Party of 3 late morning; we call it blunch. It was especially good today, must note. Our server rocked it! She was solo and handled it like a Rockstar. The service wasn't speedy but I found it reasonable. She comped us our drinks - excellent iced teas, nice and strong with plenty of fresh lemon. That was a sweet gesture and surprised me because we were cool with the service. The food... my poached eggs were perfect. The home fries were crisp out and soft in with a nice balance of seasoning, including chopped onions - done right. The sausage links were perfecto. Another of my party of 3 loved her pancakes - fluffy delights, scrambled eggs prepared exactly how she ordered, sme with the crispy bacon. Last up, Irish eggs bene - she ate both. Who does that?! Ha. After an awful overnight shift, it was time to eat and have a drink. Went here with coworkers, whom were also in desperate need to unwind. The breakfast selection is pretty good here. The choice this visit was sausage and biscuits (which were yummy being smothered with gravy), with a cup of baked beans and eggs over easy. It was a nice portion for the price, satisfied without feeling like over-eating. Had a cup of coffee (limited to one, it was time to go to sleep soon-ish) and a glass of Sam Adams with breakfast. This is my favorite detail, anyplace that serves at 8 in the morning is good in my book! Yay night shift! I swear we're not alcoholics, just on a different time schedule from you. We love Pine St Eatery! Stopped by for a mid-morning breakfast today. The Spanish Omelette was delicious, with savory home fries and buttery wheat toast on the side. Jeff P really wrote a great review. BUT.... If you're a family with kids under 7, or people over the age of 55, go into the 'restaurant' side (the right side of the building) to eat. For everyone in between, don't waste your time on that side. Yes, same food, etc, but not the same atmosphere. The left side (the bar side) has ample eating room.. 7 or 8 good sized tables along with a nice long bar. The TV is always on, and the regulars are friendly. It's darker, quieter, and much more relaxing. Food... OMG... Try the french fries. Seriously. Their burgers are really excellent! Also, when they have their corned beef and cabbage, get it.. it's really great! This is a great little local hang out. Super food, the wait staff is usually great (they're colorful, so at times I've seen them be grumpy... but not obnoxiously so) the food is really good, especially for the price, and it's a nice night away from the kitchen. read more

