If you're looking for delicious, authentic Latin food, El Típico on Canal Street in Nashua is…read moredefinitely worth trying! This is a small restaurant with a huge variety of choices. It's not a self-serve buffet but you simply tell them what you'd like, and they prepare your plate. My go-to is the rice and beans with pulled pork, marinated chicken, and sweet plantains, and everything is always perfectly seasoned and tastes fresh. They also offer seafood, vegetables, empanadas, roasted chicken, desserts, and plenty of other options. The portions are very generous, especially for the price, making this a great affordable meal. The staff is always friendly and the service is fast. The only downside is that parking can be limited. However, there is additional parking available in the Margaritas restaurant adjoining parking lot, which makes it easier. Overall, great food, generous portions, affordable prices, fresh ingredients, and friendly service. A little hidden gem in Nashua that I highly recommend!!!

I have no problem with the fact that the floors were filthy, the TV was blasting, the tables were dirty, the garbage was overflowing, and the service was cold. It was the fact that the food was terrible. The keyword is "dry". So much so that it was all really inedible. Yes, the food was dirt cheap. But you get what you pay for. I'm sorry Dominicanas, if this is typical then I feel bad for you. Maybe I was supposed to go to Pollo Tipico? I'll have to ask my friends.

I don't leave Yelp reviews often because honestly most places are somewhere between "pretty good"…read moreand "fine." But I had to break the silence for this one. I've been searching for legitimately good Mexican food around Boston for YEARS. Having family in Mexico ruined me in the best way possible because now my standards are absurdly high. Most places get a polite "yeah it was decent." Not this place. Holy $hit...Mestiza absolutely blew my mind. The birria tacos were the best I've ever had. Ever. Not "best in Boston." Not "best lately." I mean if these tacos and I got married tomorrow my wife would probably understand. The steak tacos? Unreal. The al pastor? Illegal levels of good. Everything tasted like the kitchen was personally trying to change my life. And the staff was awesome too. Super friendly, welcoming, and somehow patient while I sat there contemplating ordering a second full meal immediately after finishing the first one. This is the first restaurant in years where I walked out thinking, "well...food will never be the same again." Do not overthink this. Stop reading reviews. Just go now before I buy the place and keep it for myself.

I was immediately greeted by Luisa & her husband, Chef Mario. Looking over the menu, I wanted to order everything but had to narrow it down. I started with the revuelta & birria pupusas, which are made fresh every day--you should have seen the cheese pull! Next, I had the chicken taco on a freshly pressed handmade tortilla. The star of the show was the best enchiladas I've ever had. The tortillas were incredibly fresh, stuffed with slow-braised beef ribs. There was a hint of sweetness that made me fall in love, especially when paired with their homemade hot sauce. I finished with the tastiest tres leches cake. I wish Luisa & Chef Mario all the success in the world. If you're in Lowell, please stop in & support them you won't be disappointed. They don't serve alcohol, but it's BYOB!

He's a big fan of Chipotle (I am NOT), but he said his diced angus steak burrito blows theirs out of the water. This was after the first bite and he reaffirmed that after he wolfed it down. My Bistec Encebollado (Steak & Onions) was so tender and seasoned just right. The portion was big for the price and I couldn't finish it. My son wolfed that down too, robbing me of the joy of leftovers for lunch today. He ate his too fast for me to get a photo but here's the Bistec Encebollado. I have a dairy allergy, so it looks kinda boring but there were plenty of options I chose to skip. The beef didn't need it! It's a small place but online ordering was super easy and it was ready in 20 min as advertised. There are only a handful of tables but they're really cool wood creations and there's a great vibe. The staff was very friendly as I watched them deal with some pretty indecisive people in front of me. I got so distracted looking around that I forgot to grab the drinks I ordered but we will definitely be back!
