As a first-time home buyer purchasing a cabin in Albrightsville, PA, I was nervous about the process and wasn't sure what to expect -- but Jeremy immediately put me at ease and made the entire experience exceptional. He was incredibly thorough, leaving no stone unturned as he methodically worked through everything What impressed me most was how clearly he communicated throughout the entire inspection. He walked me through each finding in plain, easy-to-understand language, making sure I knew exactly what I was looking at and what it meant for me as a buyer. He never made me feel rushed or like my questions were a burden -- he welcomed every single one. Jeremy is exactly the kind of professional you want in your corner when making one of the biggest decisions of your life. I am genuinely grateful for his expertise, his patience, and his commitment to doing the job right. I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone in the Poconos area looking for a home inspection they can truly rely on.

I was told I could request a refund. I requested that refund on July 28. I was told it was being processed that afternoon. On August 13 they told me the check would not have been approved until August 6 and then mailed on August 7. I was told the latest it would arrive was August 21. When I called today I was told the check was never even processed. On top of this their water inspection came back several days late - "worst-case scenario is next week around Monday" and it came Wednesday. Their radon inspection came back with incorrect information that they told me they could not correct until they got their device back 2 days later. Apparently they are unable to edit PDFs. I never received the corrected radon inspection. Completely unprofessional.

We had the opportunity to work with Chris in our property. The entire process was seamless, from booking an appointment, the invoice, and the day-of procedure. Chris arrived early to capture the exterior documentation (i.e., front/back entrances, roof, facade) and greeted my partner and I with warmth and good humor. We examined each part of our future home, and Chris was very helpful with answering our questions and sharing context when weren't familiar with certain issues. It's clear he was knowledgeable and reassured us that we would be in good hands on closing day. After the inspection, you receive an in-depth report with assessments on the areas of improvement, concerns, and general status reports. I think he did a great job "looking for trouble," keeping us notified of how to be proactive should any maintenance is needed. Eagle Inspections was great to work with, and should definitely be considered in any home-buying process.

I recently had two disappointing experiences with my "first time home buying" inspection service…read more The first inspection for the new home indicated everything was fine, but after taking my contractor he discovered serious electrical and roofing issues, leading to my cancellation and a loss of $1,000. I gave the company another chance for my next inspection, where a different technician completed the job in under half an hour, assuring me everything was okay. However, after moving in, I found that the water line is missing its metal lid, the HVAC system was missing a pump that caused a flood in my basement and I had to hire a plumber for drainage issues. After spending $2,300 total with "Eagle Inspection", I realized I should have invested in inspection training instead. When I contacted the company about my concerns, I was promised a callback but never received one. I wouldn't recommend this company unless you already have inspection knowledge.

So it is paramount that you get a home inspector that will 1. be straight with you and 2. not overcharge you for unneeded things to pad their invoices 3. be straight with you (you get the idea). Karen and Peter are experienced, honest, know what they're doing, are reliable (they show up when they say they'll be there!), and they don't screw around. If the home you like has a list of flashing-red-light problems they will tell you, because you need to know rather than have a horrible surprise after you move in. I was grateful they did - they found a host of problems I didn't know were there, and the problems I knew of were actually far worse than I realized (and I've done some home work previously, I'm not clueless in laying down floors, tile, etc). Some home inspectors will give you a little folder and maybe 2-3 pages and another few pages of pictures...Peter and Karens' reports are expansive, detailed (with pictures and references) and written in plain English - not builder-ese. Their prices are fair and they will tell you - no surprise bills here! I can't say enough about the job Peter and Karen did for me, and I am certain they will do just as good a job for you, because of the upstanding people they are.

Buying a home is a big decision and you want to ensure that your home inspector has all your bases covered. I called to shop around at different inspection services, and although this one was a bit more pricey than the others, it was totally worth it. I have relocated quite a bit over the past 7 years, and have lived in 5 different states. By far, this home inspection service leaves the others in the dust, hands down. Karen, Sean, and Pete were all on time, extremely thorough, and answered all of our questions from the very first phone call to the end of the inspection. They came out to the home we were purchasing on a Sunday with very little notice and left no stone unturned. Friendly, professional, and really top-notch service. I would highly recommend them to anyone. If you plan on attending a full inspection with them (well, septic, and full house/insects) all I can say is remember to pack a lunch - they are so thorough that the inspection takes about 3 hours, start to finish, for everything. I received the report this evening and my husband and I are awed at how thorough this inspection was. They included photos of all items, outlined the issues, explained how the inspection was conducted and why. Although our septic and radon reports are not yet ready they have already called me twice today with updates. Amazing, amazing service - tell your friends to call them for inspections! Would definitely call them again.
