Why choose between beer and coffee when you can have both?
    John O.

After an awful overnight shift, it was time to eat and have a drink. Went here with coworkers, whom were also in desperate need to unwind. The breakfast selection is pretty good here. The choice this visit was sausage and biscuits (which were yummy being smothered with gravy), with a cup of baked beans and eggs over easy. It was a nice portion for the price, satisfied without feeling like over-eating. Had a cup of coffee (limited to one, it was time to go to sleep soon-ish) and a glass of Sam Adams with breakfast. This is my favorite detail, anyplace that serves at 8 in the morning is good in my book! Yay night shift! I swear we're not alcoholics, just on a different time schedule from you. Staff was very pleasant, service was quick and the food came out excellent. What more can I say?

The service is always amazing and the food is always on point and it never disappoints. The ambiance is like a typical diner with booths, no loud music so you can talk to your party. Let's get down to the food. Cinnamon Bun Pancakes- this is my go to because I love it! It's not overly sweet which I love and it reminds me on a cinnamon bun. I always get one lol Country Benedict- this is what I order every time I come here as my main dish. You get buttermilk biscuits instead of English muffins with sausage patties on top and the lovely gravy. The gravy is soo good. CHOCOLATECHIP pancakes- my daughter go to since she loves chocolate lol. Which 5 year old doesn't right? She always gets this and it's really good. So if you're in Hudson be sure to come here, you won't be disappointed.

** Patty Melt review **…read more Roadside eatery in a tiny strip plaza. Outside, it looks nothing like the classic New England train car style or New Jersey stainless steel style diners, but inside are countertop with stools, booths around the outskirts, and the hustle and bustle giving it a strong diner vibe. Like my visits to many diners, I was here on my patty melt quest. -- Patty Melt: First, the composition is faithful to the prototype, with a quarter pound patty (no smashburger nonsense), rye bread (no sourdough decoy), buttered (not merely toasted), and with the classic Swiss cheese, sautéed onions and thousand Island dressing. No fusion, no reinvention, no omissions, no hipster jive. Good crispness and butteriness on the bread, great melt on the cheese, and noticeable softness to the onions. Most importantly, the beef could be ordered medium rare, and they executed. More softness, with gushing juices and a really pleasing bite. I suspect nothing special to start with, but they cooked it to near perfection. Only quibble would be not much crust to the patty, but not as critical on a patty melt. -- Fries: I could have had tots or a few other options, but fries were fine. Almost certainly frozen, but the skin-on variety and not the dreaded coated kind. Nothing special, but good enough. Service was adequate. It seemed like everyone was prepping to get everything gathered and cleaned for closing about 90 minutes earlier than necessary, but that didn't detract. If anything, it shows initiative and hustle. Not much data to go on, but an easy 4 for me.

At first glance I was scared this was going to be a problematic dining situation (Im white, hubby isnt and we had went to another place around the corner and werent received too well so we left) and I thought Oh No, not again, But we sat down and the vibe was cool. Ended. up sitting next to another couple who I thought was going to be more of the issue and OMG - we became best friends and they were regulars so we were laughing and telling jokes and just had the best time. The food was GOOD... Options were crazy, portions were great. Hubby got the skillet and that thing was breakfast for 3 days SERIOUSLY... All the food was great, would def go back!!! Dont judge a book is all Im saying, I thought this place was going to be slightly a dump and it def wasnt!

We didn't. i'm not gonna promote the food here because it's not worth promoting. service was good throughout, from the host to our server. the quality of food is a mixed bag We order the frappe and smoothie. The smoothie was not overly sweet, which we like a lot. The frappe was decadent and generous amounts of Oreo cookies. the country Benedict was spot on. The side of beans was on the sweeter side. the Dublin breakfast was OK. The ham was really dried out. The hash was cooked really well. then there was the stack of chocolate chip pancakes. It was the driest and crumbly pancake I ever had in my life. not returning.
