We definitely judged a book by its cover with this place. My fiancé and I regularly spend the day at Sar-Ko-Par and saw Jefferson's for years, but never went. Luckily we went to an event that ended at Jefferson's and were able to try a variety of their appetizers. We also found out that they have their own house made beers! If the outside had shown this was a brewery, we absolutely would have come sooner. I am a fan of their wheat, and my fiancé enjoys their IPA. We have been three times total now. Each time we are able to find a seat quickly and the service has been prompt and friendly. Sometimes we just come for appetizers. This last time I enjoyed their grilled chicken Caesar salad, while my fiancé had their chili and a dozen oysters. He had a half dozen classic and a half dozen Cajun. Highly recommend the Cajun! We love this joint for their lunch specials, it is rucked away in the corner of a strip mall. Don't let that deter you, I have never had a bad meal here! Their Wednesday $10 burger and fries deal is our go to. Seems to be a quarter pound burger, load it with pepper jack, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. Ask for a side of mayo if you are weird like me, perfect for dipping their phenomenal curly fries in! I think they are the best curly fries in town personally. Four adults and three children on Tuesday. The special is buy one adult meal and get one free kids meal. We ordered three adult meals with a lot of appetizers along with two kids meals. Take a long time to get our order. Ordered wings with sauce on the side but did not get the sauce for a long time finally need to stand up and wait for the sauce. And we did not get two free kids meals. I paid 20% tips regardless of poor service at that day and not getting two free kids meal. I liked the newly remodeled dining area with a mix of booths and tables, many TVs tuned to sports channels and 80's background music - a notch or two too loud. The original grilled chicken sandwich with choice of side ($10.99) was served 12 minutes after I ordered at the bar, where the service was friendly and attentive. The sandwich had a moist, perfectly grilled, premium chicken patty on a buttered and toasted bun with fresh veggies. I enjoyed the many side options and opted for the baked beans, which were okay. Happy hour runs Monday: ALL DAY Tues-Friday: 11AM-5PM & 8PM - Close. We ended up splitting a 15 piece order of chicken wings with sweet potato fries (which was almost too much food.) Tried Jeffersons for the first time today and really loved our experience! I didn't get photos of the meals but our food was delicious. Our waiter, Alex, did an absolutely amazing job. While he was super busy taking care of multiple tables and cleaning them up, he took care of my table just fine. My boyfriend and I shared the fried mushrooms which were hot and fresh. I had the double dipped wings with curly fries (so crispy and delicious) and he had the double dipped chicken sandwich which he loved and devoured. We will be back! read more

Stopped in to the newly opened Jefferson's in Lenexa for dinner. This place is amazing! TVs everywhere, and a fantastic menu with something for just about everyone. Hannah was our server, and she was absolutely great. Great service without being overly attentive. We tried the guacamole bacon burger, the fried oyster basket, and the fried mushrooms. The burger is on a potato bun & cooked perfectly, to a medium well, if you want it lower I think you can ask. The fire oysters and mushrooms had a similar breading, and it was flaky and crunchy, and the mushrooms were great with their homemade ranch. The beer at Jefferson's is COLD. It's probably my favorite thing about this restaurant, although there is a lot to like. The severs are quick and attentive and the food is great. I do wish the veggie burger was an Impossible Patty or something similar. A black bean burger just crumbles and falls apart when subbed for a regular meat patty. When dining at Jefferson's in Lenexa they really step up to the plate! I have yet to have a bad meal there! They are on par with their NKC location. Make sure to decorate a dollar and get the fried pickles. Or try fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks (or my personal favorite) fried jalapeños! For your entree you can't go wrong with the guacamole chicken wrap, fried pickle chicken sandwich, the philly cheesesteak or the oysters (I tried mine Cajun style.) For the sides I recommend the tots, curly fries or onion rings. Be sure to check out one of their 20 fabulous sauces as well! I use them for dipping! My favorites are Sweet N' Sassy, Hot Yaki & Turbo Charged. Make sure to polish it off with a dessert. Their best are their funnel cake fries. As usual the service is always on point! My husband and I love wings. We were really excited about trying this place. The wings were a perfect size, very well cooked and crunchy the way I like it. Unfortunately, they lacked flavor. I was really hungry and I definitely ate it all. I like that the wings come with tortilla chips or you can get a different side. My husband had a mushroom Swiss burger and that was delicious, very flavorful. The fries were a bit salty but not bad with ketchup. I will definitely return and try a different wing flavor perhaps a wet wing vs a dry wing. The service was good. The server was attentive and the people were super nice and inviting. I've been to Lawrence location and never been here before. I found this place. It sits back where u don't see it, Monday is happy hour, the bartender super nice and friendly too. Jefferson's has quickly become my number one go to place for wings. They have many different flavors with a broad spice level. My favorite so far has been the spicy garlic parm and the hot honey wings. The meat is good quality and always slightly crispy, just the way I like it. The hot honey has a sweet taste with an after taste burn. They are not too sticky considering the honey in the sauce and the sauce is thick enough to not immediately sink to the bottom. The Spicy garlic parm is also delicious. The spice level is comparable to a regular Buffalo level. Considering the placement on the scale I would have thought it would have a bit more of a kick but I have not tried anything higher on the scale yet. I also upgraded to the sweet potato fries and they did not disappoint. They were fresh and crispy and served with a delicious cinnamon dipping sauce. The tables were also very clean and I liked the amount of lighting. Some of the sports bars in the area tend to feel greasy and dark but I was pleasantly surprised that I did not feel like a ball of grease after leaving. Our waiter was really friendly and nice. We had the cheese fries, the fries tasted old and were tossed back in the frier to heat them up. The bacon cheese sauce and the "cajun" seasoning did not muz well. It was a major guy bomb and not in a food way. The room temperature ranch dressing was a nice touch. The burgers were bland and dryer than a popcorn fart. The buns were greasy, yet you had to flood the sandwich with condiments to be able to choke it down. The coleslaw was room temp also, a fine breeding ground for food poisoning. Typically you are supposed to get your appetizer first, not all at once. We are still waiting for our server so that we can pay our bill and run line hell. A good place to go to if you do not want to carry on a conversation, music is loud enough you cannot hear the person across the table, but you can hear the bartender yuck it up with her buddies.
