We had heard great things about PW's so we wanted to give it a try; even being known as a touristy place. The wait wasn't overly long for 8 people. We all ordered different things off the menu and most things were just ok. Nothing special about the food at all. I had the Island Nachos which were good, but no one else raved about their food selections. The waitstaff was okay- kept mixing up drinks and giving food to the wrong people. They were also not around when you needed something like a drink refill. I would say it's best to avoid Pineapple Willy's if you want great food. I think people just go because of the atmosphere/drinks and there's seating overlooking the crowded beach. I don't see us going back there in the future. read more

This was a really great place on the beach with beautiful views. I had the blackened shrimp and (cheesy) grits and it was mouthful of flavors. The shrimp was grilled perfectly. My husband ordered the bucket of ribs. Although tasty, they were not as tender. My daughter enjoyed the pork pulled sandwich. Service was great. Be prepared to use plastic utensils as there was no real silverware. The ambiance was a fun, spirited crowd but not wild. I will definitely come back especially to try their daiquiri bar!! read more

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night in the summer and it was of course packed. The wait was 90 minutes. We parked in their large free lot and found a table outside while we waited. We also ordered appetizers and frozen drinks from the bar while we waited. The line for that was long, but it moved quickly and our food came up quickly as well. The peel and eat shrimp were good as was the chips and queso. It was a bit pricey, but worth it to eat while we waited. We were seated after about 70 minutes so it was under what they quoted us. There was live music and lots of TVs in the bar area, but we were seated outside on their pier and had a dark view of the water and those walking on the beach with their flashlights. I had the french dip as my entree after we got seated and it was just ok. I felt bad because we were pretty full from the apps and waiting so we ordered very little and were not at our table for that long. This place was right next to our hotel so it was super convenient. We went over on a Saturday night and the wait was 45 minutes to an hour. They told us we could go over to the other room to get drinks and appetizers. We go to the other building and it's like this huge bar with a bar, live music, and tables everywhere. You seat yourself and servers come around but you can only order a select few appetizers. There was a huge line at the bar so it was much faster to order your drinks at a table. The food and drinks were super fast and our table was ready before we finished. The drinks are the best part. They have really good frozen drinks and refills are only $10 but they're huge. My favorite was the blue raspberry. They have drinks to go. Basically they pour you the mix without alcohol and they give you 3 of those little shot bottles for you to mix in once you leave. You get more alcohol this way so you're getting more for your money. The cheese curds and po boy we're both good. It's the same food you're gonna get at any restaurant like this....fried seafood. So it tastes the same wherever you go. read more

I was so excited to try this place after all the fb groups says good food. It was absolutely disgusting subpar food not fit for my dog. I ordered the pineapple nachos that came to the table almost cold and was completely cold in under 3 minutes. I also ordered the bucket of ribs that they say on menu simmers for 8 hours and call off the bone. It fell off the bone all right. Had no taste. But you know that taste when you reheat leftover food? I am not rating Pineapple Willie's for the quality of their food, but just the attitude towards their customers. Pineapple Willie's is the place to be in Panama City. For some, going to the most popular spot is worth a long wait and attitude from staff. There's a sign at the hostess stand that says it all. "The adult equivalent of a child asking, 'are we there, yet?' Is an adult asking, 'how much longer?' That's not exactly true. A child has no choose. An adult waiting at a restaurant can decide if the wait is worth it. If it's 5 minutes longer, the customer might choose to continue waiting, but if it's much longer, he might choose to go somewhere else. We made that decision today. We didn't bother to offend them with that "childish" question. We just turned in our buzzer. My husband called them the night before to ask a question. The person on the phone just said, "We're slammed." They seem to have too much business. read more

View 5 stars Food- a lot of fried food and I imagine it all tastes the same. I had clam strips but they were like clam confetti. Because they were so small it was overcooked and tough. It was decent, and with the drinks they serve they will taste good enough. Note to kitchen. You can do better than Ken's tartar sauce. Take 20 min and make fresh, it really makes a difference. I went with some recommendations from here, cheese grits - omg, cooked to perfection!!!!! Also the pineapple slaw was amazing. I do love pineapple on everything though, so factor that in. I was in during Idalia from Chicago, I love how the staff was paying attention to conditions but was pretty chill about everything. It made me feel at ease. I also ordered the pina colada. The Server was nice and brought me my drinks, the chicken tenders are the size of a cats IQ though.

As always Pineapple Willy's is a hit. The food isn't world class but the view sure is and the drinks are pretty nice too. This was our second visit and we enjoyed it as much this time as we did the first time. I will say, don't get the ribs if you're expecting real BBQ. Outdoor Dining that is Dog Friendly. My family and I visited 7/27/23 we were given a great view overlooking the beach and ocean. My son brought his Border Collie and she loved watching the people on the beach. The Pineapple Willy drinks are great and you get to keep the cup! First time here. Came in for lunch before heading to the beach. Very convenient location. The only thing I don't like was that there wasn't much public parking near it so that way you can eat and then head to the beach. You can find parking, set up on the beach and access this place as well. You can wear your bathing suit which was nice. Food is quick. Service was great! Susan was great! I walked in and didn't wait at all for a table. You can sit inside or outside. Let me just say, the outside is a beautiful view of the ocean. I ordered the fried clam strips with fries and corn on the cob. I didn't like the corn much. It wasn't seasoned at all. Not sure if there was any butter on there either. What attracted me here which I think attracts everyone is that you are able to purchase daiquiris to go and get refills all day for $12.