If I said these were the worst French fries I've ever tried, I wouldn't be lying. They were dried out and dead, and tasted mostly like slightly burnt oil. The onion rings tasted good, but it seemed pretty pricey for a portion of 6 rings. I had a half-pound burger with bleu cheese; it a good size, but it was tasteless. I took a risk and ordered the Special, Baked Blueberry French Toast. Unless you are a big fan of blueberries, and French Toast, and cake, get something else. Another member of our party ordered the same. I am in the doghouse for suggesting the special. Mom didn't take her left overs home. This shop hopes to be a local diner, but they are just not quite that. It seems to have a pretty good customer base as every other time I have been past the lot it was full of cars, but today it was a bit light it being a holiday and all. It's very senior friendly with a 15% senior discount as well as a special senior menu. They must be very proud of their senior menu as it get's the best placement when you enter the caf. When I walked in I saw two signs, one was wait to be seated, and the second was the senior menu. It wasn't until after a few minutes of searching that I was able to spot the specials board. It's not that it's well hidden, it's just not right out front. The Pine Street Eatery does breakfast and lunch for sure (could be they do a dinner menu as well, but since it was breakfast time I was focused on the breakfast portion of the menu.) The dessert options looked pretty good, cheesecake, deep fried cheesecake, puddings and an apple crisp. Seemed okay, but since it was breakfast I wasn't able to peak over at other plates to see if they desserts where any good or not. They do have a full bar available as well, I think that's where the "we want to be a local diner" and reality seem to go different directions. Oh that and the blue hair friendliness. Those two things pretty much make you not exactly a local diner. Maybe it's because if the neighborhood I grew up in. It wasn't exactly the sort of place where folks typically woke up and had a beer with their oatmeal. (A few might have snuck a bit of vodka into their tomato or orange juice, but it was done discreetly. And a mimosa was just way to exotic for Middle America.) So you toss a full bar and senior discounts into the mix and you aint a local diner anymore. (Perhaps that's why they call themselves an Eatery?) The breakfast menu was standard. Aside from a couple of steak and egg options (and do you really need more than one kind of steak choice at breakfast time? I would hope that just steak would be enough to satisfy the need.) the rest of the menu was what you would expect. There were no exotic pancakes or crepes; heck there wasn't even a biscuit and gravy option on the menu. Probably just as well. I would have been tempted to order it, and then I would have been all annoyed for the rest of the day. Sawmill gravy when it's done right is wonderful, but way too often it's just done badly and you taste the raw flour in the gravy and not the sausagey goodness that makes it the King of breakfast. Back to the review at hand; I got one of the specials for the day: bacon, tomato, and cheese omelet. Eventually it arrived, yeah the service was just a might bit slow, not slow enough that I had go look for my server, but slow enough that it was noticeable. This was on a day that shop was only half full, I shudder to think what the service is like when the place is full, but I would hope they have a larger wait staff in place. The omelet looked good, it was stuffed with bacon and had a large amount of tomatoes and cheese over the top of it. The hash browns, well maybe they were home fries, where not as good. They were clearly not home made and were cold when they arrived. So I plunged into the omelet and chowed down. When I was about half way thru the omelet it hit me, the eggs where loaded with stuff, but there was really no taste to it. It didn't taste bad, it just didn't taste like, well an omelet with bacon and tomatoes. So it was an okay breakfast and it was cheap. Ive eaten here many times trying to give them chance after chance but every single Time they seem to disappoint even with something as basic as eggs. The owner is worse than the food if that's possible she's too busy worrying about her parking lot than how her restaurant is being run and about her customers getting what they ordered. Our 3-person group had a restaurant.com certificate and my dad told us the breakfast was very good the time or two he had been there, so on a rainy night we decided to try it for dinner. Once we were seated, the first thing I noticed was how QUIET the place was. We were there a little early (about 5 or 5:30), but even with a couple other tables being used there was almost NO sounds. No cooking in the background, no chatter, no TV, nothing. It was a little off-putting! Our waitress seemed none too happy to be working, but I can understand that, especially on the chilly, rainy night. BUT she never noticed that we were one utensil/napkin set short. (We didn't end up needing the silverware but the napkin would have been nice.) She took our drink order, which seemed to take much longer than it should have to get back to us. We all tried the local root beer, and it was pretty good! Very mild and not too sweet. We got onion rings as an appetizer, and while they were nice and hot and pretty crispy, the batter could use a lot more seasoning, even if it was just salt. We asked for horseradish sauce with the onion rings, but it did not arrive until we were 2 onion rings away from being done (which, may I add, didn't take long, as there were only about 8 or 9 onion rings total). The "horseradish sauce" was HORRIBLE. It just tasted like sour cream with some red peppers mixed in. And not fresh peppers, either. My dad enjoyed his salad, which had fresh cucumbers, tomato, and a variety of lettuce. My friend got the "jambalaya" and we are VERY sure it was canned. It tasted like slightly spicy tomato water with overcooked rice and dry chicken. For the entree, I ordered a burger that came with BBQ sauce, peppers, and onions. I could not taste the BBQ sauce at all, though I could clearly see it. Very few onion pieces, and the peppers again didn't taste fresh. The pickle was the only thing that really had FLAVOR, and it was obviously out of a jar. The bun was nice, but the bottom was already soggy with grease when I got it. My friend got the burger with bleu cheese, bacon, and swiss. Again, a real lack of flavor. We could not tell there was bleu cheese on it at all, and the bacon seemed to be leftover from breakfast. The burgers themselves had no flavor whatsoever - not even salt - and looked premade or frozen. Again, soggy with grease, and half the lettuce was soggy and wilted. My dad got the fish and chips, and enjoyed it. He said the tartar sauce was "a little weak" but overall okay. I tried a bite of fish and spit it out, but he was happy and his potion sizes looked good. We all had the french fries, and they were obviously frozen. They were very soggy, flavorless, and cold. My friend looked through the "full bar" menu and noted that there were no local beers, and rather just a selection of large-scale production beers. I would definitely not try The Pine Street Eatery again, and am honestly thinking of calling up Restaurant Impossible about them to help them out. We were very disappointed in what we had heard was a nice local place. Our bill for the three of us was $42 before our coupon, and I didn't feel it was worth that at all. read more

