She even pointed out some possible eczema that had been hidden under his long hair in the back. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much! read more

My 4 yr old twin boys have been coming here for almost 2 yrs. They LOVE it here so much it's hard to get them to leave. They have a Thomas the train track set to kill the time waiting. Kid movies are played on TVs located at each station and the kids love that they have their pick to sit in a fire truck, police car, plane & forget what other vehicle. The stylists are all great with the kids. It's very clean. Highly recommend this place. read more

I cannot express how fantastic this place is! I have three very shy girls and when they come to new places its hard for them to warm up. The stylist was so friendly and sweet that my children immediately warmed up and were so excited! Unfortunately I dont think I'll be returning. We've been going here for 2 years since my son's 1st haircut. Since the new owners took over our favorite stylist is gone and now I can't even make an appointment online. I have to check in when I'm ready. What is that? What if I check in and it's an hour wait? I have 2 small kids (as I'm sure many others do), an hour wait can mean we're now in the middle of naptime. I can't do it. It's a shame. I came here with my 20 month old for his first haircut. He's half Latino half Aftican American and has textured, curly hair. As soon as we walked in it felt like they were uncomfortable with his hair texture, but when I asked if they could cut textured, 'black" hair, they said they could but the wait was twenty minutes. I waited for I et half an hour and when the stylist approached us she immediately said she could only cut his hair with the clippers. Since I know clippers can change the texture of hair, I declined and said I preferred for her to cut it with scissors. She just looked at me and said 'how am I supposed to do that!?'. I tried tostay alm and said just comb it and cut it like you do 'white' hair (ignoramus)!! She kept saying shed rather do it with clippers, 'it's easier', I can't use scissors, it will be 'faster'. All her reasons had to do with ease for her, not my wishes. I ended up very frustrated and walked out. Went home and combed out my sons hair and cut it myself. This place sucks if your not white. read more

While everyone is very nice, I specifically said please don't layer my son's hair. Just trim the sides, front and back. She layered it and will now take another 3 months to grow out. We won't be going back. read more

I was very unhappy with my experience at this salon. We had to wait 20 min past our apt time to get started and no one even apologized for making us wait. The stylist didn't seem exceptionally experienced. My daughter was getting a ballerina bun for her recital and I honestly did a better job myself when I did it for her at home and much faster too. The stylist took a very long time (45 min) and it came out just ok- not what you would expect at a professional salon. The salon itself was pretty dirty. Hair everywhere with no one attempting to clean it. I would never go back and would not recommend it. read more

They made us wait about 45 minutes since there were others before us, then i went up to the lady in the front desk and asked about our turn, she said there are two more kids before us. So we again patiently waited for sometime, then after 2 kids were done with their hair cut, another female told there are two more, it takes close to 30 minutes for 1 kid to have his hair done. I lost temper at this point after waiting for almost 1 hour. Then I left the place and came back to home. Please do not got to this place, Worst experience ever. Also, when I was there waiting for my babies turn, saw that their buzzer was not working and they ended up using scissors and comb for the kids. I've been coming to this place on and off ever since we got my daughter's first hair cut. Everybody in the salon greet you and make you feel welcomed as much as possible. This place delivers a great hair cut and a happy smiling little customer. I've had Sharon and Filomena cut my daughter's hair and their hair styling/cut and friendly demeanor ( especially checking if the little customer is comfortable ) makes sure that you come again the next time too. As far as their cuts, they are very quick and detailed.They have a customized viewing experience for each chair so the little customers can watch their favorite Disney/Pixar/paw patrol or whatever other flick you've grown painfully numb to having seen it over 1000 times. Their chairs are also little automobiles ( jet/helicopter/airplane/cop car/super cars)for the little customers to sit in to be distracted and entertained while clippers and sheers move around their little heads. They have complimentary lollipops/animal crackers/ treasure chest toys at the end and have an outstanding play area to hang out in or before/ after the hair cut. Unfortunately, she was on her own, seriously understaffed, and was bombarded with customers and calls, but unable to help everyone because she was doing my granddaughter's hair, juggling multiple calls, etc. The store is lovely, but the owner/management really need to help the staff and customers by providing more staff who are there in the store. read more
