Piju social hour inside Cravings food market and in the center with 3 TVs and great seating
    Tsung S.

First of all piju is located inside Cravings food market! It's a bar with craft beers and few cocktail mixed drinks options along with a good selection of restaurants! While enjoying my chicken from big bad chicken and hainan chicken rice (that's right I double chickened!), I decided to give this place a try. Their passion fruit margarita was tasty and it was a big glass. Very refreshing to go with the food. I got to talk to the bar tender Jacqueline, and she was great! She let me know how this place opened before pandemic and it just wasn't the same after and was actually forced to shut down for some time due to covid restrictions. If you see Jacqueline at work tell her the Taiwanese helper sent you there! They are having a regrand opening event this weekend 2/25-26/2023 with sweet deals so I highly recommend coming out! I think it's buy 1 get second drink for 5 cents?? And you can use the receipt from piju to get 10% off entire order at Hainan chicken rice! I love the concept but the hours are 12-730pm at the moment so it's a bit limiting until the weekend. Jacqueline mentioned until restaurants here open till late, it's hard to justify them opening late as well. Lastly, it's hard finding workers who are qualified to serve food AND alcohol! New California work law. Please support them and be kind while everyone struggles to find quality workers!

Came for drinks on the way to a show. Pretty solid place. Bought one and got one for a penny. Drinks were pretty solid for the price.it's a nice place to have drinks in the middle of the food hall. I would recommend this place if you are eating. On the table there is a menu with some discount for places to eat. Overall would come back for the drinks. They were just the perfect amount of sweetness and alcohol.

Piju Social Hour is a great spot located inside Cravings (by 99 Ranch) to enjoy a few beers, while your significant other or family member shops for groceries. If every grocery store had a small bar, I would certainly volunteer to accompany my wife more often. Piju has a small selection of draft beers, sake, and wine. On one occasion, Piju even had a popular IPA on special for $3.50, which is a great price. Occasionally, we also order food from one of the many interior restaurants, which is also convenient. They have two large TVs with sports and news. Shopping carts are not allowed inside the Piju area, but there is plenty of cart parking right outside the rail that separates it from the grocery portion of Cravings. The other thing I like about Piju is they have a TouchTunes machine that has thousands of sounds. I have yet to find a song that management has blocked from being played. This is an issue at other places that have TouchTunes machines. From time to time, it's entertaining to select unique songs and watch people's reactions. Regarding the service, it has always been good. When it's time to grocery shop at Cravings, you can find me at Piju!

    But 1 Get 2nd for 5 Cents

It's a good thing that Cravings by 99 has a little bar area. They have a buy one and get the second drink for 5 cents deal going on right now. My friends and I decided to order 3 Lychee cocktails and 1 Mai Tai cocktail. They had a few other cocktails on their menu, but the bartenders only had those two available. We ended up receiving the wrong order - and got 2 Lychees and 2 Mai Tais instead. My friend was too lazy to exchange her order to the right now, so she just stuck with the Mai Tai. The Lychee cocktail was pretty good, but the Mai Tai was okay. There are also beers, sangrias, sojus, and other drinks available. It isn't a full bar, so there is a limited drink selection.

Great Asian Plaza, Wonderful Service. DELICIOUS Beer. I'll be back forsure. On Saturdays right now buy one beer and get one for a dollar. Jacquelin is a wonderful bartender, she is a Joy to talk with. Check it out!

    Yukari Asahi- pink beer!

A nice little gem in the new Cravings marketplace and food court, with a good selection of local and import beers in bottles and on draft. I got their special Yukari Asahi for only $5- what a deal! It was a pint glass of pink-colored Asahi beer on draft, and it was very refreshing, light and crisp. Definitely worth every dollar spent! The only slight downside is that I wished they had more local craft brews on tap, but that is strictly a preference of mine that does not take away from the fact that there's even a bar in a Chinese marketplace! They also have some good pitcher deals for some of the beers, so if you're with friends of legal drinking age, there's bound to be plenty of good bubbly to go around!

Mimosa Drink (and my food from the wingman chicken place behind it)
    Ashley J.

Had a mimosa here for $6 (6.50 ish if counting tax). Good place to get your food and sit down for a drink in the middle of cravings. Honestly a little pricey for not a full glass (it was more half or 2/3s) I would've liked but overall it was fine.

Smack dab in the middle of Cravings, this is like a little playground for adults. Fairly good selection of beers. There are about 5 taps of beer as well as bottle selections. On tap included varieties of Ballast Point Sculpin, 805, Red Trolley and a couple others. Nice little spot to break away from everything.

The strawberry margarita is kinda pale.

