Yum!! That's the word that sums up my experience at Pinchers. What do yall know about the 2 for 1 drink specials? I had the red sangrias. Yum!! For my meal I got the small portion of the grilled shrimp. You get about 8 shrimps. They are a decent size. But I will get the full portion next time for sure. For my sides I had mashed potatoes and Cole Slaw. The Cole slaw was really good. The mashed potatoes not so much. They were lukewarm which made it hard to eat. I could have sent them back but decided not to. Next time I'm doubling up on that slaw. lol. My bestie got a half order of Raw Oysters. She sucked them down. Enjoyed them. Pincher's has the perfect laid-back, ocean-meets-Margaritaville vibe. We ate in the open-air area, which made the experience even better--casual, breezy, and fun. The service was absolutely excellent. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, and the manager even stopped by our table to make sure we were enjoying our meal, which is always appreciated. The 2-for-1 drinks all day, every day was a great (and unexpected!) bonus. The only suggestion I'd offer is to add a few more gluten-free options, such as gluten-free buns for sandwiches or corn tortillas for tacos. This is definitely a go to if you're in the Wesley chapel area. Seafood at reasonable prices. They have stone crab claws seasonally and I was lucky that they were still in stock on a Saturday night. I got 4 large claws with 2 sides and the rest of the table got king crab legs. Everything was delicious but the king crab needed some scissors -which the restaurant didn't have - since it was very pokey. They have 2 for 1 selected alcoholic drinks all day and night. I highly recommend trying a cup of clam chowder if you like clams. Additionally, the margaritas are always buy one, get one (BOGO), making it a fantastic place to enjoy drinks with friends. The restaurant has an old Key West town ambiance, complete with numerous wooden signs and faux fish on the walls, yet it is well-maintained. We used to come here all the time but they have built so many new restaurants in our area that we have been trying those. We were there on a Friday evening and they were not very busy but we gave our number to be texted in about 20-25 minutes to be seated. A couple came up a few minutes after us and did the same. I had to use the restroom so they said sure. As I walked through the restaurant there was a lot of open seating. I do enjoy Pinchers and the ocean ambiance. I went back outside and sat down next to my husband and told him there were a lot of open tables. As we were discussing this the couple who had come after us were called up to be seated. I immediately went to the hostess station to find out why. She apologized and started to seat us. I asked why the wait if tables were available and she said they didn't want to pressure the cooks in the kitchen. Ok, so we sit down already disappointed and our server Stephanie came to wait on us. She was the only good thing about the experience. She gave the crab dip on the house. As I said we have been to Pinchers countless times in the past and the was always good. It's been a couple years and I am not sure what happened! The crab dip was mediocre, not a lot of crab. I had the ahi tuna which was disappointing. I can't put my finger on it but it had a strange texture, not very tasty and just overall bad quality. I also ordered the house cut fries and they were good but not awesome like before. We came here for dinner on a Sunday and this was my first time visiting pinchers. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by the hostess and sat down immediately without reservation. We started off with the blue crab and cheese dip that came with tricolor tortilla chips, it was delicious. I give it a 8 out of 10 for entrées. I had the fried grouper with their house fries and broccoli. I give it an 7.5/10. we also did their claw appetizer that was really good,8/10. For other entrées we did the blue crab clusters. I found them to be quite oily personally but the flavor was still good. 6/10. The star of the show was definitely the Maryland blue crabs that come out whole with an extra LS bay rub, that was absolutely a 10 out of 10 perfectly steamed. Only downfall is there no bundle deals, only per crab and I believe the price point for those were $11 per crap for the extra large. Overall, a great spot if you love crab and they also have great deals on drinks throughout the day every day. We had their bogo house margaritas 7/10.? This was my second time at Pinchers & loved the experience. Our server, Jake was pleasant & made our experience awesome. Had oysters for our appetizer's and it did not disappoint. A fun and casual seafood restaurant. Live music was playing, which was a nice surprise. Wait staff are friendly! We ordered the crab rangoon, chowder soups, and Mussels Marinara. My partner enjoyed his entree thoroughly. Though we both loved the appetizer and soups, I didn't love my mussels marinara. To be fair, I think I received a generous amount of mussels which I loved. Came here for the seafood tower. Ordered the lil chill and it was delicious and tasted fresh. We also tried the gator bites. I have never tasted alligator meat before and it was something I wanted to try visiting Florida. The meat tasted like popcorn chicken. A Taiwanese snack consisting of fried chicken cut into small pieces. The meat was tender and juicy but gator meat seems chewier compared to chicken. They had drink specials. 2 for 1 deals on draft beers, house margaritas and sangrias. There were other selections too but we focused on the sangria and margaritas. The lil chill was a really good deal for $60 plus tip. For the size of the tower in California it would easily be over $100 for a seafood tower. We were surprised at the price. Other than that, the service was a tad bit slow and our waiter would disappear and we wouldn't be able to find her. She did help us in the end just not right away. A good choice for family-friendly outing. The restaurant is kid-friendly with paper lining on the table where they can draw. They also give you pencils and coloring sheets. The food is good, nothing extraordinary and fair priced. The only thing a bit pricey was the crab cake for $20, you get ONE. Margaritas at $2 was a nice surprise but keylime pie wasn't worth it. Kids eat for free with adult entree of $15+ is great. Service was a hit slow and I had to remind the waiter of a few things. Menu is extensive and can feel a tad overwhelming. read more

