Had high hopes for this place. #1 the stylist I had told me she was leaving the salon. Great. #2 gave me cheetah spots of bleach and red/pink when I asked for a purple blue. #3 BOTH stylists, owner and stylist never said they were sorry about what happened. #4 BOTH sylists were not friendly and generally cold. They did offer to fix my hair, but after leaving in tears without an apology there was no way I was going to go back. I usually come here for my haircuts.. Because I like the workers and the environment of the place. Got my ombré colored back to my natural hair color (for wedding pictures). Or I thought that's what I paid for. The lady told me over the phone that it would be a "fill". And it would be about $35-$60. When she was done with my hair she charged me for a all over color. $85. I just paid for it and when I got home my hair where the ombré used to be, was red! And the other parts black. My natural hair color was brown.. Not black. I went back and she re colored the red parts and I told her the top and bottom didn't match. She said she would fix it. I left and the top was still brown... I didn't bother going back it seems like a waste of time and money... I'm sad cause I really liked this place and wanted to give it a chance. Waste of $100. Full color plus tip. read more

I showed up 10 minutes before they were about to close on a Sunday (I know I'm the worst). Michelle was so sweet and didn't mind at all. I came in just for a trim but she didn't rush at all and took her time to make sure my hair looked good. I asked for a shampoo and she really took her time the massage was fantastic. I found myself with a few hours this week and was hopeful to get my hair done. I stopped by Pin Curlz and set my appt for an hour later. I met Sabrina, she had an amazing warm personality. She made me feel comfortable right away. I needed to get some highlights. After she ran her hands through my hair she suggested a deep conditioning treatment. (Trust me I needed it!!!) I hadn't been to a salon for over 40 years because I have naturally curly hair and everywhere I tried would cut my hair the length they thought right, but when it dried my hair would be WAY too short! So all these years I've cut my own hair. I decided to try Michelle after reading the reviews, because I needed a cut and a color, and I thought the prices looked pretty reasonable. I stopped in one morning to make an appointment, was able to get in that afternoon, and by the time I left felt VERY well taken care of. Michelle listened to me, did as I asked, colored my hair beautifully, and couldn't have been more accommodating!! Not a good experience. Was quoted wrong price on phone. Prices not posted. Had my daughter's ends just trimmed - looks awful and choppy. My daughter even noticed how bad it looked. Had a bad experience with my balayage! Never again! They ruined my hair.. I have a brunette auburn color hair and I just wanted some caramel colored balayage which turned out as a total opposite! I even showed them the picture of what I wanted and to my surprise, my balayage turned out as an brassy orange streaked over bleached blonde ombre! Not even close to what I asked them.. I was really trying my best to see if that will work but after a week I really can't stand looking at myself in the mirror and always tying my hair.. So I went back days after to have them fix my hair, Candice did a good job toning it down but after my 2nd time to wash my hair at home, it went back to the brassy cheap color.. I'm Really disappointed. I paid good money to have them make a perfect salon paid coloring but turned out to like a DIY Home hair disaster. It doesn't even look like a salon made it because they damaged and over bleached my healthy brunette hair. I even bought sulfate free shampoo to have it toned down but it didn't help at all. I'm never coming back, they were all nice but I don't think the person that they asked to do the balayage knows what she's doing. Now I have to cash out again and go to a reputable salon to have them fix the damage that was done to my hair. My hair means a lot to me, I've always took care of them and I exactly told Deana that its my first try to have something like this to be done to my hair and now I'm traumatized. Staff were okay but I can't go back to them again and have them do another damage to my hair. I like the staff but the color services, you might want to ask them who's knowledgeable and right person to do hair color services. Just my two cents. read more

As always, I check the reviews on each location I hope to attend, so I naturally did the same for Pin Curlz Parlor. The positive reviews for this specific hair salon made me very confident about scheduling an appointment. My mom called in on a late Tuesday afternoon hoping to schedule for the next day, but they were all booked out, which was already a good sign that they have returning customers. Instead of that wednesday, I was put down for Thursday at 4 pm, which worked perfectly with my schedule. I got a quote on a haircut and ombre, which was set at $150+ (a VERY good and reasonable price). Come Thursday, time for my appointment, I was sat down with Candice, who was very friendly and understanding that I was going to chop off over 10 inches of my hair, and dye it for the first time ever! Candice was very friendly and asked multiple times throughout the process (which took about 2 and a half hours, from 4 to 7:30) if I was doing alright, and was as comfortable as can be. After rinsing and drying my hair, she took extra time to curl my hair, which looked absolutely beautiful! I do not regret one bit going to this parlor. They are very fun and outstanding. I took Candice's business card, because I plan on returning to her for every hair appointment I plan to have in the future! You guys rock!! Not to mention, right after my appointment was over, I headed over to Subway, where one of the workers complimented me on my hair! Such an awesome boost! read more

Alejandra is so bomb!!! I had a ruby red hair and wanted to go blond, in only two visits she got me there. The best part my hair is soft and healthy. She give great tips for maintaining hair health, for example, I was using my too high of a heat setting on my flat iron. The atmosphere of the salon is comfortable, they use name brand products, and the wash basins don't hurt my neck. Would recommend to all. read more

Walked in and was greeted. after I checked in a stylist came and got me. However she did not introduce herself, so I have no idea what her name was. She asked what I wanted and when I told her that either I wanted to blend in my undercut that had been growing out or just add some texture. I was cut off before I could finish and was walked over to the wash sink. Then she started to cut my hair in a basic square shoulder length cut. After it was all said and done I examined the length to notice that half of my head was a quarter inch longer than the other. I pointed this out and she said it wasn't. I foolishly said okay and moved on. I asked for face framing and she only slither cut one side of my hairline. Then without even asking if I wanted my hair blow dried and texturized she took the cape off and lead me to the front counter. Cut to three days later when I was inspecting my hair after my boyfriend pointed it out; every couple of inches or so of my perimeter there is a stray long chunk of hair about a half inch long and my perimeter looks terrible and bulky. I tell this as a cautionary tale. read more

Worst Haircut ever. Did not listen to what I wanted. Even while cutting - would ask is this length good. I indicated length was great - then she would cut more off. Apparently the technician only knew one hair cut - and that was what I wound up with. Afterwards I was told I now had my 85 year old mothers hair cut. No imagination - no skill cutting curly hair.
