Wow. This was an amazing experience with my 7 year old daughters. They were apprehensive at first and quickly picked up thereafter with the assistance of our belayer- Patrick. It's quite spacious and not crowded. The staff are friendly. The bathrooms are clean and includes showers and a sauna that I definitely want to try out in the future. Because my daughters enjoyed this so much, I signed up for a free class to learn how to belay so I can bring them in the future without needing one of the staff to belay for us. The website is usable, although not very friendly. I wish it was a little bit better. The girls and I can't wait to come back!

Bouldering will always test your limits whether you're advanced or not. It's a fun way to challenge yourself and face your fears at the same time. The ambiance is definitely busy. There's people everywhere you turn. You'll definitely have to wait your turn in a few spots you want to boulder but it's quick. We paid for the day pass, chalk and shoes for 2 people which came out to $76 total. $32 for a single day pass. Totally worth it for a quick activity!

I've been taking more yoga classes and just wanted to give a shoutout to some of the amazing yoga instructors especially as someone just trying out yoga these last few months. So far: Jill is really great as someone who is new at yoga- very attentive!!, Carla is amazing at bringing in energy and really meditative yoga, and Doris is really funny and motivating especially for the more challenging sessions. I came here originally for the climbing/gym, and just did the yoga out of curiosity but honestly would come just for the yoga even without the other facilities (which are great anyway). Really great yoga instructors!!!

Older gym, so crowded at night it is must be violating the fire code. Extremely overpriced. Weights equipment is lacking.

Run down gym from the 90s with unprofessional staff. Save your time and go elsewhere, ideally to one of Touchstone locations.

Ask the Community - Movement - Sunnyvale

What is the youngest age I can bring my kid to do some bouldering?

I brought my 3 year old. She couldn't do much there, however, I was told the Movement location in Santa Clara actually has a toddler area for bouldering. Hope that helps.

Are there snacks available for purchase (like protein bars, etc.)?

    Definitely.

    Is there an auto belay?

No there is no auto-belay device. You will have to pair up with humans at the gym if you wish to top rope!

Which yoga instructors play music during their classes (not just at the intro)?

Hey Monika, most of our instructors use music at some point during their classes (generally during Shavasana) but it is up to the discretion of each instructor on how they use music during their class.

How old do you have to be to come to this gym?

Recommended minimum 5 years old. Under 18 requires parent / guardian waiver. Very kid friendly!

Auto-Renewal: Every monthly class(4 or 8 classes) forces you into an auto-renewal subscription buried in checkout, with no clear one-time option. No Renewal Notice: They send emails for feedback but none before charging your card again. Difficult Cancellation: You can't cancel online. My email request was ignored, and I ultimately had to cancel in person. Wonderful instructors, but the studio ruins the experience with deceptive billing. If you buy a pass, assume it will auto-renew until you cancel through multiple channels. Rating: 5/5 for instructors, 0/5 for financial transparency and billing service.

The entire practice was framed around "knowing your rights." The instructor began by quizzing us on the first few amendments--"What is the Fourth Amendment?" and similar questions, before launching into discussions of ICE protocols, protest rights, and police interaction limitations. At the end of class, he attempted to recite all ten amendments from the Bill of Rights, asking us to identify each one as he went. For marginalized communities, particularly Latinx, Black, Indigenous, and undocumented populations, these subjects are not theoretical exercises but lived experiences laden with systemic fear and real consequences. The instructor asked if anyone wanted a consent card for physical adjustments but never asked if we consented to having traumatic political topics brought up in what should have been a safe, restorative space. This is a profound violation of basic trauma-informed care principles. Responsible facilitation of these topics requires psychological safety, informed consent, and recognition that those most impacted do not need a civics lesson from a yoga instructor in a space meant for refuge. Yoga's fundamental purpose is nervous system regulation and sanctuary. This session achieved neither. When I addressed this with the instructor afterward, his response was: "I'm still going to talk about this, so how should I do it?" The question itself reveals the problem--believing you have the right to discuss trauma-laden political topics in a wellness space without first asking if you should. This will be my final session with core power. Moving forward, I hope this type of class will not continue. I want to add our rights are being taken every day and people are being killed for what he was suggesting to do. Which was record the police. It's triggering because why are you bringing up if you don't know your right they will be stripped from you?
