Pine Street Bacon & Sausage! Outstanding!!!
    Jenn C.

I didn't take a picture of the in-package meat, but here is a picture of the cooked FRESH sausage & bacon! The store bought gives me the worst heartburn (TMI, sorry). This is a heartburn-free strip of bacon right here!!!! My hubby was so impressed with the actual flavor of meat without the extra "stuff" in pre-packaged meat... we have a happy hubby!!! This was a gift from my mom so I don't know how much this was, but I would say worth it!!!

I have never had a personal butcher, but this was as close I a got to my own butcher. Rusty and the team were wonderful. I learned a lot and being able to take home some fresh meat was a highlight of the visit. Sausage, chicken, pork and more. You have your choice of the good stuff. All of the good stuff too. Humanely raised meat is what they stand for and sell. Make sure you stop by and get that bacon jam.

Everything is better with bacon...unless the bacon is no good. But almost any bacon is usually fine with me. Not anymore. PSM is an excellent source for the best Applewood Smoked Bacon to ever cross your lips. Is it succulent and almost sweet due to its lack of saltiness. I like salt just as much as the next gal, but seriously most bacon causes you to retain water and you can only eat so much. The bacon here is perfection. I'm ashamed to say I ate 5 piece with my brunch on Sunday and I NEVER do that. I also tried out the Spicy Paprika Salami. Considering my love of all things salami, I have a pretty tough palate to please. This salami is spicy with an explosion of flavor between the paprika and the pop of garlic to the wonderful finish of Pinot Grigio. De-lish! I highly recommend you take the time to go by PSM and grab some bacon and an assortment of salamis (and sausages and cheeses). I cannot wait to go back and get more goodies. Next on my list - pancetta and a couple more salamis! This is definitely worth the trip.

Fantastic quality. Great people. Get any of the cured meats. Or fresh meats. Bacon burger is a favorite.

The best meats and culinary finds in the area. Stop in and you'll have the best picnic basket around. Plus the meats are just delicious.

The meat is decent but waaaay overpriced. And I don't like to support people like this owner. Take your business elsewhere.

Now that we've gotten that out of the way... This has been my farmers market ever since I moved to Atlanta 10 years ago. What keeps me coming back isn't just what they have--it's who they have. The staff here has always made me feel like family. Whether it's the sweet gentleman who cuts the fresh pineapple, the gentleman preparing fresh coconut water, or the ladies at the checkout counters, everyone is consistently warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Those interactions may seem small, but they're a big part of why I continue to return year after year. Of course, the selection is incredible as well. This is where I buy most of my fresh fruit, a lot of my meat, and--let's be honest--my desserts too. Speaking of dessert, there is one item I absolutely have to mention: the fruit tart. I've tried fruit tarts from all over, and I can honestly say this market has my favorite one. Every single year, it's become my birthday tradition to pick one up, and I look forward to it just as much as the celebration itself. It really is that good. One thing I've always appreciated is the consistency. No matter which part of Georgia I've lived in over the past decade, I've continued making the drive because I know exactly what kind of experience I'm going to have every time I walk through the doors. A couple of helpful tips if you're visiting for the first time: * While the parking lot can look busy, I've almost always been able to find a space. You may have to park a little farther away, but a few extra steps are well worth it. * Also, be sure to come prepared--this market accepts debit cards or cash only, so credit cards aren't accepted. There are plenty of farmers markets around Atlanta, but this one has always felt like home to me. Between the incredible selection, consistently fresh products, and the kindness of the people who work here, it's a place I'll continue returning to for years to come.

This market is overwhelming...in a good way. Parking is easy with the big lot. It's just getting in and out of the lot.

I'm a little late writing this review because I've been debating whether to continue shopping here…read moreor find a new meat shop. During my last visit, I had a very unpleasant interaction with a woman behind the counter who displayed a complete lack of emotional maturity, very nasty demeanor, unprofessional. An item in the package I ordered was unavailable, which was fine, but when I asked if I could choose a different item of equal or lesser value instead of the automatic substitution, her entire demeanor shifted and she became visibly frustrated. She rolled her eyes, placed both hands on her head, took an exaggerated deep breath. I calmly explained that I wasn't trying to frustrate her, I simply wanted to choose an item that suited my household's needs. (Why waste my money, right? ) When I asked if she could check with a supervisor to approve a swap, she grew even more irritated. The level of attitude and unnecessary hostility in that moment was astounding. She then went on a defensive rant about everything she had done to have the item replaced. She went to the back to speak with someone on the phone again and after coming back out, I was able to do the swap. Also she was very rude to the skin older gentleman that was there as well. After completing my purchase, the older gentleman offered to take the items to my car. I initially refused but I allowed it. As I look up from my car, the same woman also came outside. I'm not sure why but I can only imagine it was to look for a reason to antagonize me. Nonetheless, I remained polite throughout the exchange, but speaking with someone behaving like an emotionally unregulated child is not an experience I expect as a paying customer. I'm still unsure if I'll return, but if I do, I sincerely hope not to encounter that same employee or that kind of poor behavior again. Maybe a mental institution is best suited for her instead of being behind someone's counter. I only gave 3 stars because it was my first negative experience, but that was enough for me.
