This Maverik station isn't exactly right off the freeway, but it's worth it to go to cause the store and restrooms are so nice. Get off from eastbound 80 on the business 80 exit and go to Hansen Street and go over the bridge over the railroad tracks and it's right there, can't miss it. All the pumps take credit cards just fine and are all modern. All fuel grades as well as diesel are available. We all pile out as I fill the tank. The crew goes inside to use the restrooms and get some road food. I told my one guy to get me some Funyons! This stop was with out any problems, all gassed up and back on the road. I went in and used the restrooms and they were more or less pretty clean. I fill a big cup with come coke and off we go till we need gas again!

The garbage cans at the pumps were all overflowing and the whole station felt dirt and neglected. I won't be stopping here again.

The store is easy to access and was well stocked. I found the few things I wanted and was able to ring up the sale at the self checkout without any delay. The parking lot was clean but the cart corrals needed some attention today. I always find it interesting that you can buy liquor in a supermarket in Nevada. I didn't need any today but it's different than my experience in North Carolina where spirits are restricted to state-operated liquor stores. Hooray for freedom. Coffee was delicious & had been freshly made. It's convenient to motels across the street. Hours of operation worked well for me. Gasoline was excellent quality. Top tier they say. I got medium octane. I returned annually here twice. I've been treated with respect by staff, even opening door for me. That's rare & commendable. No complaints here. This station seems to live up to Winnemucca's reputation of being friendly place. Maverick across town wasn't as nice. I go here when in town & feel good supporting them. I asked for directions to hot springs & campgrounds. Employee went into detail providing this. So helpful.

I am something of a grocery outlet fanatic. This one is one of the best if not the undisputed best grocery outlet I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. It was very well organized. Many I've been to are more haphazard. The selection was broad and had something for everyone (vegan turkey!!!). The prices were also great -- very reasonable and good deals. There is a couple random bottles here and there that had a price tag on the cap, but other than that, you have to ask how much stuff is. So I'm not saying they're guilty of it, but do they make up the prices according to what the customer looks like? We stopped here for lunch before heading to Unionville down the road. Perfect stop on Highway 80…read morebetween Winnemucca and Lovelock. Don welcomed us and made us feel immediately comfortable. The food was excellent and there are plenty of interesting things to look at in the store. Don kept the conversation going as we enjoyed a cold beer and burger. Down the road (paved) is Unionville historic marker, definitely worth the extra 30 miles. So if you've ever wondered what was there, stop by and see! You won't regret it;)
