Not only is this an amazing studio, but they offer amazing packages for membership!!!
    Vanessa C.

I have tried tons of Barre studios and really it's about finding the methodology that works for you. Pink Barre is my all-time favorite Barre studio in Atlanta! Tara Joiner is the owner and is absolutely amazing. She has a great energy and a dedication to helping women meet their fitness goals!! She is a Physical Therapist by trade so she has an understanding of the body. I'm a runner and injured my hip a few years ago. Barre has been the perfect cross-train workout. It's core purpose is to strengthen and tone. What makes Pink Barre unique is the cardio blast or "Barre Connect" as they call it in the middle of class. It gets your heart pumping! All of the instructors are well trained and super Friend. They always willing and happy to answer any questions regarding form or any other questions that I've had. The great thing is they know each client by the clients name. I mean, that's incredible!! The boutique is pretty cool too. They have a variety of options and super cute Barre workout tank tops. Expect to pay a little more, but the quality is top notch! They have a wide range of "sticky socks" too. Members receive a discount on all clothing, and they are several different membership packages that they offer. Anyone looking for a great full body workout that is low impact would love Pink Barre Studios.

My first time at Pink Barre!

We tried an 8 credit BarreLates, where equipment was provided including barbells, resistance bands, mini yoga balls, and a yoga mat. The class itself was quite small and intimate, if you prefer smaller classes this is perfect for you! They also had a sign up front customized to welcome us which was a very cute and personalized touch. Our instructor, Erin Seibel, was very sweet, energetic, and encouraging! I'd recommend trying to book a class not right at rush hour unless you live close by, the traffic trying to get there is my only complaint if I had to dig for one, especially because it is by a busy intersection coming off the highway. Overall, I liked the experience and how welcoming the environment was!!

Park free in the small lot or the Publix parking deck across the street. Our instructor CoCo patiently waited for my crew, but the clock was running because of other bookings. The environment is cool and clean with cubbies for personal items/shoes. You enter the mat barefoot or in socks. The website mentions 30-minute-high intensity low impact cardio classes, indoor water rowers, aerial sling yoga to release tension etc. We had a P-Valley themed party, so I knew it was going down! We each picked a Sky Barre nickname and CoCo broke down the routine into steps. I haven't worked out in awhile and I have zero upper body strength, so I was nervous but willing to try. I couldn't do some of the moves but CoCo made modifications. It's not easy. Initially, it felt like the aerial silks were burning into my feet, butt and side. But it's more discomfort than pain and she said you get used to it. An hour wasn't enough time to learn the routine. But you are your own audience so it's more about feeling confident, getting out of your head and having fun! We had a glow party under blacklights, so highlighter colors really pop! The lights were dimmed, the track was played, and we killed our routine. Not! We did it 2x and I still forgot half the moves! The best part is how sexy you feel if you let yourself go. But when I played the video later it was more like the rhythmless nation! At the end we cheered each other on as we freestyle danced in a circle. Water was provided and we said our goodbyes. Sky Barre core + cardio = full body workout. I was sore for few days but it was worth it! Memberships start at $150 (1 hr a week, 12 drop-ins per month). There's a $99 3-week unlimited beginner class promo for newbies. If you can afford it and you're brave enough to try, drop in for a fun, creative workout. I recommend!

You walk into a reception area lit brighter than a cafeteria. Nothing says relaxation like feeling like you're about to take an exam. For a $220 massage, your pre-service options are the hammam or sauna, which is very limited for the price. No steam room or jacuzzi. The robes are very comfortable, and the locker room is nice. Just be prepared to parade past a full gym in your robe on your way to unwind. I booked the Flow massage, which is supposed to be medium pressure. Instead, it felt like I was being buffed like a Camry rather than actually massaged. It came across more freestyle than intentional. I thought maybe it was just me, but both of my sisters had the exact same experience. Then comes the automatic gratuity, bringing the total to $260 for a massage that didn't deliver. If you're going to raise prices, the experience has to rise with it. This was a disappointment.

