It was a little bit of a drive from Overland Park to this place, but I thought it was totally worth it because I want to explore local, micro breweries who specialize in beer, sours, etc. From outside, you would feel this is just another place when you walk in it's so huge and it's completely open here and there is a stage where some artist is performing live they have a trivia night and plenty of beer options We were greeted well and seated appropriately. People are so kind and courteous. They took care of our needs and let's talk about food. Can you believe they have amazing food literally so many options we had different type of nachos wings chicken roll burgers plenty of options and everything is great. We went here last weekend for the grilled cheese flights on National Grilled Cheese Day. I didn't know that day existed until Red Crow Brewing let me know and I'm grateful for that tidbit of knowledge! It was our first time here and it seems like such a fun place! Our server was just the cutest, nicest girl! She let us know about other events they have like trivia and even a spelling bee! There's prizes! How fun and exciting. I saw board games available for you to play at your table so having a group of friends or coworkers out could be so much fun. They have quite a few of their beers on tap. I'm not a big fan of beer so I passed on all of those and wound up getting a flight of their seltzers. They were delicious! I think the blueberry was my favorite. I really wish they sold these to go because I would've grabbed some on the way out. They sell some of their beers to go Now let's get to the grilled cheese unfortunately they don't always offer the flight and this was a special but they do offer the sandwiches for you to purchase individually with fries. My favorite was a berry and cream cheese one that also had bacon. it was scrumptious. All of them were good but it was my favorite. You got 4 halves, but the halves were huge. we shared one platter and it was enough for two people. It also came with a dessert grilled cheese. That was a s'more. yummy! Just in case anyone from Red Crow Brewing happens to read this review, I'd really like to recommend having the grilled cheese flight on the menu! Lol And please sell some growlers of your seltzer! The blueberry and POG were amazing! I loved them all! I really wish I could remember the name of our server because she was just the best! If I go back, I hope I see her so I can get her name and I promise I will come back here and add it to my review. Blown away with this brewery. Ample space and events on the daily puts this brewery high on my list. Their beers are named after women which is a fun touch. They have so many food items on their menu which you normally wouldn't think about except for the fact that all of their food runs out of a food truck which is INCREDIBLE! Props to that truck because they can make some good food. We had 5 people order food at once and all our food came out fast and was correct. Chicken sandwich was very juicy and so tasty! I love Red Crow. I try my best to stop in whenever I'm back home in the KC area. They consistently have friendly service, great beers, and tasty burgers. More recently they've featured fun seasonal drink options for those who are looking for a little more adventurous drink. This past trip to KC I was happily surprised by Red Crow's Christmas pop up. We stoped by the Saturday after Thanksgiving and it was a Christmas Wonderland! The venue was decorated from floor to ceiling and even had an area where you could take a picture with Santa. How stinking cute! To top it all off, their seasonal drink menu featured some delicious cocktails. I chose the Polar Espresso Martini and Gingerbread Martini. Both cocktails were presented well and super tasty! If you're hungry, their menu has plenty to choose from. You'll find your typical appetizer selections, soups and salads, burger and wing options, pressed sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, as well as tacos and nachos. My friend and I split the Buffalo Chicken Egg Rolls. The egg rolls were STUFFED with buffalo chicken. Definitely getting your money worth with them! We came here during KC Restaurant Week and really enjoyed it! We ordered a couple of their house made hard seltzers, which were amazing, as well as their chips and queso (one of the best quesos we've had hands down), deviled eggs (to die for), and their Dr. Pepper BBQ burger (I loved the candied bacon). A good friend of mine had been mentioning this brewery for a while now and I was finally able to check it out. They have several options of beer that they make as well as cocktails. They have food options if you are needing or wanting food. I got a Dr Pepper BBQ burger which had really good flavor and was cooked perfectly. Fries were a good size for a side as well. This space used to be an automotive garage and repair shop. Now it's a brewery. It's a good hangout spot. There's a lot of space inside (plus a small patio,) so don't feel bad if you have a larger group. Most of the time there should be space, though you might call and check during peak times and holidays. The beers are solid and reasonably priced. The line up rotates, but there's something for everybody. I enjoyed a lager and a Saison. Another at our table liked his IPA. Food is available through the Casual Foodie food truck if you're hungry. It's good and pairs up well with the beers, though it's probably best as a snack and not a full meal. Service is pleasant, but a little spotty. read more

Red Crow is a go-to week night spot to meet up with friends and family for drinks. Olathe is short on casual hang out spots - everything is pretty much a chain or a sports bar around here, so the Red Crow fills a gap - I wish there were more spots like this. The Red Crow is a brewery, first and foremost. I like their beers, and they have a good, rotating variety. They also have a couple of gluten free beers, which I appreciate. The Red Crow also has a full food menu, thanks to their partner, a food truck called the Casual Foodie (check out their reviews individually). The menu is pretty large and diverse - it has several vegan and gluten free options, which is huge for my family. A downside is that the Red Crow doesn't have a full bar. They have a couple of mixed drinks that rotate in. I really wish they had soda on tap - they just have 20 oz bottles. Because we often go here for dinner, not just drinks, it's a major bummer to not be able to get a fountain drink with a meal. The Red Crow hosts a ton of monthly events like trivia, bingo, happy hours, and movies - check out their website for this months options. The space is large and with