The atmosphere was so fun and comfortable...the food was excellent..but the best was our server OWEN. He was by far one of the attentive and outstanding servers we have ever experienced. He was friendly and anticipated things (condiments, refills, etc) before we even asked for them..this young man is such an asset to this business!! The manager Jon was also outstanding and stopped to speak with us several times..we were so impressed with the staff and quality of this restaurant that we have already booked it for a high-school reunion event!

Parking was ample outside and we came in right about dinner time. We were sat immediately and I soon had a nice red beer. The cheese burgers were the special, so I opted for one of those with fries + the "my girlfriend isn't hungry" add of a couple chicken strips and some extra fries. The burger was perfect, but I've gotta say...for being a place called *Burg* and Barrel, their chicken strips are the best. They're juicy, the breading is fantastic, and they're always just really high quality. We came in while they were starting the trivia night deal, which I couldn't care less about, but if that's something you're a fan of...it's a thing here. Overall it was just another fantastic meal at the best burger/brew chain in the KC area.

I got a Santa Fe burger and a Moscow mule. The drink was delicious! Good from the first sip to the last. The burger was bursting with flavor. The jalapeno and the salsa added a great dynamic to a well cooked burger patty. The French fries were meaty and fried to a perfect golden brown. Great food, great service!

A religious leader in our group ordered a non-alcoholic beer (which is available), but the bartender was noticeably rude, giving him weird looks and a heavy attitude just for having to go find one. Prior to that, I called ahead to inquire about hosting a work event, and the employee on the phone was extremely dismissive and rude, stating they flat-out would not hold tables for 25-30 of us, even though they had held an area for another work group previously. On top of the poor customer service, the food is subpar compared to other options in the immediate area. Unless you are going specifically for giant wings, there are far better places nearby to spend your money. The only bright spot this location has going for it was the awesome music bingo, but otherwise, I'd suggest heading somewhere else in the neighborhood.

LOWS: - I asked an employee for some water and I got "I'm not your server," and walked away in response, didn't love that - I obviously don't know the full story behind it but writing on your menu that you are incapable of cutting a burger or sandwich in half is pretty absurd. Along with not even having knives for us to do it ourselves - Could probably invest in some blinds, the glare inside was crazy Overall a fine meal, obviously a lot going on but mostly not on the good side. The actual meal saved the day because if it weren't for that I probably would've been more critical.

Luckily we went to an event that ended at Jefferson's and were able to try a variety of their appetizers. We also found out that they have their own house made beers! If the outside had shown this was a brewery, we absolutely would have come sooner. I am a fan of their wheat, and my fiancé enjoys their IPA. We have been three times total now. Each time we are able to find a seat quickly and the service has been prompt and friendly. Sometimes we just come for appetizers. This last time I enjoyed their grilled chicken Caesar salad, while my fiancé had their chili and a dozen oysters. He had a half dozen classic and a half dozen Cajun. Highly recommend the Cajun! I've never had flavored oysters before. Basically, give this place a shot. It's a great place to either start or end your day at the park. I saw they had $4 vodka Red Bulls, and that solidified my want to come here even more. I didn't order an appetizer because I wanted to get straight to the food. I went with the Fried Clucker and a side of waffle fries. This sandwich was unbelievable huge..smothered in their house sauce, which tasted like a milder version of buffalo sauce. I thought the flavor was good, but the fried skin was falling off the chicken. Every time I cut a piece, the breading would just slide right off. Maybe they need to brine the chicken better to help it stick more but it was no biggie, it still had a good flavor. My boyfriend ordered the chicken-fried chicken, and honestly... nothing too special about it. The mashed potatoes that came with it were flavorless at first, but once we added salt and pepper, they were tasty. Now, I get that this is a bar and grill, so I'm not trying to be overly critical or nit-picky but in that category, Brewbakers definitely ranks on the higher end. This is hands down the best bar and grill I've tried when it comes to food. They even serve Jambalaya here.. what kind of bar and grill do you ever see serving this?? Would I come back? Of course! It is out of the way where i usually am, but im excited to come back and try other things off their menu.
