Not impressed. It has a nice location and if you can get a table overlooking the beach, a nice view. But the drinks and food leave something to be desired. I ordered two drinks and they make them VERY weak. Disappointing. For dinner I had the turkey Reuben; boy was it bland. The sauerkraut was hardly "sauer" at all. Pricey for a sandwich too. It seems like maybe the ribs are the way to go here, so I would try those. Stay away from the Reuben and don't expect their drinks to pack any punch. read more

Awesome, awesome, awesome! If you can't find a parking spot, they have other "overflow lots" that are designated for Willy's. It's right on the beach so you get a great view and a nice breeze if you choose to sit outside. The food is really good, I had the Mahi Mahi Willy Basket and I ate every bite. Great service, everyone is very nice, awesome souvenir shop and the drinks are amazing. We didn't have to wait long to be seated either. Great time, I always come back whenever I'm in PCB. read more

I went here the night before 4th of July so as expected it was packed. It's your standard touristy type of restaurant/bar but the food was surprisingly good. While my group waited for a table we posted up at the bar in their special event area which doubles as a fun area to hangout and listen to music on nights they know they'll have a big crowd. A great blues band was playing and they were so exciting I hardly noticed I paid $12.00 for a frozen concoction that got me half drunk and half sugar high. The menu claimed to have the best ribs in the world(or something along those lines) and at $19.99(can't remember the exact price) I was poised to be let down! But they were honest to gosh some of the best ribs I've ever had. I don't believe they were smoked because they didn't have that smokey flavor but they were by far the most tender ribs I have ever had. But tender in a good way because the meat wasn't mush and the whole piece of meat didn't come of in one bite. It was just indescribably perfect. At the end of the day I probably dropped $75.00 between my girlfriend and I but it was worth it in the end especially considering it was a holiday weekend. As we were leaving we saw some framed pictures of the property as it used to be decades ago and other pictures of Panama City Beach from yesteryear. It was real neat to see how much PCB has changed. A lot of people rag on this city for having only been cool in the '90's but I think it is still very relevant. read more

But first, allow me to regale you with a short descriptor of the "fantastic" service you'll encounter at this tourist trap. We started our meal off by singing along to one of the best sing-along songs there is, "Sweet Caroline." In the middle of the chorus, Jodi, the miserable waitress of the table next to us, reprimanded us for having a good time! Between my father in law and I, we spoke to all three (nitwit) managers about the situation. Two expressed shock and disappointment (but then did nothing) and the third offered up this gem: "sorry y'all had a bad experience, I understand if you don't come back." If we only had the misfortune of eating their frozen, overly battered, and forgettable food, that would have been enough for this review. However, the addition of food poisoning just put the cherry on the top of this turd sundae of a restaurant. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere else! read more

Food and service was great but they need to beef up security for the beach entrance. Stupid teenagers were "directing" traffic as we were leaving and were trying to walk into moving cars and traffic!! They did it to us twice and there was no security in site to prevent these kids from being stupid!!! read more

Fun place. I visited in 2012 and 2013 as well as 2015. On my most recent visit, we started our night off at the bar attached to the restaurant while we waited for our table. This only took a short while, but the bartenders were very friendly and we had some tasty drinks prior to eating. We ate here twice. Food ranges from average to above that depending on what you get. We did really like the alligator bites. I had wings which were not terrible, but I'm from New York and am a wing snob. I also had the grilled shrimp, which was pretty good. Flavorful. A friend had the ribs and really enjoyed them, Willy's claims their ribs are a highlight. Anyway it's a casual place right on the beach wth a pretty fun atmosphere and decent food. Eating on the pier is fun too! Nice view. Service in my experience has always been very good. The staff are good at putting up with both families as well as drunk morons. The downside was price. Willy's is a little expensive. If you just want great food and aren't partying hardy, go over to Dee's hangout instead. However if you're looking for a little more in the way of drinks and beach atmosphere, Pineapple Willy's isn't too bad. read more