tall ceilings and garage door windows that provide a lot of natural light. They have huge tables that accommodate large parties. There are actually very few tables for 2-4 people, so it can be kind of weird to sit with 1 other person at a table for 10. Also, the acoustics can be kind of shitty, so when it's packed, it's tough to hear. But overall, the space is a nice place to hang out. We have been to Red Crow in the past to try their beers and partake in their trivia night, which is a blast. They always have a wide selection of beer on tap and usually have a rotating cider as well. The vibe here is really chill and relaxed. It's a great place to hang out and the bonus is the food is great too. There's no kitchen (that I've even seen) in the building, but just outside the back door sits a food truck that's turning out delicious food to the hungry patrons of Red Crow. The food truck is run by Casual Foodie and it might be casual, but it's delicious. We started out with drinks and appetizers following the restaurant week menu. I tried the California Common beer, which is a little heavier than I tend to like, but it was malty and flavorful. My husband tried the strawberry lemonade hard seltzer which he really loved. His appetizer was chips with Salsa and Queso. The queso is one of the best we've ever had, perfectly balanced heat and the perfect consistency for dipping. I'm not sure what spices it was, but the chips were coated in something that just really brought the flavor to another level. I ordered the deviled eggs which were seasoned with chipotle, and had a slice of jalapeno and a piece of candied bacon on top. These were definitely spicy, but the candied bacon was a great piece of relief when you took a bite. I would order these again. For the main course my husband tried the turkey bacon ranch sandwich which was crispy and warm. The turkey was thick sliced and the bacon again was candied making for a bit of sweet with the savory sandwich. I tried the nooner Burger and I am OBSESSED. This likely won't make sense to anyone from KC, but it reminds me of a burger from a place called Bakers back in California, but DONE BETTER. Aside from being honestly so freaking good, it just hit me right in the nostalgia. I want to eat this burger every day. We rounded out the meal by taking home our cheesecake desserts. They had 2 kinds so we took one of each. There was a salted caramel Oreo and a berry compote. For me personally the caramel Oreo was slightly too sweet, but the berry hit the spot perfectly. I've been to Red Crow several times and it has been hit or miss but the last few times have been a positive experience. The House Margarita is pretty good but I think it might be quite strong. I love the food options, and the food truck owner has been kind and accommodating and included some vegan options. I typically order the Sweet Potato tacos which are a good size and good value. There are a lot of seating options - bar seating, tables, and high tops and several options for larger groups. However, I find it to often be extremely loud, and hard to hear someone that's not directly next to you. After we ordered we got are food a hour later and my brother didn't even get there food and never did when we left and still got charged for it. We had a lovely experience at Red Crow. Located in a strip mall on Sante Fe and Parker St (much further south than I usually venture), this spot is unassuming from the outside, but very spacious when you get inside. The staff (shoutout Amelia) is so kind and helpful. Zero complaints there. I think the beer selection is potentially lacking a little bit. What I mean by this is variety in types of beer. I'd like to have seen a sour or a lighter beer than what was offered, but I did enjoy everything I tried. Just nothing i'd buy an entire case of. There was also a taco food truck that had some great dips that we had and also pretzels that were yummy. There aren't a ton of breweries out here, so fortunately what they do have is a good one in Red Crow. read more

Those garage doors are all the reasons you need to visit this new location! They only had 4 house made brews on tap ... I was craving a few more. They did have some guest taps but I felt committed to supporting the RCB brews. The IPA was my favorite! I have literally never typed that sentence in my LIFE so take it as you will. I'm just so grateful that the super hoppy IPAs of the 2000's migrated their way to a more enjoyable less IBU version in the '10's for all beer lovers. Check out their Facebook page (probably all social media) for their daily food truck options for grub. Why not 5 stars? Barstools were not the most comfy & there appeared to be more room for more tables. Place was packed and seating was limited. I'm not a beer drinker, but my friends are and they love the beer here. this review is for the food and service and atmosphere. My running club meets here for runs then to drink and eat afterwards. We never had a bad experience. The food is awesome, you order it at Red Crow and they have deal with the neighboring restaurant who brings it in thermal 'to go' bags. so you know you get hot food. I enjoy going to red crow on a weeknight. The beers are very good as is the food. On the weekends it is so loud we have to yell at each other and the reason is they allow kids and it is overrun with kids. Soooo many kids. Please think about perhaps one weekend a month be an adults only weekend. One more thing. Thanks for getting rid of the uncomfortable picnic tables. From the minute we sat at our table the service was terrible. The waitress was rude - acted like she hated being there. We wanted to do a beer flight - she told us to go up to the bar and pick instead of using a menu because the menu wasnt right - but when we went to the bar - the bartender never acknowledged us at all. We were the only people at the bar. We tried to figure out what the beers we could choose from were and saw seltzers listed as well. We asked another waitress walking by and she also acted annoyed- but said yes we could add the seltzers to the flight. We took our flight cards back to the table to give our waitress and she told us we had to take the seltzer off and we could only get it if we did an all seltzer flight. When she came back w the flights she snapped at one of our group " move your menu out of the way". Everything we asked her seemed to irritate her. She never offered to get us beers and we kept having to ask her. Unfortunately it wasnt just her - every employee we spoke to acted like they were disgusted. The manager came to our table and he was also short and very unfriendly. Wont be back. Bummer- seemed like a cool place. read more
