The kind gentleman offered to fill my Yeti cup with my juice
Vanessa P.

Came to this establishment to have some fresh juices with my aunt and we're greeted by the kindest man! He spoke English & Spanish too, the juices were delicious and the customer service was top tier ! We will def be returning she had the #1 pepino and I had the #5 beets !

$20 for 6 pork tacos

Cash only, no prices listed on menu. Paid $2.25 for a side of guacamole, it was a not full 1 1/2 Oz container also had a LOT of onion and tomato. Definitely not worth it. I bought 9 tacos and was told any more then 2 sides or 3 Oz of salsa would be extra. Tacos were average. Overall not worth the cost .

A burrito and Chile relleno mix uff....jajajajajajaja

This place is a hole on the wall I totally recommend it I want it a burrito but also a Chile relleno an Bua la the owner did for me aburrito an Chile relleno together he'll yeah

Like how can you charge $27 for this? It's the size of a $3 Taco Bell burrito...
Joseph C.

Rip-off. I paid $27 for a buche burrito and a lengua burrito + extra meat on both burritos. What I got was a burrito barely bigger than an Airpods case or a $3 burrito from Taco Bell. That was seriously messed up. Needless to say, never went again. There's WAY better restaurants doing buche and lengua as well.

Cash only..... This should be interesting especially since this is one of the only late night joints open in this area. 11pm is closing time, and one man simultaneously takes your order and makes your food so be nice, be patient. The food options are as eclectic as the shop. This tiny storefront seems to house piñatas, Justin Bieber CDs, Mexican envelopes and a very frightening dish called Tostilocos with tortilla chips, cucumber, jicama, pork skin, chamoy sauce, hot sauce, tamarind candy and Japanese peanuts.....YES THIS PLACE IS INTRUIGING! The food is meh along with the prices. The chicken in the crunchy shell taco lacked flavor but for a late night meal, I really wasn't expecting much. And as far as the pricing everything was a bit off. It was about $15 for a quesadilla con carne and 2 chicken crunchy tacos with sour cream. A normal size guacamole was $7.98 with tortilla chips which I found to be extremely overpriced and offensive. He makes it from scratch yes, but the amount isn't comparable to the size. Honestly this place is 1 star but gets a bonus star for its charm. I mean where else can you grab an overpriced scoop of guacamole along with a Tecate Piñata and balloons?

Fresh squeezed juices

Maybe it was the loud, drunken homeless guys out front, or the super high eyes of the guy who made our burritos that made this place way less impressive to me when DG and I came here for dinner last night. We got wet burritos to go - mine was lengua and cabeza with only avocado, onion and cilantro and DG's was chicken with rice and beans. I remember the meat being tastier the last time I was here, so I don't know if it was an off night or if the scene here turned my taste buds south. I'd come back though - the prices are good, it's close, open late, they have fresh juices, and they actually have lengua and cabeza (my faves) on the menu.

There's a magical dish that few people know about and even fewer establishments offer. I discovered it at a long-gone place called Lucy's, next to Tito's Tacos, a place now called Cinco de Mayo that I avoid. I've seen it at a few other places, and whenever I do, I order it. Invariably, it's good. It's called: The Chile Relleno Burrito- a chile relleno wrapped in a tortilla with rice and beans. It's just perfect. Pili's has it, and it's perhaps the best I've had. The difference is in the cheese, mostly- either you can have your oily melted globs or, as here, you can have firm and flavorful cheese your teeth actually sink into. The pepper makes a difference too - sometimes it has that smoldering, almost burnt taste that offsets the subtle richness of the cheese so perfectly. See, I'm drooling now. I've tried a number of other things on the menu, and they have been ok. It's the chile relleno burrito, though, that elevates the place in my mind (and my score). The place itself is kinda dive-y, with nothing that you could call decor. But it's ok - I take out, rush home, visions of that first bite in my mind. Oh, and try the tres leches dessert too: it's like a tiramisu, but with dairy on top of dairy on top of dairy. Yes, it's rich. Bonus for being open hella late - 2AM!

crispy pastor

Oh God. This place had soooo much potential. But no, they had to go and fuck up any hope I had to having a good lunch. First off, before I even walk in, this place from the outside looks soo legit made, like straight up mexico style and the interior matches. Second, they not only had a HUGE menu, they also were selling random shit like gum, cereal, and mexican cds. haha...yeah, how awesome is that? Third, they have a big tile on the front counter with our lady of guadalupe. Everything was really loooking up. She even brought my food to me. How nice. Nope, that shit stops right when I take a look at my food. What I'm assuming is the asada, looks like meat that's been boiled or something. Greyish curry yellow color that looked nasty. But I still ate it. It was tender and moist, and the salsa was great, but the color...I couldn't get it outta my head. The pastor was ridiculous. I couldn't believe what I was eating. The pastor was sooo dry and crispy, like it's been sitting in an oven for way too long. It was like eating supermarket deli food an hour after the deli closes. I was seriously thinking about going up to her and asking her what the deal was with my food. Was it something I said? Does she not like Filipinos? What gives? Either way, the food was fucked up.

