This place is not very clean at all. The technician working on my pedicure cut my cuticle too short, causing it to bleed. He was very rough too, not a very pleasant experience. They didn't seem very interested in their customers when they walked in the door, one woman didn't even look up from her cellphone when she greeted customers as they walked in, basically saying "what do you want?" I brought my 4 year old daughter with me to get her toes painted too and they weren't very welcoming to her, even moved her to the other part of the store, away from me when I said I wanted her by me. I don't recommend this place. 1 star was generous. I won't be back. read more

Stopped by to get a manicure and pedicure. They were really nice and friendly. They welcomed me with a genuine welcome. There was a guy who manicured my nails, he was very nice and gentle on my hands. He didn't talk much. One of the older ladies gave me a pedicure, not the oldest one, but the one right under her. She was authentic and did a wonderful job on massaging my feet and legs. I'm in my third trimester of pregnancy . She made me feel safe and pampered. She wouldn't let me turn the massage on my back area, I guess I'd go into labor in the salon. It was really sweet. There was another lady who worked there who was super friendly. As far as cleanliness, it was average. Overall, the services, I attained were pretty good. read more

I would suggest not getting your services here. I was the only client there, along with one nail tech. She was rude, rough and very rushed. I had gel on my nails which she mechanically files off, no soaking at all. I got dip nails that are super thick and not smooth. From start to finish I was out of there in about 20 minutes. She seemed aggravated, slapping at my hands telling me to relax. To sit properly in the chair. I'm 52 years old and was definitely sitting in the chair correctly. Too many other places to go to. I wonder how they stay in business. read more

I only come here and Joy is my favorite. They have good service and the place is clean. I get a mani and pedi all the time here. They have great color choices and they really care if you are happy with your service. I would not anywhere else. read more

ICK! DO NOT GO TO THIS SALON...I went in for a pedicure today, not a sole in the salon (first red flag). Asian lady looked up and asked me what I wanted (second red flag). I indicated that I wanted a pedicure. She told me to pick my color and sit down. She filled the tub with super hot water, I couldn't even put my feet in the tub (third red flag). Once she started to work on my feet, she was so rough, rude and impatient. She kept slapping my leg to move it to a different position. I could not understand her broken english. She kept looking at me and asking if I was scared (should have gotten up and RAN, but no). She cut me a few times and I finally told her to slow down and not to be so rough (mistake she clipped me again). From the time I sat down and she started working on my pedicure to the time she finished, it was 20 minutes...no lie! BEWARE read more

Salon filled with clutter. Dirty basins for pedicures. Liners reused. Did not wash hands before. Uses dirty/used gloves.

I've used this salon in the past and have been very pleased. They seem to be under new management. I noticed the one good review is a couple of years old. One service they offered in the past was a hot paraffin treatment with your manicure. I loved it b/c I have arthritis in my hands. When I asked today, I was told rudely "no, no paraffin treatment ". Didn't even say it would be $ extra and it was sitting on the counter next to me. I also noticed they removed the sign that previously posted all the prices. I won't be going back. read more

Would give a 0 star if that was possible. Absolutely worse place ever. The lady with the painted white clown face is racist and rude. On 1.18.2019 they did pedicures for my 2 kids and my friend then proceeded to try to wait to do their manicure by going to do another customer first. That white customer told them to finish us first since we were there first. They chose to ignore my request when I asked them but listened only after the white lady said something. They also questioned whether or not I could pay them and did not like the tip I gave them. I shouldn't have even given them a tip but I still did. They wanted more than $5 each and made it a point to say so loudly in the store. I would never go back here and would even like this racist place to close down. read more

