So I haven't seen this much difference in my body from ONLY doing a workout 3x a week ever. I ran track all throughout high school and I've always had a bigger build muscle wise. Every workout after that Ive gotten the same results. At pilates plus I saw my body completely lean out but still have as much strength as I've always had which is a first for me. I love it. That being said Shannon is my favorite teacher at this Studio City location. I live in Woodland Hills and normally go to that location but if I'm available and see Shannon is teaching in Studio City I will definitely make that drive out there. She pushes you hard to achieve the results you want. Yes you're sweating the whole time and just have to laugh but her class is definitely when I'm most sore. I love love love this studio. I usually frequent the Woodland Hills location, but I have to say that the main reason that I come to this location is for Brittany. She is amazing. She can get you pumped up and ready for her workout. They get you shaking and burning. Honestly, if you're looking for a quick and effective ass kicking, go to Pilates Plus. I've taken a ton of classes here and Lisa G is by far the best instructor. I injured my lat and came to pilates per my doctor to regain my mental and physical strength. Lisa G was the only teacher who motivated my strength, but took care in my modifications until I was strong enough to keep up with the class. Her music isn't too loud or overbearing and her playlist has a variety of today's hits and oldies. Be a bad ass with a good ass and take a Lisa G class! read more

I live in Valley Village and absolutely love Pilates Plus. It is a beautiful and classy environment. The instructors give very thorough classes that target very specific muscles giving a full body workout. Regarding customer service, the owner was extremely helpful and efficient when helping me set up my online account and figuring out my purchased classes. Holy cow, they do not mess around here at Pilates Plus! I'd only ever done pilates at Wundabar (which I love) but I would never break in to a sweat. At PP, I was dripping at the end of every class. The classes are tough and I don't recommend coming here if you're not already in some shape or used to pilates. The classes go at a quick pace and they can almost be overwhelming. But the flip side of that is you will get results. I only ever took classes from Lacey and she rocked! Her peppy, positive attitude will keep you going and keep you from hating her for all the evil things she's doing to you. The space itself is nice enough but parking is a big pain, definitely budget time to look for parking since classes start right on time. Oh, and don't forget to bring socks; you can't do the class without them and they don't keep spare pairs to borrow. read more

I've been going to this studio for SPX for a few months now and am hooked! Never once have I taken a bad class or dealt with a snotty, intimidating instructor. The studio is very clean, parking is never an issue (back lot or street) and it's certainly not a pretentious atmosphere in the least bit. I personally love Beth, Jackie and Lacey. They each instruct and motivate in their own unique way while all providing a consistent, super challenging workout that leaves my body shaking (and ridiculously sore!) by the end of it all. it's official!!! i'm a pilates plus ADDICT! I've tried almost every workout - I've joined the gym, tried boot camp, tried spinning, yoga...you name it, and nothing has been as fun and addicting for me as Pilates Plus. I feel like every time I leave, I have gotten a great workout without having to torture myself. It's fun, the music and energy is great and the instructors are AWESOME. My favorites are Beth, Jennifer M. and Audrey. I go to both the Studio City and Encino location, but I definitely like the Studio City location better because their machines are more up to date and you get more of a challenge. But, the great thing about Encino is that they have treadmills, and a couple times a week they offer a cardio/pilates combo class. Honestly this is the best workout I've done. Pilates Plus Studio City is a fantastic location, but they have a new instructor named Ricky Godinez who is truly amazing. His blue punk hair- dye, high energy, Madonna and Michael Jackson blasting effervescence make working out a real breeze, despite the havoc you are wreaking on your muscles! He never settles for anything less than what your personal best is at that given moment, yet it doesn't feel like he's pushing you too far because he makes class so entertaining and fun. I recently moved to the area and wanted to find something to do to get back in shape that was close to where I live. I signed up for the $99 month unlimited deal for first time students. I've been going 3x/week and it's only been 3 weeks and my clothes are fitting looser. I ordered some skirts and tops online about a week ago and they came last night and they're too big on me! I have to return them and I'm going to wait to buy new clothes until another couple of months have gone by because my body is changing. I've had Beth and Lacey as instructors - both great. My schedule works best with when Beth is teaching and she is amazing, motivating and inspiring! I love that you have to sign up in advance for the classes because it makes me arrange my schedule to make it to class! There's an incentive to not miss class because they'll charge you $25 if you're a no show. I like that there is a maximum of 10 students in a class. One time I was very lucky in that I was the only person in a class, so I essentially got a private session with Beth which was the best experience I've had. I felt that session for 2 days in my abs and butt. This is the best workout I've ever done! I was really into yoga and actually did a 200 hour teacher certification. I've worked out with personal trainers but I've never had results as quickly as I've had with Pilates Plus. This workout targets specific muscles. While it may look like you're not doing much on the machine those muscles are burning! The workout challenges muscles I didn't know I had and it's really motivating coming to class and seeing that I'm getting stronger. I'm definitely going to continue! Just deciding whether to do the 3x week monthly package or up it to 4 or more times a week. In the beginning I couldn't manage more than 3x because I needed to recover but now that I'm stronger I could probably manage 4 or more classes/week. I recommend this studio to my friends! You'll love it! Just be patient in the beginning, you'll get stronger! read more

I typically do Mat Pilates, so this was an extreme change of pace for me. The machines are intense. I would've liked to take more classes, but it was a grab bag in terms of instructors. I had an instructor who, I felt, didn't give a s***, but I also had one that was really interested in working with me get things right in my body so I didn't hurt myself. The first instructor I mentioned also tended to talk down to us like "why don't you already know how to do this?". It's a hard class, and things will hurt, so it was nice to get the instructor who was more helpful. read more

The schedule is great and classes practically run every hour and I haven't had an instructor I don't like.
