I came here for the intro class, and once I arrived it really seems like they either drew a lot of inspiration from Club Pilates, or they maybe branched off from Club Pilates (I have no idea if either of these are true, but it had an EXTREMELY familiar feel). The instructor for our class was great! The intro class is again, very similar to the Club Pilates intro class where they basically just show you the basics of the reformer, although I will say this class was longer than the one at Club Pilates and felt closer an actual class. There is a pretty big (but busy) parking lot since it's in the same strip mall as Apna Bazar and Felipe's Market. I don't live close enough to this studio to justify signing up for a membership, but it seems nice if you're looking for a Club-Pilates style studio. read more

Pilates V was my introduction to reformer Pilates and it was great. I love how this studio has a parking lot right in front. It does get busy because there are other businesses there but I've never had trouble finding parking. Before you start your first class, they have you try a starter class to get introduced to the equipment and what Pilates is about so it's not too daunting on your first day. I've had the pleasure of taking Nicole's classes and she's an amazing instructor. I appreciate how she takes the time to learn everyone's name. Auto-Renewal: Every monthly class(4 or 8 classes) forces you into an auto-renewal subscription buried in checkout, with no clear one-time option. No Renewal Notice: They send emails for feedback but none before charging your card again. Difficult Cancellation: You can't cancel online. My email request was ignored, and I ultimately had to cancel in person. Wonderful instructors, but the studio ruins the experience with deceptive billing. If you buy a pass, assume it will auto-renew until you cancel through multiple channels. Rating: 5/5 for instructors, 0/5 for financial transparency and billing service. read more

I love Pilates V. I've been going 4-5x per week since August 2024 and I'm very happy with my workouts. The instructors are so kind and vary in style which is nice. You can take any instructor at any location, which is a huge bonus. Pilates V will also allow you to take two weeks off if you're going to travel so you don't have to waste your classes or pay for classes you can't attend. Their prices are well worth the value you get. Studios are clean and well maintained. Every instructor is certified. I can't recommend it enough! read more

I'm very glad I did the unlimited classes for the first month because I will not be coming back! I'm very happy with the instructors and equipment do not get me wrong. However, their policies are inconsistent. Pretty subpar instructors at this studio. I tried out their new client special and it was honestly a huge waste of money. It's hard to book any classes for the first couple weeks because the best instructors are all fully booked and you're limited to one class a day. So you waste about two weeks even though you're paying for a full month. Also the instructors will take any chance to charge you a no-show fee of $25, even when you actually show up to the class! Way to show that you don't care to remember your students' names and faces. I had to show Pilates V a Google maps timeline screenshot to prove that I actually attended the class. Even then, they refused to refund my card for the mistaken charge. What a trash studio. Avoid at all costs. read more

Have taken classes from this studio for a few years now. Started off with V1 and am now on V2. I have really enjoyed the V2 mixed-reformer classes and V2 Barre classes. My favorite instructors are Nicole and Stacey. Super easy to upgrade to class packages and book classes online. Some classes do fill up faster than others so try to book classes 2 weeks in advance (right when they are put on the calendar). I've only had one bad experience so far where an instructor was really rude to me for being 30 seconds late to the class. However, I emailed the front desk and got credit back for the class which I really appreciated it. read more

I purchased a groupon for 5 classes. I signed up via their site and went to a V0 class (free) to learn about the machine. Smooth sailing although they need to do a bit better with the system. Sometimes there are reminder emails and sometimes they don't. Since you have to sign up so far in advance it is hard to keep up with which classes you signed up for and which ones are waitlist. I didn't get a reminder and got charged. Overall, I do really enjoy the classes. The studio is always air conditioned and light music is played in the background. The instructors are all very soothing. I feel very relaxed but also feel like I am getting a good work out. I am still contemplating if I will purchase more classes. I don't like how inflexible it is in terms of signing up for classes. Like the other reviewers mentioned- the classes fill up fast (they are limited due to the number of reformers). read more

