This place is beyond awesome. The staff I think her name was Jordan working the bar, so sweet and attentive. You can tell it's a nice local spot. Tons of Irish decor and felt nice and cozy. We came earlier in the day so it wasn't slammed but it definitely filled it a lot for a Friday afternoon! I ordered the shamrock shake which was on the drink specials. HOLY CANNOLI WOW. this thing was massive. I had no idea it would be this big and I felt like I was about to gain 100lbs but it was worth it LOL. this thing was insane and not even expensive at all. The food is pretty good (I recommend getting something seafood-related), and the staff is friendly and willing to help. And of the best times to go to the voyage is Tuesday night for karaoke, which is free and public to everyone. If you don't want to sing, feel free to drop in and listen to the various levels of talent. The pub's vibe is very Irish, with various Irish jerseys on the walls and Gaelic quotes and Irish poems found throughout. I would recommend going to the Voyage for breakfast before a beach day. Perfect spot for a relaxed meal or great beer. The food is solidly delicious, and the menu is fun and quirky - traditional Irish pub fare mixed with some fun appetizers and entrees. We tried the hot pretzels with mustard sauce, the Famous Seamus Chicken with fries and the Guinness beef pot pie. All the food was excellent and prices were reasonable; I would definitely head back to try more menu items. (Forgot to take pics because we dove right in...) The pub is located right by the beach, but not overlooking the sea. The seating is divided between the bar, some high tables, some booths and some outdoor tables. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, busy but not uncomfortably crowded. They have friendly servers and live music throughout the week. Service is a good pace: relaxed but not too slow. All-in-all a great place to visit. Lots of regulars come from around the area - which is a great sign. read more

Awesome local tavern with great south shore style bar pizza. Has the typical Irish pub style menu, decent bar size and with tables around it. Great place to watch a game or just hang out. I ordered a pick up of mozzarella sticks and a grilled chicken sandwich. I had asked for the grilled chicken sandwich with cheese, bacon, lettuce, onion and no tomato! To my surprise the grilled chicken sandwich in had nothing I had specifically asked for. It had no cheese no bacon no onion, just lettuce tomato and the grilled chicken! Usually I don't go back I just eat it but I was so frustrated because I hadn't eaten all day. So I went back and it took around 10 minutes for them to make me a new sandwich and the guy came out apologizing. Then when I left I had opened it and it was still wrong! There was no bacon on it and they had put an end piece of bread on my sandwich. It tasted awful and the fries were so burnt I couldn't even eat them. Best seafood platter evah! The scallops and shrimp are very large. The fish fresh as can be and the clams juicy and sweet!

I went for breakfast, two days in a row, because its that good. Good selection of the breakfast staples, eggs, bacon, pancakes. They've got great coffee, with a selection of mocha and latte as well. Food is really good and there is usually live music . Very little waiting and staff is very friendly

First of all, there were an annoyingly large amount of fleas in this place. Then, when we started trying to order our dishes. The waitress seemed like she had never seen the menu before. I tried to order one of their specials, and she was like: "Which one is that?", and I had to literally read the description of the dish from the menu. That was a bit alarming, but we proceeded. My sister ordered some salmon (which comes with two sides of your choice) and asked for 'mushy peas' as one of her sides. A teenager from the family who runs the place went to the little makeshift grocery store across the hall (it's basically an ice cream parlor, restaurant and a grocery store in a house), came back with a few different cans of peas and yelled, "this is all I could find". The chef was then disappointed with the poor teenager and decided to go to the "grocery store" himself. Then, after at most 5 minutes, our dishes were ready. And the peas were warm. Which means they just microwaved canned peas as a side dish. It tasted like that too. The food overall was really bad. Their pasta was a joke (my left over pasta from 3 days ago tastes better after being microwaved), the mashed potatoes & sausages was literally a really low-quality TV dinner. So basically a 3 dollar grocery item sold as a 17 dollar dish in a restaurant, just because they put it in a plate. Also, the description of one dish included Irish bread as a part of it, yet they did not bring it. We had to remind them what was one of the ingredients in their dishes. Incredibly disappointing. Waste of our money. We should've just gotten hotpockets from their grocery store. We then drove far away to get ice-cream to try to recover our taste buds. The ice-cream was one of the best we had, but still our taste buds were suffering. We then decided to share a pizza, it's been about 7 hours, I think we are finally over it. read more

Some friends and I were out looking for a place to go for dinner that took reservations during COVID. We found The Voyage had an online reservation system through one of those systems where they text you to confirm your reservation. We arrived promptly for our reservation and told the hostess that we had a reservation for 6 people. She looked at me funny and said she did not have it. However, instead of just saying "sorry can't fit you" she explained that one party was at one of their large tables and it would be 15-30 minutes to wait. She took my number and called me when the table was ready. They were nothing but kind and helpful and understanding and bumped us to the top of the list. We had great drinks and good food. Pretty reasonably priced for a bar on/near the beach. Just be warned that they are still learning (or not using) their online reservation system so call ahead of time if you can. Also must say all the staff and the restaurant were following proper covid regulations and wore masks. read more

I was drawn in by live music after a late night walk on the beach. The location is amazing. The staff and the guests alike were open and inviting and made me feel right at home. Being new to town I know the rarity of feeling welcomed in some of these smaller towns. The Voyage exceeded my expectations and allowed me to feel right at home. Here you will find Irish poetry on the walls, laughter in the air, and good food for any meal... breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Even if the food is a little slow at times, it's the place you go for the experience- not for fast food. My Irish curry was delicious! (To be honest, I didn't know there was such a thing! Try t!) For people like myself who may prefer coffee for breakfast they have a full coffee bar as well. If you're thinking none of this sounds good after a hot day on the beach... worry not. One of the patrons suggested the fried green beans (magical) I had mozzarella sticks with a pub pizza (I finished it all). The pub pizza was to die for. It reminded me of home it was thin, greasy, and full of flavor. My friend had the clam chowder and seafood platter and boyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy we left that place slowly. It was so great and the food came out fast and hot. I'm def going back there again okay ?? I was skeptical because I checked on yelp on the beach and they didn't have any pictures and now I know why you get the food and you smell the food and eat it before you take pictures lmao before you know it you've finished the plate. Very disappointing, I go to a lot of breakfast restaurants and this is by far the greasiest I have every had. The eggs were covered in butter, not lying when I say pools of butter. The plate was covered in grease. It looked like the cooked scrapped the grease from the grill onto my plate. I dont think the sausages were even cooked. The pancakes were cold and kinda raw on the center like they cooked them the night before and just heated them up. The 2 stars were for the nice waitress that just started that day. read more

Weekend breakfast location? Fabulous location. But go there with intention of appreciating the beach, and prepared for a poor service experience. Uncleared tables. Long waiting lines with no direction by staff, or willingness to create a list. After all, who wouldn't be willing to walk to the beach? Or grab a cup of coffee and sit on the porch while waiting for a table? Unfortunately, there is no one at the "newly installed" coffee bar to take names, or sell coffee! So everyone huddles, looking at one another, wondering what's going on, and being ignored by the wait staff. Don't know what it's like on weekdays, or evenings.
