When we walked in every single employee was doing their job and I was in and out in six minutes. Way too often you go to a tag agency and they have all these employees and only one person is waiting on customers. Not this place. Every single person was working and getting people in and out. He either really hates his job, or he was picked on in school. The inefficiency is almost indescribable, but I'll give it a go. We got there at 7:00 AM this morning. There was already a sign on the (down) kiosk that said there would be a 6-hour wait. I found that hard to believe. I mean, I've sat in the DPS waiting room before, but am normally out in a couple of hours. Nope, these guys were almost spot on. 5 1/2 hours later, we got called and taken care of. Out of 5 windows, there were only 2-3 being worked (mostly 2). The "bossy/sarcastic guy" even laughed when someone joked about the long wait. He said that it didn't bother him at all, but couldn't say the same for everyone having to wait. I was able to use this experience to teach my oldest son about how freaking incompetent and inefficient government-run entities are. They have a monopoly on licensing, can treat people like crap if they choose, and can take their own sweet time. If you've been there all day, and it gets to be their closing time, they're happy to tell you that you can come back the following morning and try again. The only way around this is to pay them to reserve an appointment, which is 3-4 weeks out at the earliest. Let me get this straight.....you have to PAY them, on top of what you already pay them with your tax dollars, to reserve a spot. How about hiring more people? How about reviewing the existing processes (clearly broken)? While these complaints tend to be the norm for most DPS/DMV offices, add in the "Edmond attitude" (everyone outside of Edmond knows what I'm talking about) to this place, and you've got the perfect combination for a miserable day. It felt more like being a guest at someone's house, than at a tag agency. The lady who helped me was very polite and friendly. She even recommended that I pay with check or cash to save 3%. I left to get a check and when I got back a half hour later, I was pleasantly surprised that she called me back to finish and skip the wait. Despite having to pay over $1000 for taxes and fees, I had a very pleasant experience here.

My son told me Oklahoma doesn't have DMV offices and you have to go to a Tag Agency. I have to say this was so much better than the horrible DMV offices in Nevada. You have to have an appointment like 3 months in advance if you can get one. Before the pandemic you could just walk-in , but you would be there for hours trying to get something done with all the California people moving there and some from other places. This was so much better of an experience ! Everyone was so nice as most of the people I've dealt with in Oklahoma. It reminds me of the small town I grew up in South Carolina in the 70's and 80's. I had to do 2 different lines. The first was a young lady who did my registration , plate , and sticker. She also informed me that I would have to get a new title to register in Oklahoma. I've never heard that before , but I guess they do that in some states. She also went out to my SUV to verify the VIN. Thankfully it's not lifted since she could barely get up to see it without getting on the tire , it is a Toyota FJ Cruiser 4x4 so it does sit higher than most standard SUVs. The 2nd line I showed all my documentation to this lady to verify I had everything to get my new Oklahoma Drivers License. She arranged everything neatly to give to the another lady when it was my turn and also reminded me to let her know that I had Motorcycle Endorsement also so it could be listed on my Oklahoma License. There were a few people ahead of me for the Drivers License so I did have to wait over an hour , but they had chairs and the lady would talk to me and the others waiting as she was helping someone else. I only had to wait behind one person for the registration and they had 3 people working that counter. The drivers license lady also added my Veterans Status and Real ID on my license since I brought in my Passport . I'm not complaining , as I said in Las Vegas it would take you usually 3 hours or more at the DMV before they started doing appointments and still it takes at least an hour to do your stuff. I highly recommend this location for your drivers license , registration , etc.

Called ahead to be certain we would have what was needed with us. The first impression was what this place COULDN'T do for you. Then the power tripping of the staff took over while they concocted a crisis regarding my "paperwork", threatened, humiliated, and were pretty much Nazis about the whole thing. What about, "good morning, how can I help you" followed by a smile or an actual helpful attitude rather than barely looking at someone when they are told to get in front of you, muttering, sighing, loudly and rudely and complaining about your job? And dump the smug, arrogant power hungry and tripping aura you emit. It stinks. Funny how government employees can be allowed to treat people like little corporate slaves. And benefit mightily I am certain. I will be looking to local businesses and new neighbors as the REAL welcome to Oklahoma that I expected. Certainly won't find it in any government agency no matter what state you live in.

She asked me for the metal tag, I told her I didn't get one. She said "Yes You Did" that is when I had to snap back at her. I had to remind her that I should be the one with an attitude, I have a big bill to pay. I did nothing wrong to her for her to have an attitude with me. Everyone that was coming in was speaking to the manager and having great conversation. When I came back, the manager is who checked me out, total different experience with her. This was after I waited in line for 20 minutes. I then went down the street and found another tag agency that said there were no issues. Happy I didn't listen and got the new car registered.
