I finally made it to Brito after seeing countless TikTok videos and so many wonderful reviews! After a long day of celebrating and day drinking, one of my girlfriends suggested that we head to Brito to grab some chicken, lol. Random, but we're always down for a field trip. Located on Buford Highway, I swear that I smelled that chicken before I even pulled into the parking lot. When I parked, the smell of grilled chicken filled the air and I could seriously wear that scent as perfume lol. There were huge grills outside grilling up more greatness as guests hustled in and out of the supermarket lot. Brito is a market that sells meat, produce, Mexican snacks of all sorts and of course - delicious, flavorful, food. It's not a very big place and you could probably walk the entire floor twice within 5 minutes, but the flavor is BIG here. The employees here were on their p's and q's, assisting each customer with ease. I grabbed some snacks and a spicy mango frozen treat before we headed to the counter to grab our food. I had no clue how much it would be, if there was variety, none of that - I just did what everyone else did lol. There wasn't much conversation happening, just delicious birds being plucked from whatever magical place they were stored behind the meat counter. Each chicken was wrapped in plastic, set on a plastic tray and paired with two souffle cups of salsas, a green sauce and a fire red sauce. The chicken was still hot and packaged perfectly. As we went to pay for our wins, there were stainless steel pans with piles of chickens just pulled from the grill. It took everything in me to not jump into one of them and nibble my way out, lol. My chicken ended up being $13 and it was enough for two meals for my partner and I. Let me say - that chicken is everythinggggg everyone said it would be. It reminded me of a chicken I was obsessed with in Puerto Rico, so full of great flavor, juicy, tender - just A1 all around. All in all, I will absolutely be making my way to Buford Highway more often and leaving with a chicken or two.

I decided to try this place because someone on Instagram said it was good. The chicken is everything. It's flavorful and well worth the price. I came in it was a line but that's probably because you can smell the smoke from down the street. The service was amazing and the ambiance is for everyone that loves to shop. This is a grocery store and meat market that has plenty of items. This is a must come to.

Small Hispanic market with what you'll need to cook a good meal. I keep coming here for their delicious juicy grilled chicken with the sauces and hot tortillas. I can eat the whole chicken by myself in one night it's that dang good!! They're always friendly when I go in and that grill seems to always be smoking.

The chicken is worth it. Well seasoned. You have to go into the store to purchase it at the meat counter.

Ok, let's make this clear. This location is THE Brito supermarket that is worth talking about. I went to the other super close location on accident and walked into just a market! Lol... Something told me to go to the next one after I had read all of these reviews and seen all these stories online... I was so happy to see a grill going outside and even ha[ppier to walk in to see cooked food options! Ok... So I had the ribs, pollo, and the HUGE chicharrones... I bout some of their guac... called a friend and went to the pool and had a WHOLE FIESTA! Super vibes!!! I will be back! The prices and the amount of food given gave me straight Nystalgia! Authentic, good cooked food from a marcado! I felt like I was walking the streets of Mexico and someone's Tio was on the grill! YES!

Chicken was elite off the pit. Hot and super juicy. Salsa Roja, salsa Verde, and warm tortillas. Fantastic.

Brito Supermarket #2 is a small, unassuming supermarket that serves the best pollo asado (grilled chicken) in Atlanta, as well as costillas (ribs) and chicharrónes. It is on the corner of Curtis Drive and Buford Highway in Brookhaven. There are other locations in Marietta and on Chamblee Tucker Road (Embry Hills area). The smokers led me to pull into the driveway one day years ago out of sheer curiosity. Now that I work and live close, I am probably at Brito on a monthly basis. My friends often ask me to bring pollo asado and the fixings for potluck dinners. I usually pick up onions, cilantro, jalapeños, and homemade tortillas before heading to the register (I love a one-stop shop). Especially for its diminutive size, Brito has a well-stocked meat counter, fresh produce, fresh tortillas, and Latino specialty pantry items and sweets. Upon walking in, head past the cashier and take a right to find the meat counter. The pollo asado is expertly seasoned, juicy, and smoked to perfection. There are a few picnic tables if, like me, you can't resist tearing open the Saran-wrapped container (I usually have to sample it in my car). But the ribs are also really good. I love the smoky flavor and tenderness of the ribs. You know you are experiencing tasty ribs when you do not miss barbeque sauce. Homemade salsa verde and rojo accompany both meats (warning: both salsas are kicking). Don't forget to pick up tasty fresh chicharrónes. The pork rind variety is more regularly available than the ones with the pork belly.