I really love the classes at Pilates Studio V! I have seen a difference in my body and energy level in five sessions over two months and I'm excited to continue my packages and go more often. I wish that there was more times in the middle of the day because of my work schedule and often classes fill up fast. However if you get on the waitlist, there's a good chance that you're later notified for an opening. I've seen that happen multiple times in my experience there. Jst took my first class, the intructor was 15 min late, soo annoying. But I got a credit for a free class and am told this only happens once a year or so. Got a call from I think his name is Matt the owner? Changed my review from 1 to 4 stars. Being this is a beginner class I wish the instructor would have guided me a bit more as to if I was doing things correctly. Update 2/27 wasn't able to book any V2 classes for a month in sunnyvale at 5pm , all booked . Wanted to join as a member but will not any longer. They pushed my expiration out which I appreciate but again it hard to wait a month for a class. Spoke with Michael who said it's a busy time w New Years resolutions and wait lists usually open up. I joined Pilates V a couple of months ago. I always heard wonders of people that have practiced Pilates. What I love about this place is that it is clean, the teachers are professional and courteous, they make sure that you are doing the exercises right so you don't get hurt. I am very happy to see improvements in my health. I feel stronger and healthier now. I plan to stay in these classes as much as possible. I was a member here when they first opened and recently returned. Wow, has this place gone downhill! The main issues are: 1) they oversell memberships so there are barley any classes available when you go to sign up. They are understaffed and know it, so should not be overselling these memberships until they have the staff to teach classes. 2) Due to the above issues with booking a class, you can sign up for a waitlist. They have a late cancel policy, which has always been difficult to swallow, but somewhat understandable. The policy is that you are charged 15$ for cancelling in less than 12 hours of a class you signed up for. However, they also have a late cancel policy for waitlist classes that is atrocious. If you don't check your email on the hour to see if you have been moved from the waitlist, they also charge you the 15$ fee. Therefore, on top of the 230$ monthly fee, you are charged these fees as well. This was my response from the company: "After looking at your account it looks like you were automatically enrolled yesterday at 4:15pm to the 5pm class today and an email was sent (see screenshot). All clients are in charge of their own waitlists and all fees are charged as normal for late cancels or no show fees." So because I did not check my email within the 45 minute timeframe, I am now being charged. The suggestion was also to get text messages from the company; what if I don't have my phone with me for an hour because I decide to unplug (for my own health). 3) Many of the top reviews include names of instructors that are no longer working there and have not for years- Giselle, Lizeth, etc. These instructors were top notch. But please keep in mind that these reviews are for the instructors, not Pilates V. I would say the energy is not the same. read more

I joined Pilates V when they opened initially and their instructors and offerings continue to improve. Giselli is a great V3 instructor and provides a zen experience while kicking your butt at the same time! She also plays great music. The studio and equipment is well maintained and clean. They have various torture tools including the reformer machine, chair, and spring wall and also many different class options such as jump board and barre. Class are easy to purchase and book online. I would recommend to book classes at least two weeks in advance as they get quite full. read more

First, let me warn anyone who wants to try to sign up to take classes at Pilates V! DONT! I took the free class they offer to learn the equipment and a few exercises on the equipment and I loved it., I got an email from Edna offering me a discounted rate for one month. She didn't tell me to check the schedule or make sure it works for my schedule. (I can show anyone the emails) I paid the amount, downloaded the app and went on the schedule and ALL THE CLASSES THAT FIT MY SCHEDULE WERE FULL!!!! And the waitlists WERE EITHER CLOSED or FULL!! I did get into one class near me that worked. I went to the class and loved it!! Talked to the instructor after and she told me "good luck getting in" so many new people complain about the same thing! The higher ups don't listen to them. It's exhausting to go on the schedule every day and try and get a spot! We shouldn't have to work that hard to go to a class. I didn't pay for a membership to have to work so hard to get in a class., so I asked for a refund! The manager of all the studios? Her name is Kaitlyn! OMG! The worst, most unprofessional manager I've ever had to deal with EVER! She's mean! I feel like they lure new customers in knowing their full and then it's too bad customer! It's a scam! With a lot of back and forth she finally decided (against company policy) to give me a refund minus the one class I took who's is 49.00 my month membership 149.00!!! Ha! I'm still arguing! I'm a veteran! I have PTSD! Anxiety! I take meds, therapy and I can only get out of my house between 12-3 she didn't care! No empathy! Don't sign up!!! WARNING! She called me today and said I thought we should talk instead of email. She just started repeating everything she wrote in the email. I tried to interrupt her to say I don't want a play by play of what you already said. She was rude! Firm! My dad was shocked! She told me " you can speak when I'm done, don't interrupt again" I was a manager for a dental office for over 25 years, if my boss heard me speak to a patient the way she spoke to me, he would have marched me out of the practice and said bye! read more

I bought a 10 class pack at their holiday bazaar and just finished using them up. Before Pilates V, I had only taken two reformer classes, so I started with the v0 class to refamiliarize myself with the terminology of the different equipment. I then took about three v1 classes and finished off my package taking v2 classes. I took classes in the morning, afternoon, and evening, with a variety of different teachers. I highly recommend testing out the teachers, as they each have a distinct personality, teaching style, and teaching voice, and you'll probably find that you jive with some of them more than others. That being said, I found them all to be knowledgeable and encouraging. I tried to vary up the class type that I took too, but I don't think I made it through all of them. I also recommend trying out the different classes. I really enjoyed the jumpboard classes and if you have knee problems, consider giving it a try anyways because the reformer keeps it fairly low impact. I liked Judy's TRX class too and found that to be the hardest for me personally. As a random point, shout out to the owners for putting those soothing landscape things on the ceiling, as I enjoyed looking at them while on the reformer! In the end, I decided that pilates isn't really my type of exercise. However, I can still appreciate that Pilates V is a fantastically run studio, with awesome instructors and a lot of different equipment to keep the classes fresh and interesting. read more

