My friends told me about the festivities for the Re-Grand Opening at the Cravings by 99 Ranch food hall, so I had to check it out for myself. While waiting for our food orders from other spots, my friends and I hung out at the Piju Social Hour bar. As the re-grand opening special, they had a buy 1 get one for 5 cents deal, but their regular prices are already a great deal. My friends had the Hotter Than the Dickens ($13) and Kirin ($7.99) for both rounds. I started off with a Lychee For Me ($12) and then a Sangria ($?). We all enjoyed our drinks. If I had to give feedback to the business I would like the lychee for me to have some fresh fruit lychee as a garnish, and some diced apples in the sangria for a fruity bite. We also got a glass with 2 transaction as a part of the re-grand opening special. It was a nice surprise! Amazing location. Great place to grab a drink while hanging out at the food hall or waiting for your other food orders. They also have a TV and very friendly staff to keep you company. They even gave these complimentary spicy peanuts and spicy lobster chips. It was just too spicy for me. Will definitely be back to Piju Social Hour the next time I visit the Chino Hills Cravings by 99 Ranch food hall! Cheers!! read more

I was hoping for a beer with my Thai Lunch, and this bar in the 99 Ranch Market food court looked like the place. According to the hours posted, it was supposed to be open, but no one ever showed up to serve beers. Alas, i never had a beer. Ambiance is industrial casual. read more

This place is such a good casual date spot. Ordering food from all the vendors around and eating it to pair with your drink is encouraged. They even have a table menu with other vendor's QR code to their online menu. They were giving a free Piju glass with every 2nd transaction. There aren't any signs around and employee didn't notify me either when I made my second purchase of beer. They brought it out with my second beer and said "here's a free glass for every 2nd transition." Their specials seem to be changing quite frequently. It's posted behind the cashier on the wall under the Piju sign on a mini chalk board. I haven't tried any of their cocktails, but will be definitely coming back to enjoy a nice weekend lunch. First of all piju is located inside Cravings food market! It's a bar with craft beers and few cocktail mixed drinks options along with a good selection of restaurants! While enjoying my chicken from big bad chicken and hainan chicken rice (that's right I double chickened!), I decided to give this place a try. Their passion fruit margarita was tasty and it was a big glass. Very refreshing to go with the food. I got to talk to the bar tender Jacqueline, and she was great! She let me know how this place opened before pandemic and it just wasn't the same after and was actually forced to shut down for some time due to covid restrictions. If you see Jacqueline at work tell her the Taiwanese helper sent you there! They are having a regrand opening event this weekend 2/25-26/2023 with sweet deals so I highly recommend coming out! I think it's buy 1 get second drink for 5 cents?? And you can use the receipt from piju to get 10% off entire order at Hainan chicken rice! I love the concept but the hours are 12-730pm at the moment so it's a bit limiting until the weekend. Jacqueline mentioned until restaurants here open till late, it's hard to justify them opening late as well. Lastly, it's hard finding workers who are qualified to serve food AND alcohol! Came for drinks on the way to a show. Pretty solid place. Bought one and got one for a penny. Drinks were pretty solid for the price.it's a nice place to have drinks in the middle of the food hall. I would recommend this place if you are eating. On the table there is a menu with some discount for places to eat. Overall would come back for the drinks. Piju Social Hour is a great spot located inside Cravings (by 99 Ranch) to enjoy a few beers, while your significant other or family member shops for groceries. If every grocery store had a small bar, I would certainly volunteer to accompany my wife more often. Piju has a small selection of draft beers, sake, and wine. On one occasion, Piju even had a popular IPA on special for $3.50, which is a great price. Occasionally, we also order food from one of the many interior restaurants, which is also convenient. They have two large TVs with sports and news. Shopping carts are not allowed inside the Piju area, but there is plenty of cart parking right outside the rail that separates it from the grocery portion of Cravings. The other thing I like about Piju is they have a TouchTunes machine that has thousands of sounds. I have yet to find a song that management has blocked from being played. This is an issue at other places that have TouchTunes machines. From time to time, it's entertaining to select unique songs and watch people's reactions. It's a good thing that Cravings by 99 has a little bar area. They have a buy one and get the second drink for 5 cents deal going on right now. My friends and I decided to order 3 Lychee cocktails and 1 Mai Tai cocktail. They had a few other cocktails on their menu, but the bartenders only had those two available. We ended up receiving the wrong order - and got 2 Lychees and 2 Mai Tais instead. My friend was too lazy to exchange her order to the right now, so she just stuck with the Mai Tai. The Lychee cocktail was pretty good, but the Mai Tai was okay. There are also beers, sangrias, sojus, and other drinks available. A nice little gem in the new Cravings marketplace and food court, with a good selection of local and import beers in bottles and on draft. I got their special Yukari Asahi for only $5- what a deal! It was a pint glass of pink-colored Asahi beer on draft, and it was very refreshing, light and crisp. Definitely worth every dollar spent! The only slight downside is that I wished they had more local craft brews on tap, but that is strictly a preference of mine that does not take away from the fact that there's even a bar in a Chinese marketplace! Who in the world chills red wine?? Who?! Piju does, apparently. Their merlot, which was originally like $8+ but was $3 on this particular night, was served out of a tap. And for some odd reason, it was chilled. I was so taken aback that I didn't know what to say for a moment. I just had to take a second to ask myself who, what, when, where, and (most importantly) why?! I've never been to a restaurant that chills red wine. That is "wine 101". Even your grungiest dive bar knows better than to chill red wine. Luckily it was only $3. If I'd paid $8 for a chilled glass of red wine, I would've been very disappointed. But the bartender was really nice. He saved the experience for me, and he's the reason I give 3 stars. read more

While my bf and I waited for our friends to grab some lunch, we decided to hangout here until the crazy lines died down. We ordered a Kirin pitcher $20 (fills 5 glasses), and they have this Nigori Matcha sake that I think is so brilliant (and it's only $5!)!! We arrived on the grand opening day, so it was a little hectic. But we were able to get a table for 6 of us. Service was great! They came by and asked how we were doing a few times. I have never drank at a 99 ranch before lol, but Piju Social Hour made that happen and I thank you. Piju Social Hour can be easily found by walking straight from the Cravings entrance, on your right, past Shomi noods. You are welcomed by a "No persons under 21 allowed" sign, knowing in you're in for a good time haha. There are several sitting options (table, counter heigh/pub tables, and bar seating) with three nearby flatscreen tv's, usually playing different sport games. When my friends and I visited (4/27/19) we were surprised by the variety of alcoholic drinks offered (beers, soju, wine), especially by the beers that were on tap- shout out to San Miguel and Red Horse haha. They also offer pitchers and beer towers, but we didn't get them because we weren't planning to get turnt at a food hall of a grocery store. But once we found out the soju was only $4/bottle, that changed haha. We were just astounded by the affordable cost! I'd like to add that the woman running the bar that afternoon provided us quality service! The selection of beers and sake are great. Not so much the customer service. The girl that serviced us sucked. She was rude and not willing to help. She had a moody face and seemed to hate her job. Big surprise here! Loved the variety of beer on tap, wine and saki. I've been twice now and tried something new each time. The bartender who served us was very friendly and knowledgeable, he suggested a strawberry saki that was fantastic only $12 for the whole bottle, and trust me you may need an uber if you drink that whole bottle. They had the games on the two large tv's. I suggest getting some food from one of the vendors, then head over here to eat, drink and watch a game.
