These folks know how to deliver 1,000 to maybe 1,500 meals at a sitting. very friendly staff, very efficient , food hot and quick you won't be disappointed. 80 percent of the menu is fried food. very few non fried choices. Food was rated at 4 stars and what I'm finding is that ratings are relative to the other restaurants in the area . Food is better than the other large water front dinner places at panama city beach but really nothing special. World famous ribs were cooked to perfection with little or no flavor. Sauce was boring, fries soggy. Key lime and silk pie had good flavor but were maybe 2" round discs mostly crust. We tried Pineapple Willy's on the recommendation from staff at the Holiday Inn. The food was just average, and we felt it was really overpriced. I guess when you're a tourist trap you can charge more. Our favorite thing was the onion rings, which were extra crispy and seasoned well, but the $8 order included just 8 rings. You do the math. The upside was the friendly and accommodating staff as well as the view. If you're looking for a casual waterfront place with good service and average food, and don't mind paying more for it, this is your place. I don't see what folks see in this place but a lot of folks seem to like it. Pork has an okay smoky flavor but you can see it was quickly prepared to feed the masses. Very little love in this cue just hurry up and sell me. The sauce is disgustingly sweet and for sale at the register. Prices are high as one might expect in a hot tourist location. It's fair to middling bbq that probably won't kill you but these us much better out there if you've just got to have pork at the beach. I never will understand that. read more

When we first arrived the wait was an hour and 45 minutes. My fiancé and I didn't care to wait because of the atmosphere and beach views. We got the famous drink mugs and an appetizer while we waited for our table. Grilled chicken was excellent and so was the blackened Mahi Mahi with pineapple salsa. This was our first time visiting PCB and the only place we ate. I was in town visiting my son and who is stationed in the area. The location was great but what really made our visit was our server. His name is Blake and he really made our day. I have been in the business for 27 years and he was by far one of the best servers I have encountered. We came to Pineapple Willy's Saturday June 27th about 6. We were stopped at the entrance and pulled in behind a a couple cars. We took the first turn behind the cars in front of us. The car turned in the 2nd row from the front, not realizing it was a one way. We started to follow only to be stopped by an employee in the parking lot. We backed up and continued around the front of the restaurant, pass the entrance. There were 4 kids walking in front of our truck and a couple taking a picture on the side of the building. Once the kids got out of the road we co tinued around and parked in the handicap spot on the 2nd row at the end. As we went to go into the restaurant an employee rudely accused us of speeding. Said we were going over 10mph. We told him we didn't speed, and he said everyone saw it. It should be noted there was another employee we spoke to before the rude employee and he was friendly and said nothing. The 2 police officers leaning on the rail said nothing. Only that one employee. We felt attacked, singled out and after discussing it we each decided to leave. You need to train your employees on proper customer service. ​ read more

Visited Pineapple Willy's during Labor Day weekend 2020. Still in the middle of our Global Pandemic. I can only imagine how busy it would be if we were in "normal times". Sunday afternoon we had about a 30 minute wait for a table of 4. We were made to wear masks only from the waiting area to the table (25 feet) and then we could take them off. Tyler was our server and he was really on his game. Very good server. He always kept our drinks full, plenty of napkins and never made us wait for anything. The bathrooms were "high traffic" and not very clean. There was plenty of parking. The restaurant itself seemed pretty clean. The food was a small step up from your typical bar food. Nothing mind-blowing for sure. The "signature" frozen drinks are served in large souvenir cups and are very expensive. We are staying right down the street and strolled over to Pineapple Willy's for dinner. The wait for our family of four was around 50 minutes. There were plenty of benches available, and we took a seat and passed the time quickly with a drink in hand while chatting with other tourists. We were seated in the outdoor covered area, overlooking the beach. Our waitress was very friendly and spent some time to chat with us. We ordered and our food came in about 15 minutes. I had the Caribbean Salad with grilled chicken. It had a generous blend of dark and light salad greens with chicken, pineapples, nuts and red onions. Two containers of poppy seed dressing were on the side, along with a slice of garlic toast. It was very tasty. The dressing made the