My wife and I frequent this establishment quite often. On Thursday June 19th we got there a little after 3 to watch the Royals & Travelers Championship. We were having a great time until the young lady who was taking care of us at the bar asked us to tab out with a shift change. We had asked her for a menu before she left. Fifteen minutes later with an empty glass in front of me and a menu I watched 3 gals travel back & forth with zero eye contact. A great place to hang out after work! I came with some friends for a happy hour, and we were able to be seated even though our group was relatively large. I decided to get the Kirk's Spicy Fried Chicken and upgraded my side to Mac and cheese, and wow! The mac was extremely delicious, and they weren't lying about the sandwich being spicy - I definitely needed to sip on my soda every few bites. I highly recommend upgrading your side as the mild cheese complemented the spice perfectly. The portions were also extremely generous - my friends were amazed I actually ate it all! As for their drinks, they did have a lot of lower cost options. I don't drink alcohol myself, but the friends who got liquor and sodas said the drinks were quite strong. I stopped by for lunch one day after golf. Even though I'm more a salad person, I was famished so ordered a cheeseburger. BEST burger I've had in years! The seasoning is perfect, it was cooked exactly medium and the onion straws on the side are so yummy! I have returned three times this summer with the exact same results. I'm hooked! One of these days I'll branch out past the burger. Each time the service was great. The staff is friendly and welcoming. I have sat on the patio each time which is shaded and comfortable. I love this Austin's because it has great TV's, good atmosphere and energy, and the food has always been excellent! There is a great variety of bar style food and they will do special orders. One of my favorites is getting the Mile High Club as a wrap... brings this classic to another dimension when you have a flavorful wrap around the goodies inside. I also love that there are a number of sides to choose from, so you can have a few favorite selections of entree's to regularly choose from but change up your side item to get some variety. Why only four stars; service. While I believe everyone really tries to make it a nice experience, it's just not consistent l. One visit everything is spot on from being seated to checking out.... the next visit there are misses on smiles, timeliness, drink refreshes, etc. There are some opportunities for improvement, like most businesses have.... but I docked a star because I would like to see more consistency throughout the experience across a world set number of my visits to Austin's. These stars are for the food and the food only! if i had yo rate our experience minus the food 5 out of 5 Not our type of food at all. I got the world famous chicken tenders with buffalo sauce and fries. Unfortunately the Chicken tenders we crispy but the chicken was a little to over done a tad bit rubbery with a peculiar after taste. Fries were doused in truffle oil which always leaves a nasty after taste in my mouth. But...But the people working there were some of the best in the biz for sure. Our server was very polite, easy to talk to and left us alone just enough. This place had a great vibe being a sports bar/family restaurant. Kids every where dad's being dads and moms being moms. groups of guys watching the games. Great place for games though! read more

The club is not worth $17. Even in this age of hyperinflation, those prices are INSANE. This place compares almost 1:1, to me, to the Streetcar Tavern in downtown KC. The prices here are higher in every single regard, and the food is not better. I think this is a case of not many options being available in the area, and the owners taking advantage. Once this area inevitably grows, people will choose cheaper, and probably equal, options. Set fair prices and your establishment is at minimum 4.5 stars. read more

This is a perfectly acceptable local sports bar chain. There are a ton of tvs and plenty of adult beverage options. The menu, while not overwhelming, has plenty of options that can feed your appetite. Think burgers, sandwiches, wraps and even a steak dinner option. Note: It is very loud in here. If you want to come for dinner you might check to see who is playing because if it's a big game then it will get loud and you might have to shout across your table. That's fine and dandy if you're there for the fun. If not, it can be a bit of a bummer. read more

In town visiting family and we went to Austin's on Lone Elm for lunch one day. I was SHOCKED by the prices here. I get that everything is costing more, but this was the most expensive meal we ate while in town and we all just had sandwiches and fries, except for my daughter that had an entree. Her entree with two sides and a roll was cheaper than the rest of us that just had the sandwich and fries. I even got their special lunch which was $8 dollars cheaper that day. It was more expensive than the BBQ and Italian we had. If the food was unforgettable I wouldn't mind paying that price, but they sandwiches were average and the fries were soggy even though I asked for mine to be extra crispy. We've heard many of our olathe friends rave about Austin's so since we found ourselves in that neck of the woods at dinner time we gave it a try. Hubby and I split beef nachos and buffalo chicken wrap. The nachos were great and really loaded. The wrap was ok but didn't really taste any buffalo sauce. The western fries were awesome! read more
