However, after moving in, I found that the water line is missing its metal lid, the HVAC system was missing a pump that caused a flood in my basement and I had to hire a plumber for drainage issues. After spending $2,300 total with "Eagle Inspection", I realized I should have invested in inspection training instead. When I contacted the company about my concerns, I was promised a callback but never received one. I wouldn't recommend this company unless you already have inspection knowledge.

Karen and Peter are experienced, honest, know what they're doing, are reliable (they show up when they say they'll be there!), and they don't screw around. If the home you like has a list of flashing-red-light problems they will tell you, because you need to know rather than have a horrible surprise after you move in. I was grateful they did - they found a host of problems I didn't know were there, and the problems I knew of were actually far worse than I realized (and I've done some home work previously, I'm not clueless in laying down floors, tile, etc). Some home inspectors will give you a little folder and maybe 2-3 pages and another few pages of pictures...Peter and Karens' reports are expansive, detailed (with pictures and references) and written in plain English - not builder-ese. Their prices are fair and they will tell you - no surprise bills here! I can't say enough about the job Peter and Karen did for me, and I am certain they will do just as good a job for you, because of the upstanding people they are.

The basement was partially finished and I suspected there was mold. Danny was able to complete the mold test for a small additional charge and as we suspected there was a moderate level of mold. Report was pretty clear and he reviewed it with me. He pinpointed that the brick foundation was taking in moisture due to the exterior grading and roof downspouts. Liset kindly explained that because they would be unable to perform a thorough inspection, however, she helped guide us in the right direction towards a structural engineer. She and Dan actually got on the phone with me on different occasions to walk me through the process! I was sure to use them for when we actually did find a home. The second, in August 2022, prior to the inspection, making an appointment with Liset was a breeze. She explained details of the inspection and Dan showed up early to the appointment! On site, he explained to us the details, process, and how long it would approximately take. He seemed very thorough and knowledgeable about all aspects of the home. The turnaround time for our report was about 24 hours and it was VERY detailed! We were SO impressed. Their website/program that they use to show the report is amazing and user friendly. He took a ton of photos and used the drone to view the roof. We are SO incredibly happy we used Daset for our home inspection and know we are in good hands!
