This is my ultimate favorite nursery to visit. My daughter & I found this lovely spot about 3 years ago & would visit periodically. Finally moving to the area, since it had been a while, I paid a visit over the weekend & to my delight it was even more beautiful. Amazing job revamping the place. It was so nice to see so many more selections of the many varieties of plants they carry. But I have to say my favorite part of this visit was chatting with Lily in the succulent section. I was taken away with the variety, how healthy & simply beautiful they all looked. I could spend hours here, walking thru and enjoying it all. Just move to Florida and needed some plants. I might add that we like to buy local. After a month my leafy plant developed an issue. When I returned to this family run business to get some advice they did not treat me with respect. They do not stand behind their plants after 7 days. It is virtually inpossible to develop problem within 7 days. So it is back to a nursery that will guarantee their house and outdoor plants passed 7 days. So buyer beware. It is not always a good idea to buy from a business that only stands behind their products 7 days. Extremely dissapointed. read more

I am concerned about the owners public comments on social media shaming, cursing and name calling parents, the same people this business serves. If a local business owner is comfortable cursing and name calling online, this greatly deflects from their business credibility. As a business owner in a small town, there's an opportunity to voice yourselves with poise and compassion, public name calling and shaming are wrong and don't reflect well on a business. read more

The indoor plants we bought were infested with bugs and died. Gave them another chance, since we are new to this area and want to support local small business. The owner was rude, the plants were pitiful. We went to Tropic Stop and Edward Miller and loaded up on lush, beautiful, HEALTHY, plants and much better prices. Bye Pinders.... done! read more

This is a beautiful nursery with a nice selection of plants. Interaction with staff, however was less than desirable. After being insulted by a young lady about our knowledge of gardening, we had a less than lackluster experience with the owner who acted as though we were doing her a favor by making a purchase. Shame on us for not contacting local competition to discover the price paid was a third more! read more

Stopped by today to look for plants/trees for our new patio. We have had COVID and are fully vaccinated. My husband has a hard time wearing masks because of breathing issues. The staff was rude and when my husband explained our situation, he was told, "you could be lying to us." We were outside and there weren't many people there. Not difficult to stay 6 feet apart . . . we won't be going back. We'll give our business to another nursery. read more

I go here regularly and the selection is nice. However, two stars because your plants will have a LOT of bugs. I purchased three Calatheas in May 2020 and they are all dead due to spider mites infestation (they are popular so I can easily replace them from any garden center or grocery store - which is why I let them perish). I went today (Sept 19 2020) and their plants have a huge aphid infestation. The stems were covered in bright orange bugs. I've got over 100 houseplants so I know how to deal with pest pressures, but if you're a novice, I'd steer clear of this place. Again, they've got a great selection, but you are risking an infestation of your other houseplants if you integrate them together. I purchased 3 plants today and they're all in quarantine because they're covered with spider mites. read more

Pinders has a wonderful variety of plants of every kind. I keep coming back because of this. Finally am having to say something because honestly every time I visit I leave feeling frustrated. Always some kind of issue at checkout resulting in it taking forever. And the vibe about masks is odd. I'm happy to wear one and completely understand, but the overbearing attitude is wearing me down. Not sure the plants are worth it anymore. read more

We were run out because of we didn't have a mask. Due to medical issues, I can't wear one. Was very willing to observe social distance but, it didn't matter. Not only we're we told to leave, the manager was very hostile with her demands to leave immediately. These people will turn on you in an instant in a very aggressive manner. Save your patronage and go to another business nearby that needs your business and appreciate your business . These people are crazily aggressive and hostile. read more

One of my favorite nurseries in Martin County. They always have amazing seasonal plants and wonderful classes too.

My husband and I were discriminated against and treated extremely rudely at this establishment. When my husband left a negative review, they finally responded a month and a half later, not to apologize, but to justify why they were rude, disrespectful, and discriminatory. They accused us of being rude and responded as if we were lying about the interaction the initial review was left about. They then banned and blocked my husband from the page and then proceeded to put out a post claiming they are the victim as if to reclaim the moral high ground and reframe what happened. We read your post and know in your response you were addressing us directly with the toddler comment. Obviously my husbands initial review had a profound effect on you enough to come out and make a public statement about it defending your rude, racist, disrespectful, and discriminatory actions. He did not mince his words in his initial review and neither will I. The ethics, ideology, belief, and business practices of this establishment is beyond abhorrent and a clear light has been shined on this. I do not recommend this business in any way shape or form nor can I or will I ever support anyone or any business who discriminates on others. read more

I took a drive over to this nursery based on the strength of the reviews. I was completely satisfied with the selection of shrubs, ground covers -- sun and shade options and the service provided. Bought 10 shrubs and I'm going back tomorrow morning to get more. Need I say more? read more

We've purchased several plants from Pinders. The place doesn't look like much from the street, but they have such a variety. The people are very knowledgable and they'll tell you if something won't work in your yard due to sun exposure or other factors even if it means they don't make the sale. We just purchased a 20 ft rainbow eucalyptus for $149 and they will deliver and plant it for us too. Or we could have done it ourselves. The last time we were there we ran into a world authority on certain types of plants and he was so impressed with their selection that he bought some rare types to use in his lectures. That's so cool! Great prices, great knowledge, helpful, great variety. I can't say enough about the place. read more

Pinders Nursery has great Christmas trees! They keep them watered in buckets and name each one. There trees come from North Carolina all Fraser fur trees. We paid $69 for 7-8 foot tree. It is nice to support a local nursery! Merry Christmas! read more

Wonderful selection of plants but a bit overpriced. The staff tries to be helpful but if something is not tagged with a price (Fountains,pots etc ) they can't help. And they'll take your phone number but nobody ever calls with the information read more

Best Christmas trees in Martin County! Very healthy and they last from Thanksgiving til New Year's. Only thing that could be better is the tallest trees they have this year are only 10'. Would like 12'. Customer service is always superior here. Skip the chain hardware stores. A much nicer holiday experience and your tree will stay fresh. This is the 5th year in a row we bought our tree here and Pinder's has never disappointed us. Price for a 9-10' full tree was $84 today. They go up to $109 for the fullest ones. I am quite sad because I loved this nursery until now. I had a question about a plant that I had purchased there and was treated rudely by the manager. She didn't listen to anything I said and just kept telling me that I was wrong in my assessment. She didn't see the plant and would not listen to any of my comments. I asked her to give other options of vines or plants that might grow well in an area and she would not even answer the question. I have purchased A LOT from this nursery but won't be going back. I went from their nursery to another and had my plant diagnosed in minutes. The staff listened and knew exactly the issue, it was diseased and needed to be removed immediately. It wasn't root bound as Pinders kept insisting. I will not be going back to Pinders. read more

The staff is very helpful and know their plants. We went looking for plants for a privacy hedge, and an employee walked around with us and showed us suitable plants after asking us about what sort of growing conditions we have and what sort of coverage we desired. I also plant for butterflies and hummingbirds, and they are very knowledgeable in what plants attract what species. They also have native plants, the pink muhly grass we purchased this spring is in bloom and gorgeous! read more
