First of all, the actual pool techs do a wonderful job. The issue comes with service. I'm very much a third strike person. The management is subpar at best. I felt cheated when I needed maintenance. My new pool service was able to fix my pool issue for half the cost. This company will try to sell you unneeded equipment. Beware. read more

Could not be more happy that we switched from pinch a penny. Evidently they emailed us that our pump was broken so for months we had been paying the top tier price and our pool wasn't very cleaned. After they were very rude on the phone, we decided to switch companies. Within 2 days, a new company came out and completely cleaned our pool despite the pump not working. They will now replace the pump for us. So clearly the pump not working was excuse for a lazy pool company to get away with just playing around with chemicals. Wow just wow! read more

Upon going out to my car, I discovered I locked my key IN my car...thank goodness Matt was just getting off work & offered to take me home to pick up my spare key! Our first tech would say he cleaned the pool and never even went in our backyard. Second tech did well for s while but then got lax n didn't even try to do a good job cleaning. When we began our pool equipment (replacement) research nearly 1 year ago, Rick Aspray, the franchise owner, took the time to explain to me numerous options. What truly impressed me was that he not only worked the floor of his own store like all of his employees, but that he had no idea whether I was truly going to be purchasing with his store or not; however, he still took the time to pass me as much information as he could. Nearly 1 year later, after a moderate amount of research in advance of our dual pool pump system potentially failing, one of them did exactly that and forced us to make a purchase decision. Rick sent his lead technician, Brad, to survey our equipment and help us by providing us no-nonsense options from basic replacement of the same equipment, to upgrades in pumps and automation. After becoming familiar with all of the equipment, as well as the competition, my wife and I found that Rick and his team were not only more competitive in pricing, but also much better with responsiveness and knowledge. We decided to replace all of our old equipment along with upgrading to include automation. Technicians Brad and Brett came out for the day with Rick coming in for most of the day to assist his technicians and also install/program the full automation package. Rick stayed until dark while ensuring all of our questions were answered and the entire system was programmed and functioning properly. Rick and his team were impressive, not only with all of the communication that we had weeks prior to our equipment installation, but also with the level of care and quality workmanship that was displayed during this full-day re-plumbing and equipment installation project. I truly got the feeling that the way I was treated by not only the technicians, but by the owner, was a systemic and difficult-to-find business approach that too many companies have lost sight of now-a-days...taking care of the customer that brings business through the front door. Although not every experience is going to be the same with any company or any company employee, stemming from multiple sometimes unpredictable factors; however, I'm quite comfortable in believing that a recommendation to visit and give this team an opportunity to prove their worth to you would be time well spent! This is just my opinion so take it as it is. Just fired them for what they claim they didn't do. Asked an employee to get a pipe fixed. It was screwed up and now our auto cleaner doesn't work. They said no one came out there so I guess the 'ghost pool man" did it in the middle of the night. I told them I'd post this on social media and he had the nerve to say I'd hear from his lawyers. What a joke. Just admit it and fix it or pay thousands in legal fees you can't afford. The funny part is I can. All I want is some integrity but I guess that's what being a veteran taught me. I had a 6-month old StaRite Duramax pump quit working just 5 days before a planned week long trip. Brad came out to inspect on a Friday and determined the drive had failed. We thought for sure it would have to be replaced after our vacation, but on Monday Brad showed up with a new drive and fixed it under warranty. Was very relieved to have it fixed before our trip. I live and New Tampa and my family and lost everything in a fire. The only thing that didn't have to be rebuilt was the pool. We have been their customers for years and have done everything they told us to do to maintain the pool. We even purchased a cover from them to keep construction debris out of the pool. We went there the other day to find it completely green. Note: This only happened when they instructed us to do something different than they had in previous weeks, but did I complain. No. We didn't want to see the pool surface ruined, so we asked them for help and to handle the pool maintenance. Susan (an owner) tells us that because they have to move the cover they won't do what we requested. Keep in mind this is a light weight mesh cover that has no weight. A small child could pull it back. Susan tells me they do 100's of pools and they are in and out and 12 minutes and just cant take the time to help us out. Wow! Most people do the right thing for the right reasons. Another thing of note. When I came to check the pool after they left, instead of going around to the back gate as requested, they pushed down the temporary fencing that was there to keep kids from getting hurt. I strongly consider you use another pool service. read more
