    Bowling

This pinstripes location has so much potential however, it is in need of either a management chain or more security, and a staff that cares. I've been here multiple times. My last two visits really inspired me to leave a review. I went recently after Thanksgiving during the week of the holiday, and naturally it was busy, because of course, people were there with their families we had a lane reserved. So the experience then was a little bit more put together. The lines for food and the bar was ridiculous. They need two bartenders on the bowling side because the lines get so backed up. I went last week the first week of December, so it wasn't as busy. There was a two hour wait on bowling. Because we live 10 minutes away the host, let us know that she would give us a call instead of having to wait at the bowling alley for two hours so our wait was at home so It wasn't terrible . They ended up calling us in only an hour. The lane we were at was surrounded by kids. On a Saturday night after 9 o'clock they really need to make the bowling alley and the bar 21 and up because the amount of kids that are in there Unsupervised is ridiculous. Or at least make sure that all parties with small kids are out of bowling area. We literally could not bowl because the party next to us had five small kids that were running in between four lanes. I had to physically remove their child ( she coukdnt have been more than 3... so where was her mom ) from the ball pit so one of the balls coming out of the machine did not reject and hit her in the face. Kids were everywhere. I don't mind kids. I work with kids, but unchaperoned kids, especially in the toddler to elementary school age should not be left with irresponsible adults and adults should be removed from the bowling alley, because no one else was able to enjoy their selves in the 2 lanes to the left and right of them. I did ask a staff member I saw for someone in management so that we could possibly get more time on our bowling because with the kids running everywhere that wasn't even with our party it was almost impossible to bowl. Management never came. I asked someone else still cannot find anyone to help. It was a waste of money . Save this thing to do is come in the week during the school year where there's probably less kids but on the weekends, I would not recommend it unless you come really early or really late. Upside is the drinks are pretty good they have music playing in the background . They do have a bar special. The food menu is a little high in my opinion. Especially for the way it takes to get your food.

This is our local bowling alley so I can confidently say that the experience depends on what time of day you show up and how busy they are. If there's low volume, it's easy to get everything you need. Today we came in and there were at least 5 private parties happening so we got the very last open lane. And guess what...no one disclosed that it was the broken lane (#23 if you're curious). The machine constantly misread the number of pins, the mechanism that resets between bowls never picked up the front pin so it always got swept away if the bowler didn't hit it, and the bumpers didn't work. A mechanic was called to manually set our bumpers but he was unable to get it to work either so my 3yo barely hit anything. As if the lane was uneven or curved, even using the little plastic guide tool, her balls constantly curved off path and ended up in the gutter. Anyhoo, it wasn't a great day for the alley but it's still a nice facility and the staff were working hard and responsive.

We came on an early Sunday morning it wasn't too many people. Parking was available for everyone. We come here all the time. We had a little event my sister put together. Bowling was about $8 for an hour on a Sunday not including shoe rentals. Place was clean but the bathroom smelled horrific. The only thing that really bothered me was to buy a cup of water it was $2.50 for a cup of water. We spent our money on pitchers of beers, food, shoes and a game even at the arcade and to be told it costs $2.50 for the cup was shocking. And this was for my 1 year old. We were leaving and parking was so full people were parking at a near by establishment. The music playing was great and the food was okay.

I was in the mood for something good to eat, and I knew I really had to have something good that would satisfy my cravings. I needed hearty, seasoned, a good portion size, and great service. As such, I ended up at The Italian Oven Restaurant, and I am so happy I did. This time, my server was Sarah, and Sarah was amazing. She was so peasant and attentive to the needs of the table. Sarah ensured we didn't want for anything, allowed us time to review the menu, and shared her insights on the new specialty menu items. Thanks to Sarah I ended up getting the Cheese Tortellini with Buffalo Chicken. Let me explain! I received the specialty menu, and my eyes immediately went to the Cheese Tortellini with Buffalo Chicken. I love Cheese Tortellini and I loveeeeeeeee Buffalo Chicken. Seeing them both together truly captivated me. Sarah advised that it has had nothing but good reviews, so I was sold and had to have it. The Cheese Tortellini with Buffalo Chicken was exactly what I needed. It was well seasoned, hearty, a great portion size, and best of all, it warmed my soul bite after bite. Anddddddddd, of course, I had pounds of fresh Parmesan cheese shredded on top of it. Ummmmmmm!!! This was exactly what I needed, and I must admit, I need it again this week!!!! If you are in the Stockbridge area and in need of something that pleases the soul, make time for The Italian Oven Restaurant asap.

Not huge, but two or three people could enjoy. (6 slices cut) I wanted to try something different so we got two and boxed the rest. Shelby greeted and seated us, and although she lacked a little knowledge on the beer menu, she made up for that with a trip to the bar to investigate our questions on sour beer, and came back with two excellent samples! We settled on a Dr. Robot and the Charcut-a-pie. I loved the toppings and balsamic drizzle. Goat cheese and arugula just go together. A little honey and I was in heaven! The crust on this one was a little well done, which disappointed but, the overall flavor was on point. Next, we sampled the Spicy Italian. I'm usually pretty good with spicy things, and while this was no exception, it did have both of us in a small sweat! If you are averse to spicy, stick with something else. This crust was also cooked and not over done. I'm not sure what McDonoughs' obsession is with vaults, but it seems to be a recurring theme around the square. You'll find vaults or at least doors that look like vaults all over. The rest of the decor inside and outside was well done. Exposed brick gives it immediate rustic charm, while black floors, raw wood art, and leather stools wrap the package nicely. I definitely like their lighting! Oversized bulbs hung around the pizza oven bar (which you can sit at if there's space) and giant hoop rings finish the rest of the space. It isn't that glaring light that spotlights your table, it's just a nice warm ambient light that makes you wanna pour a vintage red into a wine glass over and over. Oh! I almost forgot, they do have an outdoor patio up front, so on those less humid days and nights, I'll definitely be hanging out there!
