The space is nice with good seating and a clean, comfortable setup. Tried the stir-fried chili tofu, brown rice, and noodles. The noodles were the best part--flavorful and well-cooked. Unfortunately, the tofu was quite average with not much taste, and the brown rice was a bit too dry for our liking. Parking is tough around this place .. paid parking mostly . Overall, a decent late-night option if you're nearby, but the flavors could use a boost. read more

I don't understand why we were the only patrons in the restaurant on a Saturday night at 7pm. The FOOD, is the best Cantonese I've eaten in years! Crab Cheese Rangoon: 9/10 light amd delicious. Full of flavor without overstuffing it with cheese. Good ratio, served hot! Sesame Chicken: 9.5/10 fried perfectly without overbearing it. The sauce was not just sweet. The sesame comes through. Deliciously crispy outside and juicy inside. Roast Pork Fried Rice 10/10! This is hands down the BEST RPF I've tried. Full of scrambled eggs, roast pork, flavor and scallions (if you like scallions- you'll love this!) Beef n Broccoli: 9/10 tender bites, in a flavorful glazey brown sauce, with perfect ratio additions of sliced onion, carrots and broccoli. BBQ Spareribs: 8.5/10 : the flavor was on point, I like mine a little on the sticky side, but these did not disappoint! My hubbs raved over them (he gave it a 10/10) especially because he was craving good spareribs. This place has take out, I dont know about delivery, but make the trip, you won't regret it. The service was very friendly. The ambiance was for thr most part, quiet. There was a lot of noise coming from the floor above, mostly thumping. The place needs a little updating. I discovered this restaurant by chance, I went to have my hair done and the smell that emanated from the restaurant captured my full attention. However because it was late in the evening, I couldn't tell where the awesome smaill came from. Next appointment I just happened to park right in front of the place. After my services were completed, I went in Pink Lotus and was greeted by the owner and she was very welcoming and kind, I placed my order for Chow Mein, spring rolls and chicken soup, the flavors did not disappoint. This will most definitely be the start of a wonderful tradition whenever I'm in the area. The food was amazing and I cannot wait to go back. read more

Wow literally the BEST Chinese food around!! Unfortunately they don't deliver to us BUT they are worth it so we take the drive EVERY-TIME! Because ever since we found this spot, we have not found any other Chinese food worth replacing it with! Their food is fresh and tasteful! Worth trying delivery, takeout or eat in! Great Chinese food ! I ordered the crab ragoons and general tso chicken with shrimp fried rice. The Crab Ragoons were delicious and crispy. The General Tso Chicken was also really good ! I wanted to try a different place for Chinese food and this location came up with pretty good ratings so I took a trip in the pouring rain to place an order for pick up. Upon arrival, I notice the place was very well kept and the lady behind the desk was very welcoming. I had ordered shrimp with mixed vegetables which came with a small side of white rice. They were very accommodating upon request of two hot oil as most places seem to charge for them now, they leave their duck sauce and sour sauce packets out for grabs by the way which is cool. Upon opening my meal, I realized they use quite a bit of different added vegetables than most places like cauliflower and string beans which I didn't mind as I like vegetables however I realized the brown sauce wasn't as favorable as most places and the shrimp was hard to chew into, it was also pretty hard to slice into and one or two of them had a funny smell. At the price of $18.99 as they only offer one size I was expecting something much better as most places at the price point I have tried will offer more of a higher quality. I definitely was not impressed. I'm tempted to try another meal due to the great reviews but I'm not certain. I will update my review if I do give it another shot but for now I give it a 3. read more