The strawberry margarita is a little pale. On the other hand the beers cheap during happy hour. ‍

I didn't have any issues but depending if there's a good game, it could be busy. Seating: Inside seating, probably about 50 cars great for groups and there's some good bar seating too. Vibes: Chino Hills is pretty suburban, the malls are the more eventful places but this is a pretty good gathering in the outer areas of Chino Hills. Relatively spacious large tv screens. Good place to catch a game or hang out with friends. FOOD: Irish Nacho Platter (Recommend) Fries richly entrenched with cheese, pico del gallo, and sour cream. A good crunch, pleasant spice, and savory flavors. Chicken Wings - Lemon Pepper & Mild (Recommend) Chicken wings were delightful. The mild had a subtle kick to it but the lemon pepper was amazing. I usually size it to Wingstop and this passed the test. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Awesome! The team was short-staffed but they were professional and did their best. TL; DR OVERALL: 4 Stars. Comforting menu, reasonable prices, and a good experience. This is a solid brewery from their food to their drink selections. If you're looking for a place to enjoy a brew and catch up with a friend, this is a good spot. TIPS: * Great place for catching games!

The prior Irish pub used to have some music and dancing I can't remember maybe on Thursdays or something and it was pretty popular so why they made the change I don't know but now it's permanently closed. Let's get something in here that's well liked and tolerated by everybody that can last a few years instead of every other year there's something new struggling to make it go. Their street tacos and food platters weren't bad and the beer was always cold, it was a quiet place to hide out but I guess that was its downfall sometimes you could be the only one in there or two or three other people and that won't pay the bills in a location that's known for high rent.

When I arrived, I didn't have to wait, and was seated right away. I ordered the Whiskey Pepper/Korean Garlic wings and the Lobster Garlic Noodles to-go. The Noodles should have been cooked with oil, because I was picking up chunks of stuck together Noodles. Not a lot of chunks, but more that should have been in there, and it was lacking Garlic flavor. We thought screw this let's just go sit at the bar. We sat at the bar and theres like 7 bartenders and like 3 standing right in front of you and none of them greet you say hi or what can I get you? You literally have to make a lot of noise just to be acknowledged. Also it was not even busy there were open seats all around the bar. Finally after about 15 minutes we got one bartender to take our order. I'm not sure if he was new or just didn't want to be there either way lousy attitude coming from him. We order our drinks and dinner. Then he comes back and says the drinks we wanted are out of stock. Like WHAT? No sorry for making you wait that long just to tell you another 20minutes later we don't have the drinks you ordered 35 minutes ago? We finally found drinks that were "in stock" and they came about another 10 minutes later after all that. We then for our next round of drinks ordered some really expensive TOP TOP Shelf drinks from him and then he goes to the complete opposite end to take a couples order and their order seemed complicated because he kept asking a manager to help him order it. We then asked him nicely 4 times about our drinks and then he said oh no worries it's coming. Another 20 minutes goes by and still no drinks. We then get up and close with another bartender and just walk out. What pissed me off the most was theres like 3 bartenders right in front of you not doing anything at all and then another 4 bartenders behind them really not doing anything at all just chatting and making jokes with each other. Why couldn't 1 of the 7 bartenders take our order and make our drinks properly? The 4 bartenders just hanging out and not working shouldn't even have come to work that day considering they weren't working at all.

We get wristbands and assigned a table. We were told to wait in another line but we were let in shortly after. We bypass the 80's bar and go to a back room to make it feel like a "speakeasy." They gave us some ground rules and led us to our tables. At the table you have a QR code where you can place drink orders. The bar brings out your drinks to the table. Service was fairly quick and friendly. The drinks were all sweet cocktails and in the "Matterhorn Lodge" theme. There is a 2 drink minimum purchase (per guest) and each drink is $20+ so it can add up. I'm more of a beer person but some of the drinks were delicious. There was one that tasted like Christmas morning (cinnamon, clove, milky) and another drink that had popping boba that was also fun. If you're a butterfinger or peanut butter fan, there was one drink that tasted like it (you'll see it on the drink menu). I wouldn't say the drinks were strong. They do a good job of enforcing the theme. They had a "Yeti" come out and interact with the tables. Good for photo ops. They also had a magician doing a few tricks, and I enjoyed that the most. The place was kept fairly chilly! Even the bathrooms had jokes and signage on the walls that alluded to the alps. Overall a great time. Small venue but pretty chill. Can be pricey. Take a sweater. Good for dates and small groups.

Finding the hidden entrance is always fun, and stepping away from the neon-heavy arcade energy outside and straight into a moody, southern bayou atmosphere was honestly a really cool touch. The low lighting, dim decor, and secluded vibe set high expectations for the rest of the night. Unfortunately, the bar program didn't quite keep up with the ambiance. When you walk into a dedicated speakeasy, you expect carefully crafted, balanced drinks with some depth and fresh ingredients. Instead, the cocktails felt a little rushed, overly sweet, and missing the refined craft you look for in a place like this. For the price tag on the menu, the execution just fell flat. The staff was friendly enough and the novelty factor is definitely there, but the drinks missed the mark. I'm glad I checked it out to see what the buzz was about, but since the cocktail quality didn't match the cool environment, I don't see myself heading back anytime soon. Solid three stars for the aesthetic alone.