So I made the mistake and visited this place on 8/17/18. Never again. I have not been treated this rudely in quite some time. The staff was absolutely horrible under the pretense of being "nice". It was VERY obvious that they did not want me in there and as I look around I noticed that I was the only black woman in the room! Yep - I said it because it was THAT obvious. At first glance I was offered additional services that I knew I did not need. After respectfully declining I was offered another service and immediately told how much it would cost! That was clue #1 - but I let is go and stayed. I declined again. I asked for a simple toe polish change and acrylic fill. The guy took care of the polish change - that's it - nothing else. Like I could have done this at home. Never looked up - never said a word. #2 - Then I moved over for the refill. Typically with a refill the technician always takes care of your cuticle maintenance, checks to see if there is any dead skin, clips little tears or hang nails, etc. Oh no, not here! When I asked about it she was quick (and rudely might I add) to tell me that was a manicure, it is not included, that is an "extra service that takes time" and quoted the price. By now I am angry at myself for walking in this place! While attempting to make small talk - getting NO response I noticed another wall of nail polish (as I was never told, out of courtesy it was there - as it is kind of hidden) and asked can I change my toe polish (still wet) - she immediately responds now stating Yes, for another 10.00! #3 - After she finished polishing my nails I moved to the drying area and she was walking so closely behind me she tossed my bag toward me while I was turning to sit and the polish rubbed from my nails on to my bag!!!! #4 Final straw! That was it! I had to let her know how disgustingly rude she was and I nor anyone I know will ever visit this little shop again! I don't recommend ANYONE go to this establishment EVER! No one should be treated as if they are an inconvenience. read more

New management is extremely rude. With only two other customers in the salon, waited 20 minutes in the massage chair before being acknowledged or having anyone fill up the foot tub. After that, waited another 15 minutes and realized one of the other customers was going to be next for a pedicure. At this point, I realized they wouldn't start on my pedicure anytime soon so I thanked them but told them I had to leave due to the long wait. Okay, so I went to Pink&White Nails as a birthday gift from my daughter. I used to go awhile back, but now it is under new management. First off, the people are rude and act like they do not want to wait on you. After waiting over 20 minutes, I had the owner doing my nails who repeatedly kept taking the emery board and hitting me on the top of my knuckles because she felt that my fingers were not on the towel to her liking. Now, I must interject that I am on blood thinners, so this could be a health hazard for me. After all of this repeated hitting on my knuckles and finally getting my nails done, she would not let me pick the color I wanted, which was simply a dark blue, talking about it was not great with my skin tone. The polish she put on my nails were very thin and started peeling off around the edges of my nails within 2 days. I will not return to this nail salon every again. If I develop some type of reaction from the hitting on my knuckles being under the care of a doctor with blood thinners as my medication, I will seek legal advice. NO ONE should be hit like she did me and I am a customer with a great attitude and especially trying to enjoy a birthday gift. No wonder, hardly anyone frequent this salon anymore. read more

Recently went to this salon with a gift certificate for a manicure; I rarely get manicures, so was looking forward to a nice treat. Had planned to use the certificate for two regular manicures, but very quickly decided to use the entire certificate at one time since I didn't think I'd care to return. 1.) The place is not very clean. 2.) "Staff" is not very friendly; in fact, they are completely indifferent. 3.) While trying to decide between a French or an American manicure, the woman told me rather shortly that there's not much difference and proceeded with the French. 4.) After cutting my cuticle and causing it to bleed, and being unable to stop the bleeding, she painted over the cut with clear polish to stop the bleeding. (My daughter was with me, and also left with two bleeding cuticles from another manicurist in the salon.) 5.) My gel manicure, which was supposed to last about 2-3 weeks, was peeling on day 6. 6) When I went back to have the manicure removed (most of it had peeled off by that time), it took the woman 30+ minutes to remove it; thought it was a 10 minute procedure. Pink & White Nails Salon located in Covington near Target/Michaels/Belk is by far the BEST nail salon I've found yet! I believe this business was once called Fashion Nails/Fashion Nail & Hair Salon. Over the past year I have been to at least 7 other nail salons in Covington, Mandeville and Madisonville. I didn't start out on a mission to try all the nail salons in my area, it just happened that way since like most of you I'm in search of the best available. Manicures, pedicures, solar nails, etc. is a luxury worth paying for. It should be enjoyable with relaxing atmosphere. It should always be a clean, friendly and an almost 'spa-like experience. As some of you know, that's not always the case. I walked into a nail salon a couple months ago to find Nascar Racing on their television - Um, NO! Not even if it was free will I sit for services with disturbing atmosphere! Noisy TV, kids running amuck, too much chatter, etc. Pink & White Nails Salon also offers more services than some of the others such as paraffin wax for hands and feet and hot stone massage. I needed a nail salon that offered Solar Nail service and I found that not all of them do. I've never to been to a friendlier place and that's such a bonus! Anthony, Lily and Andy are absolutely outstanding and I can't wait to go back. This is my new place and I can't say enough wonderful things about it. You will not be disappointed with Pink & White Nails Salon! read more
