Without any regard to the elegance of the dog, rather than Pimping My Dog the non-English speaking groomer decided the easiest way to deal with a few knots was to shave her show-dog style hair right off her frame. I had to ask the groomer to trim the ears & face after returning to me a shaved dog. Her beautiful hair is gone & even her beautiful eyelashes are diminished. Do not bring your specialty breeds to Pimp My Dog, it is Russian Roulette of who your groomer will be. The first time our groomer was great, this time our groomer was shit. I would leave 0 stars if I could. Being manipulated into shaving my dog with fear tactics after saying don't shave the dog, let me see the knots shaved first three times. Such a nightmare. Horrible, unprofessional, I made an appointment 1 month in advance. And this is what happened. The van arrived on time and as soon as I saw the lady she said that she was only there for a bath and eat cleaning NOT A CUT? I should have known why! First I did schedule for a cut! And I have texts to prove it, she then said ok! And I showed her a picture of how I just wanted my baby's fur only trimmed! Well she decided that I wanted her a teddy bear cut? I NEVER WANTED THAT ITS DISRESPECTFUL TO A DOG! Pomeranian should never have their fur clipped further past 1 inch EVERYONE knows that it's dangerous because it grows back hollow and not full. She told me "all of her clients want fur that style" I told her NOT me. I told her it was to be slightly trimmed ONLY! And she shaved!!! I am so mad! She also cut her anus because I have a video to prove my dog is red there and won't stop licking herself since yesterday! I honestly feel like going to the police and filing a report against this place! This is my other baby! And just because she can't-speak doesn't give a right to abuse! The texts this lady sent were unbelievable unremorseful. This place should be out of business. Imagine going to a hair salon asking for a trim and a blond highlights, and they make you bald and bleach everything? This is what they did to her because the lady never had classes! Great customer service, but... When it came down to grooming my shi stu with a classic puppy cut I got something that reminded me of the shrunken head character in the movie "Beetlejuice." I ask for a haircut and they shaved the hell out of my puppy causing her to have now problems to grow her hair back!! My dog is a Pomeranian and they are very delicate with the hair, it's super DANGEROUS to shave a dog like that!!! Looks like a rat, I start crying and my boyfriend even paid for the service. I went to vet and now it's been over 4 months and she is not growing her hair back I'm so sorry about her heath! Just google how dangerous this can be for a breed like this. TOTAL FAILURE, RACE PREFERENCE and UNPROFESSIONAL. I'll start with the fact they don't answer calls but only text. Maybe if they speak to people they'd know NOT EVERYONE SPEAKS SPANISH. After having to reschedule my initial appointment because Santiago was stuck in traffic for over an hour due to an accident (which I looked for and there were no news reports of) the next day Santiago came and there was a language barrier. I told him how low I wanted the cut and he measured with his fingers. I also told him I like my Rocky's ears long. He took my baby and said 40 minutes. An hour and a half later he texted me. He then stood at the passenger side door and wouldn't let Rocky out and proceeded to process payment for a wash and cut that my neighbors (Spanish speaking) told me was $70 but I was charged $80. He was parked in a grass patch in an alley so I didn't immediately put Rocky down, limiting view of his full cut but I could see his coat was the length I showed him. I was in a rush having made plans when he said it would only be 40 minutes. By time I walked around the truck Santiago was getting in and driving off. That was when I noticed His legs weren't cut, nor his ears. His ears weren't even trimmed or anything. This was on February 22nd. I took photos and video which I still have and texted to their number. I was told they'd come back. The issue was acknowledged and I asked if, as the owner they're proud of that work and was told on February 26 they would fix it. After multiple texts which I still have, on March 1 I was told Santiago had an accident and they had to reschedule appointments and they'd do my dog when in my area. I had no priority even though I was waiting for them to correct their problem. A week later, Tuesday March 8th, two whole weeks later when my patience had worn off and I texted again, the reply was we will be in your area Friday. I work. That didn't work for me because at this point I don't trust them with my dog and feel I need to be there. Three weeks later they made no effort to fix it. I had to ask if Santiago didn't like Black people. Now I have to ask if the owner doesn't either. This is no way to do business. Again, not everybody speaks Spanish but should still be respected and receive proper service and as the owner, the follow up is Poor. They know there's a problem and not making the effort to fix it. It's almost time for a new trim and I'm still waiting for them to fix their problem. read more

