Love this arcade spot! It's full of classic arcade games and pinball machines! And it's for adults! So get ready for some quarter arcades and beers along with good times. They have a great selection of beers. Even some locally brewed, on tap. They also offer wine and some seltzers for those not in the beer game. They have security who was respectful and nice, and the bartenders are cool and help you get a drink quick. A little place with so much personality. Paradox is a staple in downtown Pomona, especially among college students in the area. It's a great place to take a group, grab a drink, and play some really cool vintage games. I always love a good margarita, so I opted for their Marge-erita. I drove that night, so I was happy to hear that they offered any of their drinks non-alcoholic! It tasted great, and the names/colors only made it more fun. There are lots of vintage games such as Pac-Man, Street Fighter, Asteroids, etc., and many people are big fans of the pinball machines. Great low-light ambiance and plenty of things to keep you busy. If you're in Pomona for a night out, this is the place to go. The surrounding area has lots of other bars, clubs, and restaurants laid out for you to explore. Everything is in walking distance. A staple in Downtown Pomona, Paradox is such an awesome place to kick it, meet with friends and have drinks play games. Stepping in makes you feel like you are in another place, ambience is retro and full of awesome stuff. They have karaoke on Thursdays, guitar hero too. And they started to do more tournaments! It's quaint, it's fun and it has beer on tap. What more can you want. A cool and small little spot in Downtown Pomona where both nostalgia and alcohol come together. The service is never an issue and the ambiance is dark with flashing lights. With a variety of beers in tap you can't go wrong. I'll be revisiting and post pics next visit. read more

It's a barcade and gives a similar vibe to eightytwo in LA. Space is a bit too small and can get pretty packed depending on how busy the night is. But overall a lot of fun! They have classic pinball machines, the Simpson game, multiplayer Pac-Man, and a bunch of other throwbacks. I had one of the sours that was on tap, pretty delicious. The paradox arcade bar is just that! It's a fun place where you can hang out with friends, drink some brews, and play some retro arcade games. Most games work, but there were a few that were out of service. The area is okay, can be a little sketchy as it's in the downtown Pomona area, but overall not too bad. Parking is awful lol I will say that. I'd def come back. Cute little barcade. There are plenty of parking spots out front. The machines were all in working order. My only complaint would be this place is a little bit on the small side so you can play all the games pretty quickly. I don't think you could spend an entire evening here, but it could definitely be a nice stop on an itinerary with something else. read more

I've been coming here for years and usually it's always a great time but not this last time. I came here Saturday night with my girlfriend and the security at the door that night (some black man never seen him there before) was very disrespectful towards her. He tried flirting with her while he checked her ID but she completely ignored him which must've hurt his fragile lil ego because he threatened to not let her in. Well it threw us off so much so that we could not enjoy the rest of our time there so we decided to leave ASAP. As we were leaving we heard him creeping on a group of women so this is not a one time occurance. I suggest the bar does something about this creep who keeps sexually harassing their customers. Vibrant barcade with a diverse set of fighting, action, and pinball games for only a quarter a play! Each game has a mobile coaster to keep your drink out of the way. If you want to hang out and watch an 80's movie on the projector, there's a little bit of seating by the bar where you can have a beer, cocktail, or even sake. Unfortunately, they don't have a kitchen or snacks so you'll have to fill your belly elsewhere. The staff is really chill and checks up on you frequently if you're hanging out at the bar. You'll also have to see them if you want to play on the mini console games at the corner of the bar which has PS1, Super Nintendo and NES (free to play, of course). I wish there was more seating to watch the movie while hanging out, but I think this place is new and still growing. This is one of the nicer barcades I've seen! read more

I love the place. Small venue but the design of the area is really cool. All video game theme like. Did not try any food, but if they do serve some, I would not mind checking them out. I'm a pretty big fan of arcade bars, so this is a pretty cool location located in the middle of downtown Pomona. Free parking around the area is usually around 2 hours (unless you park in a paid lot), so be careful as the city will actually check & ticket you if you are over the time limits. In terms of beers on tap, there's a pretty large selection, ranging from sours to blondes, to stouts. If you like drinking beer, there will be something for you here. Sizes come in 10oz or pints & range between $7-9. For the games, there's a decent selection as well. You've got your physical board & party games like Sorry, Jenga, Connect4. Although the main arcade games are what you'll be mainly coming here for (shooters, side-scrollers, fighting games, etc.). Almost all of the games only cost a quarter to play too. All in all, if your're planning on barhopping in DT Pomona, or just got out of a show at Fox Theater & decided you weren't done partying yet, this is a location to stop by, friends or otherwise. read more

Also the stools by the window could not be worse for people with social anxiety. Very cramped. Pros: arcade game galore. They even had a Mario game which was so retro.