salad really great! My husband ordered the Grilled Grouper and said it was delicious. It came with garlic toast, corn on the cob and fries. The kids each had a basket, one popcorn shrimp and the other chicken tenders. The fries had a nice seasoning and were "cooked to perfection" according to my older son who dipped them in ketchup. A guy came over to take a couple of pictures of our group, and we bought a 5 x 7 one for $10 after dinner at the front desk. In addition, another guy came by and offered to make balloon creations for the kids for a small fee. My little guy chose a Spiderman balloon hat held together by a glow stick. Fun! 17 minutes ago First of all the whole thing with the mask is stupid as hell when you are in a restaurant eating and drinking! How in the WORLD can ANYONE where a mask and eat and drink? We were in this place earlier today, sat at a table and ate food NO MASK of course because were eating and drinking. Now I am at the bar drinking and see all these other people with without a mask, or a mask down under their freaking chin and out of all the people in there I get stopped and told I need a mask! Excuse me???? I could see a trend, I'm BLACK of course so whatever. I'm speaking to the person on the phone and this lady is in my face, mind you NOT 6 FEET away still talking. I can only shake my head. This is so ridiculous and if people look up what the mask is REALLY doing and not doing we wouldn't have these problems. All I can say is be ready to be singled out black folks. Some people they will allow and some people they won't. I hate I have been eating and drinking there all week. Drinks were on point! The Mexican Bottlecaps are spicy but so good!!! Our go to favorite now. For entree the Shrimp and Grits blackened is great!! For $24 you get around 10 shrimp and some of the creamiest cheesiest grits ever! My husband order the Mahi Mahi blackened with fries and corn plus a side of grits and hush puppies (grits and hushpuppies are extra charge and actual sides). RESPONSE to manager- You where not there, so you don't know what happened. The guy kept coming at him and repeatedly asking to get our car, we told him we where walking. He then told us we couldn't walk through there. After he harassed us, he did call him an a--hole, because he was being one and rightfully deserved it. I don't appreciate being treated like some dumb drunk 20 year old's because that's what you are used too. I don't have 240+ reviews for nothing... UPDATE Was my favorite place in PCB until today.... We spent $200 on food and merchandise.. As we were walking back to The Shores of Panama, the scrawny rude parking lot scrub worker started harassing my husband asking 4 times if our car was parked on the lot (which he told him "No, why would my car be parked here when I'm staying next door"? repeatedly) and that he was going to look at the cameras... He basically told him that we were not allowed to walk there..?? Very weird.... Felt kind of threatened... I will never come back after this awkward situation. Didn't care much for the baked beans. They where just pork n beans heated. But some people might like that. My first time here was awesome. We went today for lunch, and it definitely was a better lunch than our meals from yesterday in Panama City Beach. This is an outside and inside restaurant right on the beach, with a pier sticking out real far that surrounds the view of the water. What more can you ask for. This place is great for groups bc the outside area are long comfy picnic tables all with that same view. I figured out we ordered the same thing as yesterday but with better quality. I ordered Mahi Mahi sandwich. It comes with tarter sauce. I wanted mango salsa but the waitress was very considerate to let me know it would be an additional $2 fee. No thanks. It also came with fries, and I ordered pineapple coleslaw. That was .25 additional. It was good cole slaw but didn't taste like pineapple too much. Hubby ordered the pull pork. It came with fries and sweet baby rays on the side, my fave bbq sauce ever. He loved it. The people working here were happy to be here and very happy and socialiable. Our waitress was funny and sweet. Therefore, the view, the area, it being pet friendly, the service and the meal was a good one, and way better than Salty Sue's and Hook'd which were yesterday's meals. You will so love it here. We are as fast as we could, so that we could enjoy the sea breeze. Service was good, and she kept our drinks filled as well as being very accommodating. But for the cost I wasn't happy about the plastic plates, per pa large dressings or styrofoam cups. I think it devalues a restaurant. We started with fried alligator and pre pa led dressing. We were staying at shores of Panama and came to Willy's for dinner. Someone stole my shoes at the beach and they did not care that I was barefoot in the restaurant! Great vibes and the food came out super quick. Typical popcorn shrimp, clam strips, hush puppies, etc. drinks are STRONG but pretty good deal considering we got the reusable cups.