I am a lover of breffix joints , LOVE diners... And we were out for breakfast... My wife's job takes her past the PSE and she said she'd seen mostly elderly folks going in & out which, to us suggests a few things; - prices are reasonable - food is not too 'unique' for breakfast (and typical breakfast cuisine was our preference this day) - quality is likely decent... Pine St Eatery was all these things. Food was very well cooked (home fries not under cooked old baked potatoes from last night's dinner menu... Or didnt TASTE it anyway).. In fact they use seasoning on them (maybe Lawry's?) which was DELICIOUS.. Coffee kept flowing until we said stop Staff was very friendly except for one older waitress who kept ignoring my questions... Or so I thought until i realized watching her trying to hear another waitress. Apparently she was hard of hearing oops haha Our breakfasts, sides of toast, bottomless coffees and a side beverage all totalled $22. Not bad at all for what was either a home cooked tasting meal or one heck of a good knock off. We'll definetly be back! read more

We were visiting Nashua and were looking for somewhere quick and cheap. Although this was not amazing or anything fancy, the breakfast was just that..quick and cheap. The breakfast menu was similar to what you would find at a local diner and the restaurant was filled with many locals. I had a veggie omelet which was very light and filling. We had a great experience at PSE today. Breakfast was hot and delicious. The Eggs Benedict was one of the best I've had.

Ordered a large poutine, I would hate to see a small. They made it with what appeared to be shredded mozzarella cheese. Poutine us supposed to be made with curd cheese, that's part of what makes it so yummy and different. Ordered buffalo chicken tenders, they are cheap frozen tenders dumped in some generic hot sauce. Not impressed with the quality or quantity of the food for the money. read more

I'm pretty picky and I love the breakfast here. They have great Eggs Benedict that is always on the special board. Rather then using Canadian bacon they used half a ham steak. The hollandaise sauce is delicious and the home fries are great. I've never had bad service here. When I go in there are usually same two women who are serving breakfast. The are welcoming and take your order quickly. The food comes out pretty fast and everything is usually perfect. The prices are reasonable so we go back often. read more

Love this place.....and have eaten at my share of high end restaurants that fail miserable and hand you a hefty bill at the end. Pine Street dishes up homey fare, think pot roast, poutine, stuffed chicken and the vest damned grilled cheese sandwish around. OMG!!! Went here for breakfast with the family. Waitress was borderline rude from the beginning. After taking our order and waiting 25 mins for eggs,(there were only 3 other parties in the place) she brought the complete wrong order to us. We informed her of her mistake and she stood there as if saying so, what do you want me to do about it. I asked for what we ordered and she looked around and realized she gave another table our order. She actually took the plates that the other patrons were picking at off their table and tried to serve them to us! That was the last straw for us so I don't know the quality of the food and I can assure you I never will. read more

My husband and I used to go to Pine Street Eatery for dinner at least once a week, sometimes more when Shelly was there. She was a great waitress. BTW I think they gave her a raw deal. The food is decent except when they try to copy items from Apple bee's or some other restaurant, then they tend to fall short. We stopped going there because of the waitresses. Mon-Fri there's always the same two. When you walk in one yells out to you and the other one just ignores you. They take your drink order, then your food order. Once your food has been served the rude one, who just happens to be the managers daughter is done with you til it is time to pay. The other one may check on you once. We really don't feel like tipping, but my husband does anyway. Pine street Eatery is our last choice when choosing a restaurant. They could really use "Restaurant Impossible" because under better management it could be a great place! read more

this is the worst place to in nashua, nh. today alone, place our order as soon as we arrived . we order 2 hamburges clubs cooked med. well 35 minutes later to find out the burger was cooked well done. sent it back and waited another 25 mins the waitress came over and trued that the to to tell us that the burgers were med wrong again. i asked another waitress over and my wife showed her that the meat was burnt. she could not believe it she asked if we would like something else? we desisted to have 2 chicken clubs. now waited another about another 20 minutes. asked our first waitress if they had to go and catch the chicken. the first waitress comment was it will be a few minutes. by time we received the sandwiches it was like 45 minutes. when we got the clubs. they were the worst clubs. i'm a chef for like 30 years. i know how to make a sandwich. i asked for an ice tea with lemon. received the ice tea, no lemon. i asked the first waitress again for the lemon then she gave me her smart mouth ( i'm getting them is that ok with you fro across the room) we ended nt eating. i paid the bill. i didn't want to but i didn't want a problem. read more