Great place for a quick bite, snack or fresh juice

The tacos were mediocre, overpriced for what you get. The service was decent. You could buy other Latinx candies and trinkets.

Now when you pull up originally you might think, "am I in the right place" but once you park and get into the courtyard, it is LOVELY! Amazing ambience! There is a bocce set up, string lights. It is a little slice of oasis in the middle of the fashion district. The restaurant itself - beautiful. I couldn't ask for more. Absolutely perfect in my book. Beautiful plants hanging, perfect Spanish music in the background (any place playing Natalia LaFourcade is a win). The drinks were great! I had the jungle bird which was fun. Food was so good too. The whipped beans are the star! We had the guacamole which was tasty, great tostadas with it. The arepas were good but the pork belly was a little too fatty (I know pork belly is always fatty) to the point the fat muted the flavored for the arepa a bit, but still delicious. The empanadas were great and as someone who lived in South America and ate empanadas every day, these really took me back to my Paraguay days. The squash blossoms were light and perfectly fried. Unfortunately my friends had gone to Funke the night before so they were comparing the squash blossoms and Funke won out, but they still liked Dama's! Small plates were enough for the 3 of us. The service was quick and attentive. Parking was easy for us. I will definitely be back!

The staff are lovely humans who really seem to care about their customers. We have some faves on the menu. The bean dip is fabulous and I'm addicted to the baby gem salad. They have recently amped up the filling in the delicious crispy squash blossoms and I love the acidity and heat. The fish is also a hit in my books. One dish that doesn't work for me is the lamb chops, which is a shame since it's my favorite protein. I've ordered them multiple times with clear instructions on temperature and have found them overcooked and tough. The beef tostada was just ok. Whilst I loved the pickled veg on the side, the beef was underseasoned. It wasn't bad - just not up to the standard of other dishes. The vibe in the place is welcoming and the restaurant is nicely appointed. We will continue to be regulars and it's really worth trying if you haven't been yet.

Walking in you're shown many awards, culminating in a 2025 Michelin. There must have been a special occasion to be welcomed by music that was incredibly loud. We sat down, and I couldn't hear myself think, or the waiters voices. We asked for another table, but unfortunately that brought a certain type of attitude from the host. I'm sure the music would have been nice if it wasn't as loud, on amplified speakers. After finally being seated, near the bar, the service seemed great. Seating seemed plentiful, but I can now see why a reservation is necessary. To start, the appetizer we chose was a queso fundido which was ok on their smaller tortillas. I must have been spoiled by Chalio's homemade giant tortillas. Chalio's on Atlantic by the way. Guelageutza uses sautéed mushrooms, and they garnished it with this guacamole that didn't really taste that good. Mushrooms on the fundido didn't seem right, but individually they tasted great. The chorizo was ok. My gf likes to try those types of apps. They're not known for that, so I can let it pass. Our order was taken, food was quick, and hot. The attentiveness of the staff was good, but their smiles were absent. Must have had a long day. I got the black Mole chicken, my gf got the enchilada negras(black mole) topped with their tesajo. My dish was good, hot, and full of mole, which was delicious as well. They served it with their tiny homemade corn tortillas. They have several types of mole. My gf got the enchiladas Oaxaceñas and it looked good until I took a bite of the enchiladas. They just poured mole over the tortillas and that's where the flavor went flat. The tortillas were dry and not dipped in the sauce. Traditionally in my family, we fry our tortillas lightly in oil, or lard, and roll them in the sauce. My gf didn't even finish them. I ate all of my meal, and I took her enchiladas home. They were even worse as leftovers. I tried to order their traditional flan, but they had ran out, so I ordered their tres leches. It was ok. I was really disappointed that they ran out of flan though. All in all, this establishment was ok. The atmosphere seemed very manufactured, but I've never had the pleasure of visiting Oaxaca. The mole negro was delicious on the chicken. Seeing that It was recommended on Yelp, I agreed with the statement of picking that dish. The bathrooms were great with a good amount of stalls. I can't say that about a lot of good delicious Mexican food restaurants here in LA. They seem to be more of an afterthought with some. Reminding myself this was Michelin rated restaurant, I didn't get that same feeling with the food though. This now, will give me an excuse to look into why a restaurant is rated as such to understand why that matters so much.