Wish I could give 0 stars and shut these people down. My cat is emotionally and physically hurt by the owners son /groomer. I told them ahead of time before they even came for service that my cats aren't easy but they have been groomed for 9 years every 3-5 months so they are accustomed to the service. The day of service the son came alone to do the grooming. That in itself should have alarmed me....Grooming cats is a 2 person job. He called me after an hour stating he could not finish. I went down to get my cat and found him terrified and his whiskers cut!! I scolded the man on his ignorance. He then tried to defend his careless stupidity by saying he didn't cut them all off. That is a big no no and any educated and experienced groomer/ animal person should know that. My cat has not recovered since the "service" which was 6 days ago and seems to have a tender back and tip of his tail. I fear the groomer used aggressive force to restrain my cat and possibly hit my baby because he got scratched. As far as being scratched... He has no one else to blame but himself for attempting to groom a cat alone. My baby has never been like this after a grooming. I tried to touch the tip of his tail to inspect it and he reacted as if pain... on closer inspection the groomer cut right to the tip of the tail and may have nicked it. Why would he get anywhere near the tip of the tail with grooming shears? This service was for a lion cut so it was uncalled for. Also my cats paws seem sensitive... probably botched the clipping or the claws too. I fear that it may be months until my cat is feeling better because he's going to be walking around without his whiskers which are sensitive nerve ending, vital for daily life and crucial for his sensory, well-being and health. Steer clear of this service and spare your precious babies. I wish I did. Update : to respond to the owner, yes at first I noticed the back is in pain, today I notice the tail hurt at the end. And now I see yet more careless pain inflicted on my poor cat... he has two gashes ok the back of his leg and foot. I called twice with my concerns of suspected ill treatment/ abuse. Neither time did you offer to put my fears to rest with security footage. I would be glad to receive that. Having two groomers on a cat is not abuse but instead for the safety of the animal. It seems like you all would rather make money and "attempt" to do a service you are in no way trained or properly staffed to do or in any way able to handle. The pictures you sent of past cats groomed by this person (as you said on the phone he was your son and this was a family business) speaks for itself, whiskers cut on each poor cat and terrible jobs cutting the fur... looks very untrained as I now know first hand by what happened to my cat. People's animals are not only pets but family members and loved dearly by their owners, you should not be surprised after my experience that I would come here and speak the truth to spare anyone else the stress, pain and heartache that my baby endured. Update 2: Owners stated on yelp that they would show security footage and when asked today to send the footage they backtracked on their word and began to threaten me with police. These disgusting people caused harm to my poor cat. They cut his whiskers which is cruel and abusive (pictures show other mine and other cats they did this to which shows repeated abuse and cruelty). Also, by my cats behavior in the week since the service I am certain their groomer abused my poor cat during the service beyond that and that's why won't produce the security footage. It's simple, if there was nothing to hide them why not produce the security tape THEY OFFERED TO SHOW!? The nerve of these people... to lie here on yelp and say they will prove with the footage to make a "show" here and then when asked by me today they refuse and lash out saying they feel harassed. OMG..the WORST ever!!! This woman came 45 minutes late for our appointment and completely destroyed my dog. My dog looked like her hair had been cut with a butter knife. It was absolutely uneven everywhere.. in one spot it was short and the other spot was 1 inch longer. This woman did not know what she was doing and did NOT listen to what I asked for. She noticed that my dog had some knots on her belly about the size of a dime, she said she was going to cut that off and I said OK. When I came out and saw my dog she had completely shaved her stomach without asking me. I was so upset about the terrible job she did that I texted the owner of the business (who's full of BS). She was very apologetic and said she was ashamed of the job her employee had done. She told me she wanted to come and fix the dogs haircut. When we made the appointment for her to come over the weekend, I called her two hours before our appointment to confirm.. she texted me back and said I'm sorry I have other clients on my appointment I cannot come to you. I said to her we had an appointment too. Obviously she does not care about her business and keeping her clients happy. ALSO, after she was done grooming my dog, she ended up charging me $15 more than the price I was quoted over the phone. they are the worst people to do business with.