I went here after seeing a video on TikTok. It was very packed on the day that I went, assuming that the other people saw the same TikTok video that I saw, lol! They claim to be the best grilled chicken in Atlanta. Coming from a Mexican establishment, I had to see if they were telling truth. But because I haven't tried ALL of the grill chicken in Atlanta, I can't support their claims of being the BEST but they are GOOD! lol! The spatchcock a whole marinated chicken, char it on the grill, then pair it with this red and green sauce. The red sauce was a little spicy and the green sauce was cold but ok! We ordered 2 whole chickens and cost us around $27.00? But 1 chicken could easily feed a small family of 4 or 2 greedy adults lololol! They are located inside of small supermarket / farmers market type setting. Plenty of produce and Mexican condiments / seasonings / etc to choose from. It's located in Buford Hwy so it's a good drive coming from Southside Atlanta, but it's a drive you will not regret if you want to try it out.

Idk what they season their grilled chicken with, but it's like what I would assume crack is like. One taste and you can't get enough.

I went this past week because I was looking for 2 specific items that I wasn't able to find at 2 other large Asian markets. Someone had suggested this Market because of the extensive ethnic choices. It has Asian (Korean, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Filipino), European, South American, Hispanic and American items. There are sections that have premade Asian meals, fresh seafood, extensive fruits and vegetables, frozen foods, pantry staples, bakery items, almost anything you might want. It's a large market and you could spend hours going up and down the aisles exploring. I was surprised to find they even had a favorite pop that I only thought I could get in Michigan. Now I know that I can go here and get it, without having to have it ordered online. It can get busy on the weekends when everyone is doing their weekly shopping, but I went later in the day and was able to find parking and not bump into people or long lines.

I have lived near Buford Highway Farmers Market for 28 years. I have visited at least two to three…read moretimes a week. BHFM pretty much had its "Glory Years" 10 or 15 years ago. It has slowly gone downhill since then. I have bought their quart container of squeezed pink grapefruit juice many times, it used to be very reasonable. For the past couple of months the price has risen to $13.99 a quart !!! Whole Foods has the same thing for $8.99. Other sources are no where near $13.99. That's price gouging. All the daily house hold products are also much higher than Target, Walmart, Kroger, Publix. I cannot believe people pay the prices. Unless they are on special, berry's and fruit's are more expensive than Publix or Kroger and they look like they are second or third tier quality. The same for the vegetables, some literally still have dirt on them and are definitely poor quality. I bought sushi the other day at the counter in the back, for the price it was great. I decided to buy extra Wasabi, there were three kinds on the counter. None had a price, not on the container, not on the shelf. I asked the person behind the counter what were the prices, they said they didn't know, I would have to carry the wasabi literally diagonally across the store and get a price. The person couldn't call and ask ?!?! How does an employee not notice these items are not priced !?!? I have always loved the cafeteria, their entrees are delicious. Now some of the trays have nothing in them and some have been sitting in the trays and have a skim on the top because they haven't even stirred them up obviously for hours. 40% off after 4;30pm, great deal, but half or more of the food is gone, by 5pm they have pretty much closed up. The Mex part is closed at 4:30pm. So sad, a great resource, just about ruined. They also used to have cooking classes, which were great. They haven't had a class in years. Today I go in and by 4 items, the lines are long, so I took it to the quick checkout near the entrance. A person in front of me had over 10 items, each bag was like 5 pounds of vegetables each. He was not an employee, be paid cash. I asked the cashier so the line is no longer 10 items or less? She shrugged her shoulders !!! There used to be 10 items or less registers, at least two. Both of those have been long gone. It looks like BHFM is adding self checkout, the registers are installed and have sat there 2 years !?!? Still not open. With skyrocketing grocery prices and the competition in the area BHFM management needs to wake up. The outside isn't looking its best either. I hate to write this, but come on BHFM !!! Yes, there are some good deals, especially specials, but they are no where near the quality / price of Whole Foods or Dekalb Farmers Market. The same for H MART, I want competitive pricing and quality products, as a local, the "novelty" effect means nothing to me.