Starting the new year, I told myself I would get out of my comfort zone and try new things…read more Instagram must have been reading my mind when I was targeted for a "Free Intro Class" to my local Pure Barre. From there, I was able to simply sign up via the add. Later, I was conveniently contacted by an automated text system that kindly reminded me of my reservations. Day of, I made it right before the start of class so, I unfortunately missed the tour of the studio. I quickly signed my waivers and jumped in right at the nick of time! The studio was small but very neat. First Impressions: A neatly arranged front entryway with branded gear and waters for sale, along with the front desk to your left. Behind the wall was their only studio. It's a pretty good size for such small parameters at the Vinings Jubilee. I'm unsure If I was the only newcomer, but everyone seemed a bit more familiar with the routine. The instructor positions herself at the front of the room facing the mirrors. Everyone else is evenly spaced at their own spot at a bar along the 4 walls, and I was in the middle at a stand alone bar. The class was moderately tough. Some parts were a bit more challenging than others, but all of that depends on your skill level. I truly believe any level individual could come and take this class and walk away with a good burn. Some areas of criticism: - I was never introduced to the instructor or welcomed to the class, but this could of been due to me being right on time. It would have been nice to have felt noticed and welcomed. - The instructor could have been more attentive during the workout in order to help make adjustment to posture/ positioning during the routine. There was a few times I felt unsure of I was doing, or if I was even doing the correct movement! As I would look around, I noticed everyone was doing some variation of what she was doing. I would prefer more instruction. While working hard time seems to move so slow! The class included the use of a small ball, 2 hand weights ( which you can change out according to your strength level), and a loop resistance band. We did some pretty cool exercises! Definitely creative stuff Post class, the receptionist and the instructor spoke with me shortly about the different classes they offer and some membership options. Although I opted not to sign up, I did get in a good workout.

The instructors are amazing. Barre3 has its own formula of balancing full-body strength work with stretching and cardio to give a well-rounded experience, but each instructor brings their own personality and passion to their classes, making each session familiar enough for you to be your best in that moment while being unique, different, and an absolute adventure! Every time I come to barre3 I am full of joy and so much happiness and excitement to be there. Every time I leave the studio and go out into my life I feel strong, confident, and really proud of myself. My cup is full. And then the day after every class--my body feels the workout in a really big way! My barre3 classes provide a great way to balance the big muscle-focused work I do in strength sessions at a more all-purpose gym and the intense cardio I do on a spin bike. There's a huge emphasis on the smaller muscle groups that too often get ignored, and incorporating barre into my exercise schedule helps me make sure that my cranky right hip and my arthritic knee have enough muscular development surrounding the joints that I am able to complete all of my other workouts--stronger, happier, more free and confident! I can not recommend this place enough. It feels like home. And each time I am there I am reminded to feel completely at home in my own beautiful, strong, wildly imperfect body.

The instructor Ashley was welcoming and explained the difference between Forme and other barre studios. As it was described, and as I would soon learn, the difference was in bigger motions. Barre workouts tend to involve a lot of subtle pulsing motions. At Forme the movements are bigger which meant I'd be activating more muscle groups and getting my heart rate up. They incorporate some smaller motions as well. For the Barre Fusion class we did standing work for a while and then eventually transitioned to the floor for glute and core work. Ashley's cues were very helpful. We ended up using a resistance band, a small ball, and a single glider. It's crazy how you can get a great workout in with such small and unassuming equipment. By the end of class I left feeling challenged but still really good. The 55 minutes went by quickly. I knew I got a great workout when I felt sore later that evening. I also got to meet the owner Donna as the next class was getting ready to start and she was really sweet. She let me know that aside from the classes they also host social events which is nice. The other classes I tried: Barre Fusion Lift This class incorporated a weighted bar into the exercises. There was quite a bit of pulsing, squats, and lunges (front, reverse, side, and curtsy lunges). The bar was used during the ab/core section as well which really kicked things up a notch. We also used resistance bands and a small step stool. Overall I really liked this class. The pace was upbeat and there was minimal rest which kept things challenging. This class was 55 minutes. Barre Fusion Sculpt This class incorporated more ballet-inspired moves (plies and releve when we were at the barre) than Barre Fusion Lift but the tempo/pace was very much upbeat. The hand and ankle weights added more resistance and with the high reps there was a good burn throughout. The instructor, Lauren, was energetic and motivating which made the 55 minutes go by quickly. Booty Barre This class was the most ballet-esque of all the classes I tried. Donna was really good about giving people modifications either to make the moves more challenging (stand in releve) or to accommodate people with injuries. I wasn't drenched in sweat by the end but I got a good glute and quad burn. Just as a note in terms of overall level of difficulty, I'm very active (I workout five times a week) and consider myself to be in good shape. I found the Forme classes to be fun but challenging. Other details: Toward the end of each class the instructors came around and placed wipes by our mats so we could wipe them down. They have open cubbies where you can store your belongings, two changing areas, and a bathroom with toiletries and a hair dryer. The parking lot is shared and on the smaller side but I never had issues getting a spot (I exclusively came to the 6 am classes). Overall I really enjoyed my week of classes and will be incorporating Forme classes into my workout regimen.
