Sure, it's a little touristy, but you can't beat the location or casual beach vibe. Get a table near the end of the pier and the waves will be crushing just a few feet away. The service is good. The prices are a little high, but worth it for the setting. We started with a couple medium margaritas ($12 in take-home cups that can be refilled for $9 at any Fat Tuesday location). The margaritas were pretty good, and strong enough even without the $1 extra shot that was offered. For lunch, I opted for the fried shrimp plate with fries and the .50 coleslaw add on. My date had the Caribbean salad with blackened chicken. Both meals were very good and filling, but we couldn't resist splitting a slice of key lime pie for dessert, which was awesome! First off, have you even been to Panama City if you don't check this place out? We went twice while we were in town. The shrimp basket is HUGE and worth every penny. The souvenir cups are a little pricey, but I'm glad I got one for the memories. The view from the patio area facing the ocean is heavenly. The service was amazing both times. Can't wait to go back! We slid in here about 9pm and had a short 45 min wait for the 4 of us. There's plenty to do so the wait time rolls quick. Grabbed a pina colada frozen drink while we set and enjoyed the great alternative playlist they had on. After we were sat, we were greeted by a jam up server Jarrod S. that was highly personable, knowledgeable, and knew how to entertain our kids. We ordered kids menu items and my wife and I split the 1 lb ribs that fell off the bone. This food was delivered very quick and was the best we've had. If the food would have been par for the course however the service of servers like Jarrod would be enough to bring us back. Best we've ate all vacation. I am so sad since reopening... one of our favorite go-to's for quick lunch or dinners. The bar area is a THUMBS DOWN. They used to have easy seating, small cozy tables with seats and benches. Almost every beach you visit will have these generic oceanfront seafood restaurants but Willy's is honestly quite good. Parking wasn't too much of a pain despite how busy it was, and the attendants easily shuffled us into a nearby lot. The place was packed when we got there and had to queue for 30 minutes before we were seated. They serve the typical fare you find at these establishments, "catch of the day" (code word for cheapest fish they can ship in), fried clam strips, lobster, and other seafood assortments. They are most known for their 1 lb bucket of ribs, but surprise, 1 lb isn't that much and is actually only a half rack of ribs. At least you can keep your souvenir bucket to make sand castles out of. My friend and I shared a fried seafood platter which consisted of fried clam strips, fried shrimp, hush puppies, and some of that catch-of-the-day, wait for it, fried too! It came with fries, texas toast, corn cob, and we ordered an extra side of pineapple slaw. Starting with the slaw, I couldn't actually find the pineapple and am 90% sure it doesn't contain any, except for maybe juice or the essence/spirit of pineapple. All the fried fish and crustacean critters were cooked tender and well; I quite like the seasoning they add to the batter. There aren't any glaring problems with my experience, and the customer service was great. They are definitely a well-oiled tourist trap and honestly you're on vacation so it's fine to spend a little extra on fried, frozen seafood. read more

Sits on the beach! There are many restaurants that are across the street from the beach with obstructed views, but not this one! Aside from the beautiful view, their food is typical beach bar fare with a twist of pineapple salsa. The portion sizes are generous. The grilled/blacked fish was a little bit dry, but still good. There is flavored moonshine on the drink menu for $5 with a free plastic souvenir shot glass. Most of the flavors are 110 proof. I tried the peach and it was very smooth. read more

It's not crazy busy, there is plenty of parking available and you're likely going to get a great table as I did. Well, great in terms of location. The tables out on the pier (which only juts into the beach, not the water) are little more than picnic tables with no seat backs. You're not going to be sitting here for hours. I opted for the bucket of ribs, having been warned in advance that it's the thing to have at Willy's. And indeed, the ribs are served in a plastic beach bucket. You'll want to get the fries on the side as well, simply because they are fries. The ribs share well, if you're one to share your ribs. As I was dining alone, I didn't have to. It's more than a half rack, they are very meaty, and they are very wet from the sauce. With fries, beans and cole slaw, it's a meal. Sitting on the beach, watching the sunset, eating ribs and drinking beer. It's a tough job, but I'll do it. read more

The food is very typical bar food with an emphasis on seafood. Their specialty is the ribs bucket, but no one in our group was hungry enough to give that a shot. OK, anyone that has been to PCB for vacation has probably been here. It is a typical beach front bar. We had to drive to it and had lunch there. It has off street parking and it is rustic with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor is covered and extends out like a pier with many many picnic tables lining each side. It is very casual with a bucket on each table with paper towels, menus and condiments. They have full bar and but no draught beer.. what the heck!!?? (-1) We were going to sit out near the end of the patio (pier) but it was chilly and windy so sat further in next to the building so very comfortable. We shared the Jack Daniels pound of ribs, which was excellent and more than enough for both of us for lunch. Glad we did not order fries or an appetizer.. I had a couple of fat tire bottle beers and my friend had the fruity one where they kept the plastic cup with a lid.. .Oh yea, you get the plastic bucket the ribs come in so if you are in to little souvenir gifts .. go for it.. apparently the drink was very good .... Weirdly 3 tables were sat in front of us. There were 2 tables sitting empty that our party could sit at right in front of where we waited. Talked to the manager Brian and he was rude. GOOD LUCK!!! At that point, we knew something had to be wrong and sure enough as soon as we pulled away the parking staff allowed a jacked up Jeep that would take up as much (if not more) parking space than we would have. Frankly, I thought Pineapple Willys was going to be your typical overhyped, beach restaurant. I wasn't wrong, however, it lives up to the hype. Our wait was actually 15 minutes shorter than they anticipated (for first available seating) so we're off to a good start. We had three people, got the nacho appetizer to split & two rib buckets with two sides of fries. My boyfriend and I split our rib bucket and fries & there was plenty of food. & they were so good. I didn't even have time to take a picture of the food before we dug in. You know the food is good when the whole table falls silent for 20 minutes, suffice it to say there were no leftovers. Our server, Phillip, was great! Our service was attentive and quick & you can't forget a daiquiri/frozen drink. Mix the piña colada & orange - thank me later! & the prices are fair considering the prices at the other restaurants in the area - I think you'll find they're all a little higher than we're used to. The only thing I would change is the parking situation. The extra lots are just too small for how busy they stay. Thankfully a spot opened up in the main lot after we doubled back. TL/DR: the waits are long, expect to get a time frame of 1-1.5 hrs. If you want to sit sooner, take first available. The daiquiris are sweet but delicious. The ribs really are that good.