I haven't been to Pinchers in such a long time due to new restaurants popping up every day in Wesley Chapel. It's unfortunate that my first time back in over a year was such a disappointment. Not only were the prices for casual seafood dining markedly increased, the food was not good! I decided to order the $40 whole fried snapper meal. Our server stated that it was feed two persons. That should have been my red flag. It could not feed two, it barely fed one because it was soooo overcooked and dry that I can barely pick through an already bony-type fish. I also received 10 steak fries, so I assume the hubs and I would share 5 fries each. What a disappointment! We opted to order the blackened grouper as the second dish since we were definitely misguided. The grouper looked good but it tasted as though it was half frozen when they attempted to add the blackened seasoning. There was no flavor passed the surface, it tasted more like water. Ughhh two meals?!!?! I am giving 2.5 stars for the 2 for 1 drink specials, which would probably be how I can patronize in the future, but I should have waited the 45mins at Noble Crust because it is more bang for your buck and very delicious than what I received at Pinchers waiting 15mins. read more

We ordered a cup of corn and crab chowder, the 8oz Stripe Bass with a side of coleslaw and garlic bread, andTony's Big Fish Sandwich. We had to send back the striped bass because it wasn't hard enough but when they returned it it was hot and really delicious . And it came with this spicy sauce that was out of sight! For the most part the food came out fresh, hot, and delicious! Britt was a wonderful server! She was so friendly, attentive, and she really knew the menu! I've been to Pinchers a few times, both in Wesley Chapel and in Sarasota. I've even reviewed them before and gave them five stars for their blue crabs and service. The service is still good, but wow these crabs were really bad! Look at my pictures! We sent back three, but really all of them were borderline bad. I'm pretty sure they reheated, already cooked crabs. They had some already cooked crabs under glass in the front of the restaurant, and I'm pretty sure those are what we were served. They served the crabs really fast after we ordered, and the crabs were hot, but not steaming hot like they were just cooked. I was so disappointed I called the Pinchers main office to speak to someone. They said someone would call me back, but never did. We've had good crabs, and bad crabs at Pinchers in the past. We have never had crabs THIS bad. The other times we were there off season, so I gave them a pass. This time, it was in July, and we called ahead to make sure they got a new delivery of blue crabs that day. They get new deliveries on Tuesday and Friday. We were there on Tuesday night. These crabs smelled fishy. Crabs aren't supposed to smell fishy. We're originally from Maryland and I know crabs. They should be ashamed to serve these. I feel ripped off and I was really looking forward to getting blue crabs, as Pinchers is one of the few places in the area that offer them. read more

They got very good customer base. The restaurant is 80% pack in the early dinner hour. We got two items from happy hour, we have the oysters and the medium neck clam. Both dishes was fresh and delicious. My wife have fish and chips. The fish is in good large piece. It also has crispy coating. It is good dish with the fries. I have the crab cake. I think the crab cake is below average. I think it has too much dough than crab meat. It do come with string beans and rice. The side dish is a choice from menu. Overall experience is good. We came here for dinner just before 6 PM on a weekday with two children in tow. Our server, Kim was wonderful! After spreading brown paper protection over the table top, she handed crayons and paper to the kids to occupy them. Covered, sturdy, child-size water cups were supplied as well! The children were enthralled with the mounted fish and fresh catch behind the glass up front! Such interesting, photographic decor! Kim shared that it was Happy Hour "two for one" drink specials with small bites. I ordered the house wine which was delicious. My Grouper Sandwich meal was excellent - seasoned and grilled perfectly, and served hot. I got vegetables on the side which were very good too. Note that kids eat free (such as deal!) if the adult spends over ~ $15 on an entree (not difficult to do). Their meals were enough to feed them for a couple days!
