Walking in here you can feel the tension wash off. The fireplace has a burns quote on it, and there is a scrabble set and other board games if you have had enough of watching the Atlantic Ocean out the windows. There are no televisions, there is no wi-fi, The proprietor makes coffee in the morning. And she will loan you lobster forks and crackers if you forget to get your lobsters cracked at the pound.

Our unexpected room, the "Honeymoon" suite, provided us with a slight chuckle given we are in our Thirty-First Honeymoon Season and still counting. The room open, airy, and comfort. Featuring with 5 large bay windows overlooking the main street and down toward Old Orchard Beach. Our 31st Honeymoon included a private bathroom, two upholstered chairs, an arm chair and a "fainting chaise" (my favorite), and an oak desk for my nerdy internet access. There are two guest houses, the Main Inn and Adjacent Cottage. Both quaint and appear built by craftsmen of the early 1900's. Beautiful oak floors and stairs with the most interesting mid-stair nook with oval stained glass. Outside: Away from the hustle and bustle of the Beach, but close enough to walk down to. On premise are groupings of Adirondack chairs, a shaded gazebo, a modern heated in-ground pool, and my favorite the wide wrap-around porch with french doors to the dining room. Make sure you pay a visit to their vintage hand-crafted duel rocking chair and center table; very relaxing. Breakfast: Served continental family style with a personal touch; such as, homemade baked goods, and stovetop specialties. On our first morning: Tea, delicious Coffee, muffins, fresh fruit salad, DIY toast, yogurt, and the most delicious scrambled egg platter with sausage and vegetables including sweet potato. "Chef" Nancy said she cooks gluten free for herself and is always willing to accommodate dietary needs. Our second morning, Stuffed French Toast topped with fresh fruit and a side of crispy bacon. The rooms & bathrooms were tidy and well kept, and both pool and bath towels were provided for us during our stay! We lost electricity for 7 hrs during one of the days and Mike would not talk to us directly, he lied to us numerous times about a car accident that never happened. I called the town ELEC company and there were no reports of any at all. Then he told his two man crew who did come back to work to tell us they would have itnon any minute. 4 hrs later we were ready to leave this dump. So finally when the lights came on he told his people to lie to us yet again and say they shit the wrong property off . What a joke this was. All the dishes and silverware was disgustingly dirty and sticky . I spent my vacation skimming the pool because the owner was getting drunk and losing control over the rest of the property . Don't let them fool you, there is NO useable playground and the rotted wood that is below the slide has holes in it and the sand had dog and cat crap in it . There is no arcade like his advertising says . Just disgusted . But took a thousand pics to show all the code violations and to have for proof. My 11 year old was in the pool and discovered a Cut ELEC wire sticking out of the water being held by a Brick . But of course he was too busy sitting in his bedroom (drinking and drugging as we were told he does everyday and night by all the neighbors ) to ask about this wires . When he finally came to our door 3 days after arrival he was hammered and slurring all his speech. I have proof of everything I'm saying since I took video and pics of this crap hole . Do your family a favor and go somewhere else . Then this guy says he remembers us from last year which is a riot since we've NEVER even heard of this place but he claims he remembers us very well. I wouldn't let him pay us to come back Stay away !!!!

The manager was EXTREMELY helpful and friendly - even accommodating us on our late check in. She asked we simply knock on her door when we got in (even if it meant waking her). We also could check ourselves in and do paperwork the next day if necessary. I would definitely return, and bring the family. Great stay!

I stay in a studio that is features a well-furnished kitchen. Beds are comfortable as are the armchairs, which provide a great spot for reading. Porches facing the beach and the town are great for relaxing and listening to the sound of the ocean or watching people heading to the beach. The location can't be beat--steps away from a beautiful sandy beach and a very short walk from all of the restaurants and shops in this charming little town. Mary and Judi are welcoming hosts who really care about the comfort of their guests. I highly recommend this place!
