The owner Chris came out within a day of calling since our Furnace in our new house went out and temperatures were falling. Chris was professional and walked through the various options and even answered all my annoying questions thoughtfully and thoroughly. Our A/C was on its last legs so we ended up replacing both at the same time while they had it cracked open. The installation team was professional and quick. They talked me through everything they were doing and reran the lines out to the A/C in a lot more logical way that would prevent future problems. We were dealing with another company that has repeatedly disappointed us but we gave them a few extra chances. When they did not show for the third time Chris sent someone that night. Chris came out this evening at almost 10. My pilot wouldn't stay on. I had called multiple places before looking up a recommendation. I came upon a graduate of our local high school.. Seemed like a no brainer and boy was the recommendation perfect. He tried for an hour. My furnace is 22-23 years old and he said he had been pulling 10-15 year old furnaces out.. crazy mine last so long.. anywho, although he couldn't get it working, we made a plan. And although it was steep, I'm getting it fixed and ordering a new furnace and ac unit. I have no hesitation with Chris. He was easy to talk to, work with, and professional. I just moved into this house provided by our church in Rochester Hills. They have been receiving service for the furnace and heater in this house, and I recently had to call them up again because the heater stopped working a few times. The one that was being used before was older and rusty, so it had been time to get a new one installed. I first met Chris awhile back, and ever since he stopped by, he was always professional, and honestly let us know that it'd be worth looking into getting a new furnace to prevent the heating problems. Every time we needed emergency service done, we'd have to keep paying service fees. A new furnace is by no means cheap, but we were able to get it installed after seeing it was the best option out of the several Chris gave us. Just a day later, the guys came over to install the new furnace which only took a few hours, and left before the night so we wouldn't have to worry about me sleeping cold again. The guys who installed gave me the product warranty paper as well, and I just filled it out online which didn't take long. I'm glad these guys have been helping us, and if anyone needs service in this area, they should definitely check this company out. Chris answered every question we had, including ones that I asked that probably he was already asked about in the past, and even showed us some tips on how to clean and better care for the basement of the house. This is a correction of what I posted on May 30th regarding having a appointment with Pilot when no one showed up or called to cancel. Chris called me the next morning (today) & explained how the paper work in the office got somewhat messed up. He apologized profusely for the confusion & it seems like I would have like to have done business with Pilot, but now-less than 24 hours I have purchased a new A.C. unit from a different company. Can't give 5 stars because they didn't sell or install my new A.C. unit but I'll keep them in mind if I have issues with my new unit. Was a pleasure talking with Chris. read more

Actually at begeining I booked another company (Parker Brothers) to replace the leaking water heater. They supposed to come at 10-11am on Monday, but never showed up and even did not response my phone calls later. Till 4:30pm I called Chris, the owner of Pilot and asked if he could stop by. He did in 20 mins. After he explained me more about the water heaters, I realized he was very nice, professional, and honest (I told him we might need to replace the humidifiers because of leaking, he told me there should have no problem if changed the bigger size water lines.) We set up time for today 1pm. My door bell rang at 1:05pm (I saw their trucks on my drive way at 1). That impressed me already. I loved to watch their working! So efficient, professional and neat! Chris and his 2 young crews are amazing!!! They replaced my 2 water heaters. They also reopened the (stupid) sealed ground drain cover, replaced the water pipes of 2 humidifiers (then my humidifiers work perfectly, no leaking any more as Chris predicted). Chris even changed the 2nd floor heater/cooler thermostat for me and only charged a kind of thermostat material cost. Thanks God, Parker brothers did not show up, then I found Chris and his company! I really appreciated Chris and his crews for their awesome work, and strongly recommend Pilot Mechenical Heating and Cooling to anybody! (p.s. Chris is wonderful! I have unfortunately had to call on him 3 times. He serviced me with a new AC one year, and then a new Hot Water heater the next year - I had a flood of water everywhere and he came out right away on very short notice the same day just to make sure a new heater was actually needed instead of being repaired. In between my needs, I called him to my mom's house for a new Hot Water heater as well. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. He is always so nice and accommodating and I trust him 100%- which besides the good work is most important to me. read more
