They try and refill you for fees from back in 2023 and 2024 that have already been paid for. Don't use the pikepass if u don't need too

Four years later and I'm back on the Turner Turnpike, and while things have improved, they haven't…read moreimproved much. They still don't have compatibility with the NC Quick Pass and back in May of 2024, they removed the human toll takers. No more cash and they now bill by plate which ends up being twice as much as if you had a transponder. A month after my trip, the bill for $10.50 arrived. It would have been $5.40 with a PIKEPASS. I'm not sure if they'll still extort out of state residents the same if when they eventually add compatibility with the North Carolina system. $10.50 for 86 miles works out at 12 cents per mile. Ad yes, that's a lot but middle of the road (pun intended). Asking the internet for comparisons... the Kansas Turnpike is generally 6 to 9 cents per mile. Ohio is 6 to 9. Indiana's stretch of I-90 is 10 to 12 cents per mile. The Illinois Tollway is 15 to 30 cents per mile but Illinois shouldn't be the example - those folks are "scorched earth." The most expensive are the crazies at the Pennsylvania Turnpike who run at 25 to 35 cents per mile. Would I drive it again? Yes. Will I moan about how much it costs? Also yes. Un-GD real. I ordered a new pike pass and they sent installation instructions for a portable…read moretransponder that they haven't supplied or offered in probably 15 years. WTAF? Everyone that works for the OTA should have their ass fired, yesterday. There is no way they are this incompetent. They have to be trolling us. F'in imbeciles. All of them. It's embarrassing.

Was an absolute breeze to early vote here for 2022 election. I went on a Thursday after work,…read moreprobably showed up around 5:20pm. First, I ended up at the back entrance where a super friendly guy was stationed to tell me to turn around because this was reserved as the exit for drive thru voting. Was stressful going down Lincoln to get in the correct way with cars flying past me who were not trying to vote! But I made it never the less, and was able to park easily, wait in zero line to get in, and painlessly did the thing! It was well staffed, and everyone was so friendly and helpful. How could voting be a positive enjoyable experience?!? I don't know, but it was here! Relieved my stress about waiting for hours on election day. Highly recommend Also, mailed my voter registration here after moving to Oklahoma county in June, and it took a while to get my card back to me, but it did eventually get to me! I had debated handing it in in person, but luckily it all went fine through the mail.

Of course everyone was aware of COVID-19 measures to keep safe but all parties were polite, patient and standing at safe distances. It was cold and windy but so worth it. I think about all those that couldn't vote, as if they didn't matter or deserve a voice. I proudly and prayerfully casted my vote today. I literally had to park in a different location and walk to the voting location because the traffic was horrible. Honestly most of the cars in the long line had handicapped plats and blocked others from entering parking lot. I waited patiently to park but it was impossible... in the future they need a better system for people voting from their car. Overall I was pleased at the process. I am hopeful for a change but even if it remains the same. I will survive, my faith, family and friends will sustain me. Go vote!! Attempt to make a difference, it matters, you matter!!