Pineapple Willy's gets my five-star rating for a couple reasons. First, its ON THE BEACH friends. The location is stellar. It's uber-casual, feel free to show up in your swim wear and flips. Buyer beware: in the summer, the wait can be insane. That being said, if you can wait then by all means do it. The food is A-MAZING. The "pineapple willy" drink is a gigantic pineapple thing reminiscent of the old "blue hawaiian" drink. It's sweet, smooth and too easy on the tastebuds. I've been here in the summer as well as late fall. It's just plain fun. You have your choice of eating "in" or out....not sure why you'd wanna dine in when you're on the ocean but to each his own, right? Just in case, there are plenty of TV's in the bar for those inside folks. My absolute favorite at PW's is the Mahi-Mahi BLT. It's a super fun, lively place. If you DO have to wait, there's a cool little shop selling PW's t-shirts and other funky stuff. read more

I've been here twice. Once back in the spring and this weekend. Both times it was completely packed but service was quick and friendly. It's a tourist trap of sorts but actually decent food. Drinks are good and strong, possibly a bit overpriced but you get the cool cup! Overall this place has delivered and for being in dead center of the tourist area I'm impressed. A fun atmosphere and a staple to PCB of course. Throughout my life I've been to Pineapple Willy's several times. It is a good place for kids or a family dinner. They also have live music and a huge bar. However, parking is a nightmare, expect to wait 1.5 hours for a table, and the tables/decor are outdated inside the restaurant. The food is decent but I wouldn't say amazing. The drinks are sometimes strong and sometimes weak depending on the bartender. So alcohol is hit or miss. I'm sure I'll be back for a casual dinner but there are much better places in PCB for good food. read more

OK... I've been to Willy's before, but it has been years. The food is OK, and not as good as I remembered. I had the seafood platter. It's seafood, it's fried, no better no worse than most other fried seafood platters. One thing though, there is way too much fish in the platter. I would be better with less fish and more shrimp, clams, and oysters. My wife and daughter got the ribs, this is their signature dish... I don't know what it is about ribs and Florida restaurants, but it seems that non of them serve baby backs, and have no idea what a St. Louis rib is, even though that is what they are serving... The wife says the ribs were good. However, just not as good as the rib joints back in Cincinnati. ;) The good: Decent food, fun atmosphere, great for larger groups, kid friendly. The bad: It's a bit pricey as a whole. We got 2 orders of ribs, 1 seafood platter, 2 of the Fat Tuesday's drinks, and our bill without tip was $126.00. While on the subject of tip, our waitress knowledgeable and attentive, but maybe not as attentive as I'd like, and was nice overall. However, my wife and I got a Fat Tuesday drink a piece. We opted for the 15.00 flashy mugs. My mug came out flashing, but died after about 2 min. Kelly said she would get me a new cup. There was a good laps in time from when she said she'd get a new cup, and actually got a new cup. Instead of just simply bringing me a new cup, she asked for my cup to take it to make the exchange. I was about half way done with the drink... I suggested she get the cup topped off for my trouble and instead she returned with a third full cup. This mistake cost her half her tip... SOOOOOOOO Average I really tried to give this place a chance. Despite the reviews, we went and gave it a try. The only good thing to come out of this trip were the fruity mixed drinks. Our meal was BEYOND basic. Shrimp Po-boy and the Cuban sandwich. I should have known it would be bad when the waiter asked me what sauce I wanted on my poboy. THEN when the sauces came out and were in "Kens" prepackaged cups it was completely confirmed. I feel that any self respectable sit down restaraunt should either make their own sauces, or at least pour them in a ramekin giving the elusion that they do. So for the food... The shrimp was dry, and the meat on the Cuban was fatty and there was nothing special about any of it. I'll chalk this one up as yet another tourist trap and we will simply not come back. Hopefully this review will stop someone from making the mistake of giving it a chance that I made. There are FAR better places to eat within a quarter mile. Of course, we had the ribs. We went for a quick dinner and sat on the deck outside on the beach, which was great because of the breeze. Granted, the breeze was bit rough that particular night because of nasty stormy weather but still - kind of romantic? The food came out ridiculously quick, we were probably there for a total of 40 minutes - tops. The ribs were great. They were just-right tender and perfectly sticky with barbecue sauce. AND they came in a plastic sand bucket. (is that what you call them? You know, the pails to make sandcastles?) Anyway, I still have it and I swear I'll take it to the beach one of these days. :) I'm sure we had something else but I can't remember... That should demonstrate how good the ribs were! I've been here twice. The first time was MUCH better than the second. Maybe because after the first time, the place just gets old. It's a great place to take groups to though. I had the fried shrimp po boy both times I went. You HAVE to pay the extra quarter to get the pineapple cole slaw.
