This place is amazing! The teriyaki pineapple wings, the loaded nachos, hush puppies, shrimp kids meal, and pineapple cole slaw was all super delicious! The wife had heard about Pineapple Willy's and wanted to try it. I had already had smoked tuna from a restaurant near Pier Park so I wasn't hungry. She got the Mahi Mahi. She's not a fish eater at all but says this is one that she will definitely revisit. I saw a few things on the menu that I want to try. This place is alright. It's a fun, beach atmosphere but it is unfortunately filled with a bunch of teenagers on dates so it gets pretty awkward when you're wanting to have a fun, adult night out. The wait times are also obscene. 1 hr 45 min wait. That was rough. The food is good but horribly overpriced. Like $20-30 for most plates and it's silly stuff like chicken tenders. It's a PCB staple so I get why people like it. It's fun. Just expensive and you have to wait so long. read more

Ok, so the wait was outrageous... and it was SUPER crowded. We didn't expect much, honestly we thought it would be another typical PCB beach joint but once they called out name to be seated, we had drinks and food in front of us in no time! The gator bites are YUMMY! I got the fried shrimp and it was dusted with some type of Cajun spice that tastes amazing! Others ordered the bbq ribs and raved about them! It was really affordable too! Although we found the food to be mediocre and expensive the service was excellent. This is one smart restaurant/bar/gift shop! They were packed! Get there early and you'll only have an hour wait. You can spend that time in the bar buying expensive but very yummy drinks and appetizers or in the gift shop buying your Pineapple Willys swag (we did both). I enjoyed the experience but next time I would just go back for the bar and appetizers. read more

We visit here every year. The food is way better than I would expect for a place that really is more known for their drinks. Friends found the popcorn shrimp excellent, while my chicken tenders were as to be expected from a beachfront restaurant. Grilled chicken basket for kids was great and the nachos were enough for dinner plus. Of course I had to try the drinks too. An hour at a beach front restaurant is understandable but an hour and forty-five minutes is a bit much. We have 4 kiddos and it was nice that they had a kid friendly waiting room and eating area. The wait time was around an hour but that was about average in PCB during spring break. I will admit that I am a food snob and a service snob (It takes ALOT for me to be impressed). As a foodie that cooks as a hobby, it takes quite a bit to impress me. So when someone that owns 2 Green Eggs, 2 pellet grills, a Twin Eagle gas grill, and a flat top griddle is blown away, it means something. The ribs, and I have cooked many, are beyond what anyone would expect, especially me. Put mine to shame. The blackened mahi with mango pineapple salsa is better than any exclusive 5 star restaurant can ever duplicate. But even more over the top was the service. Incredibly efficient, given the high volume of traffic. Although everyone appeared to be on their game, if you get the chance to be served by Nathan, you will be equally impressed. One of our favorites. It's a busy place. We arrived at 11:00 when open, got seated with in 15 minutes. Staff was all friendly, our sever Jessica was awesome! Peel & eat shrimp is great. Really great view, really great gator bites, really great birds stealing your fries! We started off with the gator bites. I was a bit cautious at first but it was probably my favorite part of the meal. We got catch of the day BLT, catch of the day salad and catch of the day.. normal. The BLT with the fish was one of the best BLTs I've had. It was big and bacony and the fish was great. All the catch of the day meals were exquisite and fresh. I know pineapple Billiam has nothing to do with this, but the view from the pier was gorgeous and the birds were pecking around eating all the dropped foods. You know, the circle of life.
