My son and I had a dental exam & cleaning with Dr. Feinberg but when we got to the office the receptionist said we did not have an appointment with the doctor just cleanings for the day. I distinctly remember making the appointment for the doctor with Eddie, the hygienist! The same thing happened the year before. I had to take the day off with no pay and still didn't get to see Dr. Feinberg because he wasn't in office. I've been going to Dr. Feinberg's office for years and it has always been wonderful until today. I broke two teeth on my upper partial and had to wait over a month and a half to get an appointment. Went there first thing this morning and just received a call that the lab didn't pick up my partial until 1:30pm! This means that I will not be able to get my partial back until noon TOMORROW. I was supposed to have gotten it back the same day at 3:30p. So, now I have no upper teeth and have been put in a situation of possibly being late to another appointment because of this. I can't praise this clinic enough. I'm a scaredy cat, even for cleanings. I also have a prosthesis in my mouth from a jaw removal. I need extra care. They prep me for the procedure and distract me throughout the process, which, for me, is needed. Dr. Feinberg often walks out with his patients to the waiting room. This is my second posting. I do not know how to attach this to my first review which was based on my initial appointments: x-ray, 3-D scan, examination, etc. Since that time, Dr. Fineberg has lasered my gum line with a special treatment called LANAP, extracted 3 teeth, and fitted me with a lower partial denture. As you can imagine, that was an extensive experience, but I was in the hands of a master craftsman and his loving capable team. As always Arcy was my guide, explaining every step, providing encouragement, and always having my back. I can understand if there as a patient that needs more care, but we waited 40 minutes past our appointment time until we were called back, another 30 minutes until we actually saw the doctor, at which point he came and fiddled with the chair before leaving the room for another 10. All of this for a visit that truly only took 15 minutes for dental impressions. His bedside manner was good, and he knew what he was doing, but the amount of time we waited was inexcusable. read more

This is hard for me because I never do this, but after my last 3 visits and only needing a scan to see if I am ready to receive my implant I have to... all 3 times I arrive 10 maybe 15 minutes early, all 3 times I am there for over an hour or more after my appointment time, I don't know if it is bad time management or if they just take walk ins and every emergency they can throughout the day, but when you have to use a vacation or sick day for your appointment and something like this happens you get the feeling that they don't consider your time valuable, and the only time someone mentions anything about your wait time is after they are bringing you in to your room.. nothing while you are waiting for hours.. I have no problem with the dentist or the front office people themselves they are very polite and professional, it's the lack of time and management planning around around their scanning machines that needs a lot of work. If you are ok with waiting in a very small office on very uncomfortable chairs for hours then this office is for you.. but if value your time I would seek care elsewhere. Update Dr Feinberg called me that evening and apologized for everything that had happened and was very sincere, he is a great dentist with a very good rapport with his patients, he asked wether I would come back as a patient and unfortunately at this time I do not see that happening because the issues in the office seem to be systemic and need some time to work themselves out.. I will however upgrade my review with another star for taking the time to speak with me regarding my concerns. read more

Every week we give Kuddos to folks. Today, we take no pleasure in writing this "negative" review. First, we want to say that Dr. Feinberg is a wonderful person and he is a very caring Doctor. The person who handles the patient's insurance, was rude, had no patience, spoke to us in an abrupt, irritated way. We told her to please not speak to us that way. She just acted like she never even heard our comment. The staff person said she would take care of what we called her about by the end of the week. She told us not to call her, but instead to wait for her to call us. Today is a month later from when we called her. We still have not heard from her. We were initially thrilled to have Dr. Feinberg as our Dentist. That staff person in his office has caused Dr. Feinberg to lose two new patients. We do not recommend this Dentist office. I never thought I'd ever say a root canal was a great experience, but Dr. Feinberg and Yvette are just that wonderful! I can honestly say that he is the best dentist I have ever seen and I am so happy that I switched to his office! Richard is a thief. He stole my tooth material when he overdid the repair of a small crack. Richard offered me a custom 1/4 crown that he said would be a more effective restoration that would be better than a composite filling. A lot more expensive, too. From 1/4 tooth involvement, Richard took almost half the dental material so he could install a repair that didn't meet the edge of the tooth. He also drilled and destroyed a lot of dental tissue that was quite healthy. I think from the way Richard prepared my tooth that He stole healthy dental tissue t so he could set my tooth up for an even more expensive root canal. The custom made device that Richard Fienberg made failed with months. He put it in Sept 2015. It fell out by April. He weakened the tooth by applying the crown at the distance from flush to the tip surface of the tooth. That created a malocclusion that caused me pain within a week that has t stopped all this time. I also have a facial deformity from the malocclusion. Richard sabotaged my tooth and stole dental material so he could cause an imbalance when I chew. The way he has my upper teeth hitting the lower teeth caused so much shift in my mouth that my face is crooked. I got a refund. After the Feinberg custom crown fell off the fault that he set up in my mouth, I went back to tell Richard that all my suspicions that I wrote to his website right after I noticed that the crown didn't meet the surface of the tooth. It was obvious what would happen as the upper tooth began to fall down into the crooked space that he had made drilling and applying his special device. I was in pain within a week. I found out that there are no dental malpractice attorneys. When I told Richard about an unethical dentist that I refused, he implied to me that he, an association leader, believes that it's impossible to make a living as a dentist without a few tricks to deceive the public. Richard worked for the associations and believed it wasn't possible to pay for all the offices, machines and staff without a few tricks. I didn't think he would. Especially after we talked about it. And especially with all his association credientials! That is the day I learned association are where crooks share and get protection. Richard Feinberg, DDS of La Mesa, CA used his dental skill to make a Jenga game of balance in my mouth. He sabotaged the tooth so well that the next dentist couldn't fix it. Richard set the tooth up to fail as a simple cheap repair. Instead he upsold me with deceit about the effects, stole healthy dental tissue, caused me pain since Sept 2015, and stripped me of my faith in men that take leadership positions in professional associations. They don't protect consumers. They create better crooks. The day I went to tell Richard Feinberg the dentis what a greedy and evil person he is for causing me pain and setting me up for more dental expenses, an official was in his office investigating him. She is the one that insisted he give me a full refund and gave me the medical records. Some of them. Richard lied about the big colorful diagnostic images that he took. I asked for them but he said he didn't have them and the agent enforcing my refund didn't press it. Richard kept the individual color microscopic images because they make his dental malpractice for profit so obvious. read more