The BEST new addition to the Sunnyvale hood. Love this Pilates studio. Super cute, clean and the instructors are very knowledgeable and nice. They have a great management team who is super responsive and truly cares about their customers. I had never used a reformer before, and it was such a great experience. I took several classes at Pilates V Sunnyvale with the intro package. Even though I like pilates as a workout, I do not plan to return to Pilates V. Reasons why I'm not renewing: 1. Not clean: lots of hair and dust on the floor and equipment on many of my visits here. How often do they clean the floor? 2. Worn out equipment: The pilates reformers have tears on many headrest and platform surface. 3. A few rude instructors: I took Lizbeth's beginner class. She not only provided poor instruction, but yelled at the class and singled out students who were not doing the right move (when she was the one not giving clear instructions - most of the class was doing different things). Quality of other instructors vary and there are some who are polite. 4. Difficult to book any class: Classes are usually fully booked several weeks in advance. Even if you get an unlimited package, it is difficult to find any noon or classes after work. read more

Been coming for ~7 months, and it's been great experience so far! I really enjoy the convenience of scheduling classes online and have it be sync'd to my calendar. Also, since each workout person has their own reformer machine and mat space, I never have to worry about overcrowding like other group exercise classes. I've been attending the v1 and v2 fit classes since they best fit my schedule, and have tried a variety of instructors. Each instructor definitely brings her unique energy to the class! My favorites are Judy and Erika, they are very pleasant/calm/patient and I can easily visualize the movement with their instructions. Highly recommended! read more

Took classes with them for a year before my 3rd pregnancy, almost all the way during pregnancy and soon after giving birth. Can't say enough great things about pilates and Pilates V in particular. The instructors are awesome, the exercises are challenging but great, the studio is clean and I also met many nice people :). Pilates gave me energy, improved mood, and amazingly helped to reduce nausea during my 1st trimester. By 3rd trimester, it also helped to reduce aches and pains. I felt so much benefit from it that I took classes almost every day. The instructors were great and worked with me and my pregnancy and gave me safety adjustments accordingly. Beginning of the 3rd trimester, as there were more modifications needed, I took private classes with Giselli and Lizeth. They were very kind & caring and always made sure that the exercises were safe for the different stages of the pregnancy I was in. I also managed to avoid gestational diabetes this time around (had it during my previous pregnancy and was told that it'd most likely get worse with subsequent pregnancy - my OB was impressed that I didn't get it again). Pilates V is the bomb! I've been a student of the Reformer about 8 years now. My initial experience was with smaller group classes, anywhere from 2 to 6 people, but usually closer to 3 or 4. So when my former instructor cut her schedule significantly, I decided to check this place out on the recommendation of a friend. I was unsure how my experience in smaller classes would translate to a larger class size with a max of 12 students. So I took the v0 Intro as well as a single v1 class to acclimate myself to the Pilates V way. From there, I moved right into v2 and haven't looked back! All of the instructors are top notch, attentive, and offer modifications to accommodate the differing levels of students in the class. Even in the rare class of a full 12 students, the arrangement of the Reformers allows the instructor to walk around and effectively watch everyone, making adjustments or corrections as needed. Each instructor has a slightly different teaching style so you're bound to find at least one that resonates with you. I've enjoyed classes with a wide majority of the instructors, both at Sunnyvale and Willow Glen, and seriously, I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. Many other reviewers have already expanded on differences between various instructors, so in the interest of keeping my review from getting too long, I'll leave you to read those instead. :) I love the addition of the fusion options--TRX, Barre, and F.I.T. (Functional Interval Training)--which allow you to focus on different areas in addition to the standard Reformer workout. Jumpboard classes give you a nice low impact cardio boost, TRX an extra shot of strength training using your body weight as resistance, and F.I.T. keeps things exciting with the addition of cardio, hand weights, springboard and more! I haven't taken the Barre fusion class yet, but I hope to soon. Oh and there's also a Stretch & Release class using the foam roller. Now that I have an unlimited membership, I'm hoping to check out one of those soon too. Overall, the wide selection of classes offered, along with the varied and generous class times, is perfect for my schedule, and helps make for a well-rounded workout regimen. Friends recommended Pilates V, I gave it a try now I am hooked! Pilates studios are very expensive, on par with one-on-one personal training but PilatesV has developed a method of cost effective group training using the Pilates reformer and various props, foam rollers, hand weights etc. The owners are very responsive via email, the studio is well equipped and very clean. I have tried four of the instructors so far (Erika, Giselli, Annie and Judy), all of them are great (cannot speak for the others, check reviews) . I will probably settle in to a 3x per week routine. New students have the option to sign for a package of 6 classes or an unlimited month at a reduced rate. If you have never used a reformer before, it is a versatile piece of exercise equipment. The instructors mix it up each class, so you are not doing the same routine each session. There are some basic exercises you will do each time but they always add in something new. Classes are suitable for men and women, although it seems most are female, have seen guys in several classes. New students of all fitness levels are required to take the introductory class (offered 2x per week), which is primarily an introduction to the equipment and the class structure. After the intro class you can select from 3 levels of classes. Most people start with the level 1 classes. I only wish I discovered this place last year when it opened! (they also have location in Willow Glen and I think there are studios planned for other locations). read more

