While strolling about downtown Falmouth, we decided to stop for a bite to eat. We hadn't had any Irish pub grub in a while so we gave Liam Maguire's a shot. Overall trendy little Irish pub. We went in between meal times, there was only one other couple present. Our bartender did a fairly good job. Not a master of chat, but not bad either. You ordered adult beverages. For our dinner, I ordered their Cobb salad with grilled chicken while my wife ordered their rustic roast beef sandwich. Both dishes came out relatively quickly and wore simply delicious. 6 of us ladies show up disputing where we're going eat, but decide to stay here. Not a mistake great place delicious crabcakes, truffle fries were cooked perfectly. The salmon dishes were excellent. Went to Liam Maguire's Irish Pub last night with my bride. This was my first time. My wife has been at Liam Maguire's Irish Pub many times with our children. First we were greeted very politely. My wife recommended the His and Her's Steak On A Stone. This is steak on a stone which I never heard of. We ordered this which brought back great memories for my wife back in Ireland. We also ordered Potato Skins. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere, food, service is nothing but first class. We will definitely be back...soon. read more

My wife had to send back a BLT, you know the place is bad when you can't make a BLT had 1&1/2 pieces of thick cut undercooked bacon with No flavor. Fries were okay and chicken tenders were okay for being frozen. Chicken Caesar salad was sad the chicken was over microwaved. The only reason I gave a 2 rating was because of the waiter, he was okay, and you can't take a bad Meal out on the wait staff. We will never go back. This place is outdated at best. Is in need of an overhaul, it's making money on an unknowing tourist population. Even the drinks tasted watered down! Overall just a sad experience, when we got the bill they didn't even take the nasty BLt off the bill. I had to go back and take a point away. The waiter was not worth 2 points. read more

The live music was great - not so loud as to disturb conversation, but very nice and audience could participate and enjoy. But we were here for the FOOD.....I am a curry nut, and couldn't resist trying the Guinness Curry with chicken. I make many Thai and Indian curries myself, and this one was out of this world, with fresh cherry tomatoes, onions, bell peppers and fresh summer squash! Soooo good. My bf had steak tips; very tender and delicious, served with broccolini and potato. Both meals were around $21, normal for the Cape. Service was great and very informative. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars rather than 5 is my bf's draught beer was over $8.00, the prices were not listed. Had he known a beer was that much, he wouldn't have ordered it; but oh well. I love all their meals, but especially the seafood. I can not say enough about the fish & chips they have. All the food offerings are large and generous proportions. The friendly atmosphere and great service they have always provided keep me and my family going back year after year, and something we all look forward to with nostalgia and fondness. My parents have lived in Falmouth for 21 years and I never made it here! Finally came last night and was pleasantly surprised. They have live music on Sunday's which made a normal bar scene a little more interesting. The mussels were my favorite dish-- not really Irish but great broth. Also tried the beef stew which was just so so. Not bad.. but didn't taste special. Shepards pie on the other hand was a winner. One other thing that I want to mention is how friendly and patient staff are with kids. My first stop in Falmouth in Cape Cod after walking around a bit was Liam Maguire's Irish Pub. I was starving from a full day of sight seeing and wanted to eat something hardy. The tour bus also had really annoying people and I wanted a drink. Bingo! Found the place to get both! Wonderful little Irish Pub, very friendly service. I particularly remember it for the service. Moment we go in my brother ordered a local beer which reminded me of a shandy because it had some kinda orange taste to it. My mother and I both ordered some Baileys on the rocks. When the size of the drink came, like three times the size I would get in Miami for the price... yeah I was happy. We all ordered our food, and greatly enjoyed it. I had an amazing burger called the Irish Breakfast Burger. Beef Patty, Irish Stout Cheddar, Irish Bacon and a fried egg! When that huge burger came, my smile grew wider! I loved every bite! My husband is from Falmouth. We make our way to the Cape to visit family every few years. This is our 2nd trip to eat at Liam McGuire's. The first one was about 4-5 years ago. For our first trip, the food was good, nothing exceptional. Fast forward to today, both the food and the service were fantastic. Vanessa was our server and she was great. We started with some onion rings. They were beer battered and tasted great. Crispy outside and the onion was cooked just right. Our granddaughter was with us. Vanessa must have kids of her own, because she knew it was best to go ahead and bring the little one's food before everyone else's, thus we could avoid the ensuing meltdown. Our grand enjoyed her grilled cheese sandwich or sure. Then for our main meal, we all chose something different. And all 4 options were delicious. Our daughter chose the Crab Cakes and French fries. There was lots of crab in the cakes and they were super tasty. She enjoyed them and so did everyone else! Our son chose the Drunken Sailor Burger and fries, basically a burger with two kinds of cheese and bacon. Our son has been on his own "Cape Burger Tour" this trip. He rated this burger a solid 8.5-9.0. Until today, the highest he's ranked anything has been a 7.0. His burger was definitely "all that!" My husband chose the Whiskey Steak tips. Boy were they a great choice too. The steak tips were cooked perfectly and the veggies that accompanied them were also delicious. Now for the main star of our table...well, it was my choice...so. THE LOBSTER ROLL!!!! Yes, it was just that good. It was piled high with lobster. There was just the right amount of mayonnaise (any criticism...maybe just a tad too much...but then again, maybe not.). Did I say it was piled high with lobster??? I mean it was spilling off the roll, there was so much. After we enjoyed our food, Vanessa came by and quietly asked my daughter if she wanted the ice cream that accompanied the grilled cheese. My daughter said yes, but she really appreciated the way she asked. Nothing like letting little ears hear about something they aren't getting. Our grand thought that ice cream sandwich was perfection! Vanessa took pity on our son too. She brought him his own so he wouldn't feel left out. I'm sure it will be a few more years before we get back to the Cape. Here's hoping that Liam McGuire's is still there when we return. read more

Went there for lunch. I ordered Irish egg rolls after waiting for some time and was told they didn't have them I ordered a pound of buffalo tenders that were barely edible. They were tough and dry and while they were a little spicy but with no discernible buffalo sauce flavor. Just terrible. I probably ate three. My dining companion could not finish one.
