I am allergic to shellfish (which obviously sucks when coming to the beach) but I Absolutely love the fact that they have an allergen menu explaining how all the foods are prepared and what allergens it may be exposed to! Looking for somewhere we haven't been before and decided on Pineapple Willy's. With the exception of just a very few selections every dish was FRIED. It was busy but we were seated within a reasonable amount of time. Our server Lisa was very pleasant and personable. At her suggestion my fiancé chose the blacked grouper and I ordered the seafood platter. Our food arrived promptly (maybe even too quickly based on our order). Lisa regularly checked on us for anything we needed which was a plus. Kudos to Lisa for her attention and positive attitude. However, the grouper was somewhat rubbery and the breading on the seafood platter was kind of heavy for our tastes. I imagine this is what's commercially produced and fried in house. Our meal was pricey compared to another restaurant we dined in earlier in the week. Bottom line is the price was more for a lower quality meal. Doubt we'll be back. read more

After reading all the reviews and being recommended by a couple of people we decided on pineapple Willie's tonight. Monday night. No wait. Fast service. Good food. I had the catch of the day, blackened grouper, the wife had fried shrimp. We shared and both were good. They don't serve beer in a glass...either the can or a biogradable styrofoam cup for environmental reasons. And, paper straws which were ok with us. the waitress, Aimee , was nice and attentive. The guy that brought our food was nice but acted as tho he was paying for the butter when we asked for some for our mashed potatoes and corn. He was very stingy with it and we had to ask for more twice. Overall the food and service were ok. But, for my money I'm going back to Harpoon Harry's and the wife agreed with me. read more

Wonderful experience overall. My wife and I came here as a last-minute decision for dinner and Pineapple Willy's did not disappoint. You get a choice of outdoor or indoor seating, the entire outdoor seating area is covered and well protected from the rain. As we were seated outside my first complaint arises, the tables are set up with the seats directly connected to the table - picnic table style - which made the seating feel very cramped. The waitress was super nice and explained the menu to us and we were able to order everything we wanted at the same time. The appetizer came out as soon as it was ready and was hot when it arrived, their fried pickles are DELICIOUS. Our entrées came out in a timely manner as well and the food was hands-down some of the best I've had in my life. We waited a bit after finishing our food before the bill was brought to us which was a tad upsetting but the payment process was quick and easy. I will be visiting again soon. read more

Pineapple Willy's is always extremely crowded. It takes forever to find a place to park because all three of the backup parking lots where full. After my family and I drove around for at least an hour we finally found a spot. It took an hour and a half to get a table but there were many things to do while waiting. There is a gift shop with a lot of cool souvenirs in it. There was also a building to wait in. It had a live band playing, a bar, games, and you could order appetizers. Once we finally got our table we got a rude waitress who didn't ask if we wanted straws, interrupted some my family, and only gave us one set of silverware. But the food was outstanding. This place has been around forever, like 20 years at least. It has been a long time since I had been here and honestly, wasn't expecting much, but am posting here because my experience on July 26, 2021 was better than expected. Easy place to walk to with beach access. We were told we would have a 45 minute wait around 2 pm, but were seated in under that time on the pier with a great beach view. The tables are spread out. The server wore a mask. He was friendly and the food came out fast. We enjoyed the smoked tuna dip, and Willy baskets of clam strips and mahi-mahi. The portions were large. Too large to eat it all. We considered going to get a drink at the bar while we waited for our table, but the line was extremely long. However, a visit would not be complete without a Pineapple Willy which is worth the $13.00 cost for the 24 oz because you can refill it for $9.00. Don't forget to check out the live beach cam.
