Had to have a large Maple tree taken down following a storm last year. Of the quotes I got, this group was the most reasonable. They were also responsive and professional. The job ended up taking longer than they thought - not their fault, the tree was huge and the storm damage made it difficult - but they stuck to their original quote. They have illegally cut a grove of over 20 trees that were well over 100ft. They did not get necessary permits. They cut these in an unsafe way near power lines. When asked about permits they said why did i care.... They were told by Seattle department of Construction to stop. They continued the next day. read more

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. The company is amazing. They came out, this was a huge job. Windstorm took out a old tree with a 12 foot root ball. In total they removed 5 huge trees, cut up the wood in rounds for us, even raked up all the debris and hauled it off. They worked until the job was complete, even had a stump grinder come. Gabriella and her team did excellent work, and I'll have them back next year. They cut back an overgrown tall and large hedge in my background and shaped several trees. The estimate was quick, and the work was performed efficiently and with great care. Plus, it was fun watching them climb the hedge! I'm deducting one star because the crew and foreman didn't wear masks, and there were a few times when the foreman had questions for me (which I'm so glad he asked!) - but he had to lean in closer than 6 ft and speak very loudly at me due to the chainsaw noise. read more

Great service as always! I just needed some tall junipers cut so they weren't so tall and invading my neighbor's property. They trimmed a tall Japanese maple that's getting too big for me to trim anymore. It looks beautiful again. Also cut some large low hanging branches from a big cedar so I get more light and air circulation. I have a giant problem Douglas fir that we discussed. I was told it looks ok for now but to check back next year. I'm very happy with the service and trust their opinions on best options. Great experience! read more

I have used P!nk chainsaw tree service several times over the past five years. I highly recommend this company. We use them to prune and shape a willow tree near the shoreline on our lake property. My neighbor had a tree taken down and when the work was done, I found my deck and yard were a mess and they entered my property my permission (I was home at the time) and moved my grill and broke several pots on my deck. So maybe you do a great job cleaning up at the site, but not so good for the neighbors? I would not use this service after this experience. read more

Had an appointment for an estimate at 3:00 on a Sunday afternoon. Time came and went so we called and the answer we got was oops. I forgot. We had a great experience with this company. Owner was very responsive with a fast turnaround for a quote. She was very knowledgeable and communicative. We easily scheduled the work within a few weeks of the quote. The team did amazing work of trimming 6 extremely tall pine trees in our yard and managing dead branches of pine trees from our neighbors yard. They were very respectful of our yard and the neighbor's yard. They cleaned up everything - no stray branches, no excess pine needles. Z&I have worked on my trees on two occasions. First, in 2009 they did a big job cutting down a two-story-tall cherry tree growing by the side of my house. It was a tricky job, being so close to the house, but they did a terrific job for a reasonable price and the contact person, Gabriella, was easy to work with. So I went back to them this summer when my fruit trees needed pruning. The arborists did a great job on my fruit trees. However, I had a really frustrating and disappointing experience communicating with the staff, but then Z & I exceeded my wildest customer service expectations. Because I was so frustrated with the communication (as expressed here on Yelp in a previous review), Gabriella sent me a really kind and honest email about what went wrong with the communication and sent me a check for more than half of what I had paid for the job---I never even asked for that! I'm not only happy about the check (of course), but I'm relieved because I have been really happy working with Z&I in the past and am happy to know I can continue to count on them to care for my trees. read more

Z&I did a great job. They removed four large birch trees, all of which were close to the house and two of which were close to the power lines. They also trimmed up several other trees that were close to the power and cable lines. Not only were they careful and safe but they left the site cleaner than it was when they arrived! They even dug up one of our hydrangeas and gently placed it out of harm's way. We also loved that they arranged to have the rounds picked up by someone who donates firewood to those in need too. They do get busy so be patient with scheduling but it's definitely worth going with this company to get the job done! read more

DO NOT USE! Very unprofessional - after multiple emails setting up the estimate appointment, Gabby was more than an hour late. No text or call, she was just "busy." Said she'd send an email estimate within 48 hours to compare to my other bids - nope. A few days later she sent something that wasn't anything like what we'd talked about. I requested a revision, but nothing from her so I gave up. Plenty of other services available, and the guy I hired was much cheaper and more reliable. DO NOT USE!! If I could give ZERO stars, I would! I always get at least 3 estimates for house and yard projects and Gabby from Pink was the worst of all. The other two I got estimates from were able to show up within a few days, and they both gave me immediate estimates in writing. Gabby at Pink Chainsaw scheduled an appointment that was more than a week after I reached out. She showed up over an hour late for the appointment without calling or texting. She said she'd send an estimate that night, but I didn't get anything until several days later. The first estimate she sent was completely incorrect so I requested a revision. By the time she sent me a 2nd version (also incorrect) days later I'd already gotten most of the work done by someone who was 1/3 of Gabby's price. They do a good job! We have had them do small and large jobs. They took down a tree that was huge and leaning over the house. In this case they actually dug out a bush for me that was in the line of danger. They recently took down a tree that was leaning over the neighbor's wooden fence. The fence was broke in the process, but they fixed it well. At one point they broke our invisible fence line with a tree and actually paid us for the damage. read more

We used Z&I for removing one large fir tree right next to our house. Initially we have requested quote to several companies, but all of these (including one that we have previously requested service) were very slow or no response. Then we found Z&I with very good reviews on yelp and contacted them. They were very quick in responding to my email and gave us the lowest price, less than half of another company. On the day of work, the crew arrived 20 mins before the appointment and was waiting outside of our house until I went out to talk to them. Despite the hard condition with rain, their work was very quick and the huge tree was almost gone within 2-3 hours, while another company (that gave us the highest quote) told us it would take 7-8 hours for them. After removing the tree they cleaned our roof and the street. A few days later, on the late afternoon before thanksgiving, they came back again to haul away all the tree trunks. I had PINK Chainsaw remove a bunch of small trees and bushes and trim a few bigger trees. Communication was easy and they were very responsive. The estimate they provided included a drawing and line items. They were able to add me to the schedule quickly. They arrived when they said they would. They did an amazing job of taking out the trees I wanted and trimming up the other trees. They transformed some of the overgrown and dying trees into really healthy looking trees. They carried away all the brush and picked up/swept away any loose branches. They had a good design eye and were careful to check their work from different angles, etc. They were extremely fast but did everything that I asked with no issues. They also did a few extra things that I didn't ask but was very appreciative that they did (trimming, removal of other dead stuff). Communications with the team on-site was super easy and they listened to what I wanted. The team was very friendly. My yard looks so much better now! I used Z & I Tree Service to take down a large tree in my front yard. It was a somewhat tricky job due to the nearby power lines and small site area. Received a competitive bid and they scheduled the service. Unfortunately, they had an emergency the day of, however we rescheduled quickly for the following week. They showed up as promised and took the tree down in about 35 minutes - wow. The guys were extremely friendly, courteous, and clearly knew what they were doing. They even blew the area before they left. All in all, I'd highly recommend Z&I for anyone looking to remove a tree. We had Z&I take down 3 approx. 100 ft trees right next to our house. They were the first to come out to bid (day after I called them), offered the best approach to removing the trees and the most competitive bid. The work crew showed up on time at 8:00 AM and had all three trees down by noon. They were professional and courteous and it really awesome to watch.