We ordered two dishes (see photos) and brown rice on the side. It's BYOB. The dishes came out hot and fresh. It was very good. We dined in on a Saturday night. My first time there. Small place, but clean and tidy, but looked like it was a bigger restaurant at one time. Noticed they sealed off one part of the restaurant that i have seen photos of in previous reviews. Ambiance is informal. It can improve on the decor for nicer ambiance. I wish restaurants did more in decorating as it would possibly bring in more dine in business, but I know you come for good food and the food was great. Service was good. I will return. Good food. If u get sweet and sour chicken it comes already soaked in the sauce so make sure you ask for sauce separately. They tend to overcook the chicken a bit, kinda chewy etc but it's still good. Give them a try. read more

I just went to Pink Lotus with my son and his family. Not only was the food authentic Chinese (not Americanese) but the staff made us feel very welcome-even with the toddler in the high chair. Every dish was freshly prepared and wonderful. Since it was my first time there, I can only comment on how good the chicken dumplings, the scallion pancakes (the best I ever had), the boneless ribs, the beef with green beans, and the chicken chow fun was. Wow, their garlic sauce actually has some kick to it. Not too much mind you. But when most Chinese places have that "spicy" icon beside their garlic sauce entree, it's disappointing when it's not. Well I'm not disappointed here! Not only is the sauce spicy, it has good flavor! Plus look at that serving size . As a Father with 2 kids in college, I'm most appreciative of value. We once ordered on a regular basis but after we started getting foreign materials mixed in with our dishes we felt it was safer to discontinue ordering anything from here. I ordered vegetable Mai Fun and as I started eating I bit down on something hard & sharp...it was a piece of glass! I got scared and decided to investigate further and found thin shards of metal in with the food. My other family members found hard pieces of something and couldn't finish their dinner...plus it didn't taste as good. So firstly- it has so many vegetarian options which is rare to find in Chinese/ Asian restaurants. We tried their tofu thai basil and Oh my God!! It was heavenly- the char on tofu and vegetables was just delicious!! We also tried Sechuan tofu and veg spring roll and they were also amazing. The customer service was definitely an icing on the cake, we were greeted very warmly by this lady and she was very friendly with us. Our overall experience was just great!! My family and I ate here for takeout and the food was delicious! The mango chicken was plenty flavorful and the Mongolian beef was spot on! Having late lunch here with family. I ordered Fish Fillet in Black Bean sauce. My daughter ordered Tofu and Eggplant in garlic sauce. Fish fillet is soft and moist. The black bean sauce is not salty, just about right. The veggies were sautéed well. It taste delicious. read more

I've ordered from this restaurant for years and would've continued up until 2 nights ago. I called in my order. The person taking the order knew exactly who I was (because I have gone there many times) ... I ordered 2 quarts of wonton soup, 1 order of pan fried pork dumplings, 1 order of large shrimp fried rice and 1 order of Beef Chow Fun. She repeated the order back to me and she said "Beef Mei Fun" and I said "No, Chow Fun ... Beef Chow Fun" I paid for my order/delivery and hung up. Order arrives at my house. Tipped my driver of course. Took food into the kitchen and realized it was wrong. They sent the Wonton soup and Dumplings as requested. However, they sent Shrimp Chow Fun instead of Shrimp Fried Rice and they sent Beef Mei Fun instead of Chow Fun. I immediately called the restaurant. The woman says "ohhhhh I'm sorry but you'll like, you try, you try I know you'll like. I'll give you $$ off next time" and hung up. I spoke with my family and they were not happy so I called back and told her we wanted it corrected and she said "we can send new food but you pay, we not send for free" ..... I had her send the Beef Chow Fun and I told my family there was no charge because honestly I didn't want there to be an argument. She said she would send free pork fried rice however she charged me $20 more and the Beef Chow Fun is only $13.95 on the menu. So I got ripped off a second time. So I will never order from there again. I have posted this story on all my social media accounts, in Edison residents and Metuchen residents. In these hard times for all Americans to be ripped off for a mistake you didn't make is outrageous. read more

They made my Singapore noodles and young chow fried rice in a way that was reminiscent of my childhood. Their curry with roast pork was with actual char Siu, very original ideation and cooking.
