He explained every step in the process as he was working and before I knew it, he was done. The work Dr. Recksiedler performed was nothing short of amazing. I'm 41. Before the appointment I looked in the mirror and exposed my smile and I didn't have much tooth exposure due to I'm older and fatter compared to when I was in my late teens and early 20's. He gave me my same smile and teeth I had from when I was young. His work is literally incredible! He definitely has a talent and it shows. They removed the rest of my broken filling, cleaned, prepped and 3D printed a crown for me on the spot - no follow up appointment needed (~15 minutes for the 3D print). To top it off, they provided a VR headset streaming a Netflix movie of my choice, as well as headphones to take my mind off of the procedure. Finally, a super comfy (and comforting blanket) to help me feel safe and at ease. I can't believe I am admitting this after what I've experienced in my past, but I can't wait to go back. No more neglecting my teeth for fear of the dentist's office.

I was…read moredealing with over a year of gum pain around a dental implant that my previous dentist kept ignoring and telling me that nothing was wrong. I'm the type of person that brushes 2x a day, flosses daily, waterpik daily and uses a tiny toothbrush to go between my dental implants, so I couldn't understand what was going on. After changing jobs, getting better dental insurance and better pay, I was finally able to switch dentists. I first went to Summit Dental and it was brought to my attention that there was an issue with my gum around my implant and I was referred to Dr. Steinberg for periodontal. Dr. Steinberg is very warm spirited, welcoming, gentle and yet didn't sugar coat to me about my gum issue; which I liked. I had periodontal disease around my implant and was having bone loss with the tooth next to my dental implant. Dr. Steinberg was very thorough and answered all my questions to help me understand what was going on. The day of my procedure, I felt comfortable and I felt I was in good hands. I do have anxiety seeing dentists, especially after everything I went through. The procedure went good and everyday my recovery gets better and better and I'm no longer having pain. Every time I go to Dr. Steinberg's office, his staff are professional and nice. I greatly appreciate Dr. Steinberg for all his care and hardworking. I also appreciate his staff for their professionalism and kindness. I highly recommend Dr. Steinberg and I have recently been referring friends and family whom are having periodontal issues to him.

Best Dentist Experience Ever - Allison Avenue Dental in La Mesa is Truly Exceptional!…read more My entire family of 5 (me, my husband, and our three kids ranging from toddler to teenager) have been patients at Allison Avenue Dental for a while now, and I can honestly say it's the best dental practice we've ever been to. Everyone there is incredibly patient and thorough. They never rush you and they take the time to explain everything in detail - not just "you need this done," but the why, the benefits, and all your options. It feels like true education instead of a sales pitch, which makes you feel respected and in control of your own care. The front desk staff (shout-out to the wonderful lady who always greets us) is genuinely sweet and makes checking in a pleasure. The hygienists and assistants are gentle and kind, my middle daughter actually looks forward to her appointments because "they're so nice and sweet to me." That's huge when you have kids! My oldest is currently doing Invisalign here and the transformation in her smile is absolutely beautiful already - we couldn't be happier with the results and the way they've guided her through the whole process. Even our toddler, who used to be terrified and wouldn't open her mouth at previous dentists, is now getting comfortable and letting them do cleanings and check-ups without tears.