I have always loved pilates, but I have only done mat pilates in the past (years ago) and when I saw the Groupon for an affordable reformer class I took the chance to cross train for dance. As a chiropractor, I fell in love with reformer pilates immediately, because it took the spine out of the equation while working on strengthening. I'm not a big gym weightlifting fan, so pilates was a great alternative. This studio is relatively new, and because I liked the instruction (small class of max 12 students) and equipment I bought a class pass. I feel like I got more fit especially in my extremities while accidentally working on my abs. The parking's really easy as it shares a huge lot with other stores. I would recommend this studio for anyone who's been interested in getting fit with pilates but felt intimidated by the machines. They have free intro classes throughout the week, which was a perfect way to start. Then you start at level 1 and move up. I especially enjoyed the Jumpboard classes and tried out FIT for the first time and loved it. I got up to level 3 where I really felt challenged (ab workout to the max!). read more

BEST groupon I've ever purchased. I absolutely do not enjoy working out but with pilates, I don't find myself staring at the clock wishing it would all be over. I started going working out more because I have tight and painful muscles in the neck and shoulders area. I've only noticed a small change in the pain but I feel a lot stronger and more energetic. I like how instructors are always reminding you to focus on your posture and form during class. Classes: v0 complimentary class is great to get use to the equipment and basic poses while still getting a pretty good workout. v1 classes are the next step up and the recommendation is to take 5-10 before moving up. After 5 classes, I moved to v2 adv. beginner class which I found intense but could handle. After a few more classes, I tried v2 FIT, and my body was sore from head to toe from the intense pace. Class sign up is really easy using the online booking system. It makes check-in at the class fast. Studio and Prices: The studio is really clean. It really helps that you must wipe down the equipment after class with an enviro-friendly cleaner. I like that the class sizes are small (max 12 students) which is why they charge for late cancellation. Normal price is a fair $25/class but packages are cheaper per class. Management is very responsive to emails which is great. I hope they expand the class options, especially evening/weekend classes, since this place is getting popular and more difficult to book classes. read more

I absolutely love Pilates V! I started with the Groupon deal earlier this summer and have been hooked ever since. I hadn't done much Pilates Reformer work before, so I was grateful that Michael and his team provided detailed guidance on how to begin your exposure to Pilates (ie. detailed class level definitions, explicit instructions on what to expect in class, how best to be prepared, rules, policies/guidelines, etc.). Plus, Michael is very responsive to questions you may have and has always been super helpful. Now, the instructors... I have taken classes with Giselli, Erika and Judy and absolutely LOVE them! They are so knowledgeable, friendly, encouraging and just a good group of people. I always feel like I get a great work out after their classes. They give excellent instruction and keep the momentum going so you're really getting something out of it. They correct you when needed so you understand the proper form of the exercise and most importantly, they always throw in different movements in each class, which is one of the best qualities about them. Not sure if other studios do that but they do here! There are other great instructors on the Pilates V team and each has a different style of teaching, so you should try them all out to see who fits your needs the best. There is a great variety of classes offered at Pilates V. So if you're looking for something more than standard Pilates Reformer classes, they also offer classes which incorporate F.I.T. (cardio interval training), Jumpboard, and Stretch/Relaxation. With the different levels and types of classes, it's great to have the option to have an easier or more challenging workout for the day. I am so thankful to have found the Pilates V team to expose me to an exercise routine that suits me perfectly, has made me stronger, and has enhanced my overall well-being. I am doing Pilates over a year now and my teacher went on vacation for the summer. I was looking for a replacement and got to this studio because of Groupon. I've been coming to Camilla's classes for 2 weeks now. the studio is very new, the equipment is top notch. it's clean and very nice. the hours are very flexible and you can find something that would fit your schedule. Camilla is very energetic and enthusiastic, she encourages everyone to max out the workout. She's creative and willing to modify exercises if people have specific injuries and needs. I think it's a good studio and it's great to see more reformer offerings in Sunnyvale. the only drawback is the class size. it can get very busy - up to 12 people.
