Pillory is amazing it's pretty packed most nights and hard to get up to bar but after you get a drink it's great.

Stopped here when visiting Plymouth and definitely gave nice local vibes! There was a guitarist playing on Saturday afternoon which was fun. Our table ordered a few hotdogs, pretzel bites, and a grilled cheese - the boys saw a 2/$5 hotdog deal online but sounds like we just missed this! Great Location The atmosphere Is very nice. A rectangle window was open to see the harbor. We had good. Rubin, grilled cheese and TBCM. The size of the sandwiches was nice. The original Pillory was fantastic and why the Yelp rating looks so good. Prior to new owners you would get two great hot dogs for $5. Now a single is over $8. Complaint for a mother day is they also stopped the pretzels with beer cheese. A great local spot turned into just another tourist trap. read more

Ducked into Pillory Pub on a whim. Their "yes, our air conditioner is on" sign probably lured me in subconsciously given the 90°+ temps. Kitchen was running a bit behind, but I ordered a "tipsy pilgrim" (note: tasted like a rum runner), while I waited. The waitresses were friendly and accommodating, though they could have been a bit more attentive. Prices are reasonable, but portion sizes are also small. I opted for a hot dog and chips, which is well outside the norm for me, but something said "do it." It was good. It wasn't great, as the hotdog was over cooked and hard/dry on the outside. But it was good. This place would be ideal for a small group looking to get drinks and people watch. The draft menu is expansive, and rocking chairs allow you to enjoy a drink while overlooking the harbor and its guests. read more

A few nice rocking chair seats with a view, if you can get a chair! Plenty of tables packed within this establishment. A decent beer list and a nice place to take a break on a hot summer day. We tried a couple of hot dogs and were left a little disappointed. Nachos were large and covered in toppings yet there was no real flavor or taste from the canned cheese sauce, jarred jalapeños and dry chicken that covered the tortilla chips fresh from the bag. This is my favorite place to visit in Plymouth. Took my daughter for lunch and two meals, iced tea, and root beer were less than thirty dollars, which is totally affordable (less than McDonald's Big Macs). The hot dog selections are the best, and she had a grilled cheese which she enjoyed. Both meals included a bag of chips. This was a great little spot right across the street from the waterfront. The clientele was a total mixed bag so you'll fit in here no matter what you look like, as long as you're ready to have a fun time! The live music was wonderful, they had a great beer selection, and we enjoyed some of their fancy hot dogs for dinner. Admittedly, the hot dogs were kind of weird as far as shape and texture, and they weren't quite filling enough to be considered a meal even with the side. Decided on a whim to take a ride to Plymouth to see the sights we haven't seen since we were kids. Fun day exploring Plymouth! On the way back to the car we passed by Pillory Pub and the open window with the amazing view drew us in. We sat in the rocking chairs and people watched for 2 hours! Did not eat any food but the drinks were cold, staff was polite, and the atmosphere was fun. It's definitely worth a trip to the Pillory Pub if you're visiting Plymouth! read more

Our au pair walked into the Pub to have a beer this evening, only to be met with hostility and racism by the female bartender. When she tried to order, she was told that she was not understood in a condescending and insulting manner. We will never frequent this establishment again, and will make sure that our extended family, who resides here, will avoid it with a ten foot pole as well. Unacceptable. read more

I have come to befriend all of my neighbors each time I am there since everyone has the same plans on their mind! For the beer drinkers: They have 16 beers on tap, and plenty of bottles and cans to choose from. You can easily tell what its available by looking at the chalkboard to the right of the bar. For the liquor drinkers: Try whatever their special drink is of that day, everytime I do, it's fantastic! What a great little pub! We saw this place as we were walking to see Plymouth Rock. Since we were lucky to find a parking spot close, we decided to eat here. We loved this place! The view was awesome, but the rocking chairs/front row scenic seats weren't available when we went. We sat at the bar and although it did take a while for the waitress to acknowledge us, she was very nice and we knew she was really busy. I was tempted to try a $5 margarita but refrained... I had the lobster slider and cup of clam chowder lunch for $10. Perfect little portion size and was very tasty. Although, the clam chowder wasn't the best I've had.. Still pretty good though! My husband and I stopped in for a drink and some food to go. The drinks had no alcohol. They were made wrong. His burger was microwaved, bun and all. My pretzel bites were rubbery because they too were microwaved. The cheese sauce was watery. We spent $52 plus tip for the worst food I have ever eaten. The service was terrible. The bartender was sitting with her friends on the customer side of the bar and had an attitude when taking our order. I will never go back there. read more

Absolutely in love with this place. Awesome for large groups, they'll rearrange tables and everything. Unlike a lot of places downtown they are super nice about splitting up tabs, saving everyone the headache later on. The rocking chairs looking out to Water St. are to die for. The absolute best part of the Pillory is their prices. They absolutely destroy everywhere else. Haven't tried much of the food but the stuffed quahog is decent. Hands down. Awesome atmosphere.
