I called to make a reservation for lunch and they indicated that we needed to arrive by 1:30 because the kitchen was closing at 2:00. Having read such positive reviews from others, we decided to take a chance. When we arrived, there was only one other table of guests. When we sat down, the server indicated that there were certain items, like steak, which is what we wanted, that weren't available. We decided to leave. Between having a limited menu and the kitchen closing early for the private party, it was a waste of our time.

My visit here did not start off well the hostess had a very bad attitude but once I got past that everything started to brighten up. My server was very good very helpful and very friendly my food was excellent the martinis are excellent nice local place close parking, nice drink menu and specials I definitely highly recommend you check the spot out.

    Their amazzzing Italian Wedding soup!

Amazzzzing Italian wedding soup!!! Absolutely homemade beyond a doubt! So delicious! Wonderfully scrumptious salad with apples, cranberries, cinnamon pecans & homemade champagne vinaigrette dressing! Yummy red velvet cake, too, & just the right size! Service was very friendly and efficient! Neat decor featuring local artists' work! Bit pricey but very good! Will definitely return!

We went back for a business meeting and the place was very nicely decorated and festive. The food and and service was much better this time around. The portion size is big ... my boss and I shared, soup, salad and salmon and it was still a lot of food .The only thing though was that as I walked into the restaurant, their big iron sign fell on my foot. It was obviously not placed in a good location and they have to be mindful of that. Service was quite impressive!

    New Orleans Pasta Dinner (Spicy)

Located across from the Flossmoor Metra stop, this restaurant is truly a hidden gem for those who want to feel special and sophisticated without having to spend major cash or fight Chicago traffic, long reservation lists, and crowded waiting areas. We attended for my mother's birthday, and the staff accommodated the six of us quite well despite the limited space within the establishment. I started out with a lemon drop martini, which was quite strong but mixed well. For my main course, I decided on the New Orleans pasta, which I was wary to do as I attend school in Louisiana, and hate to see Cajun cuisine butchered here up north. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this pasta was like reminiscing on the pastalaya that my close friend's mawmaw made for us when we went to visit. The cream sauce was absolutely amazing with a liberal amount of spice that has you reaching for your water glass in between bites. The sausage was great, the noodles were cooked to perfection; not too mushy or hard, and the chicken was pretty solid as well (though I'm not a huge fan of chicken so I cannot really comment specifics). The ambiance is great, the volume levels inside aren't bad at all, and most dinners come with a house salad + choice of dressing. Fresh, warm bread is also brought out with butter; though for my family of 6, it was gone as soon as it hit the table. They even sang happy birthday to my mom and presented her with a little cupcake. One downside was our wait time; nearly an hour and a half until we got our main courses, but due to COVID and understaffing (like everywhere), I'm sure they were running as fast as they could with the business of the night. My portion (drink, house salad, and main course), was about 30 dollars. I was truly shocked to see how the food was priced in comparison to the quality. I walked away feeling like I robbed the place, for how could such flavorful and well-prepared dishes be so reasonably priced? Well, if you'd like to find out, I recommend you take a visit to the Bistro.

This place is small, tucked away on the main street and across from Flossmoor Station. It creatively uses the small space to get as many tables in as possible. Thankfully, it was not crowded this night as while I am a fluffy woman, I am not a very large one and would've had an issue getting to one of the tables along the wall! I wanted to try this place for a while as it is local to me and finally got around to it. Glad I did! While not a grand steakhouse, it is a nice place to grab a good meal. A friend who had been before had no objection going so that right there was a good sign! We shared a bottle of wine (half-price night so we were lucky!) and the waitress was very nice. There is a bar area so that is good and they have nightly specials. Kids can eat half price, happy hour at the bar with 1/2 price apps and more just check the day on their site. There is seating outside but very limited. The food was good, nothing to send back or take home! Meat was done just the way we both liked it. We had the filet with the veggies and they were cooked well. We did not get dessert, just enjoyed our wine.

Issa pasta salad unlike any other. It's perfectly light and delicious. Flavor and dressing perfection

It was a Saturday afternoon for me, so I walked into the restaurant and placed an order to go. The young lady behind the bar, took my order. She was extremely friendly and very informative. I ordered a beef taco, a steak taco, an order of nachos and rice and beans. The nachos were the star of the show. They were delicious because the beef was seasoned well and the toppings were fresh. I enjoyed the tacos, but they were missing something. The seasoning weren't as bold and they didn't give me any sauce green or red salsa to put on my tacos. The rice and beans were pretty good, but they could've used a little more seasoning. I'm gonna check this place out again in September but next time I'll dine in so standby for part two. The jury is still out on this one.

The ambiance, the service, the cocktails and the food! Every attention to detail was valued and appreciated. The 17th floor view of beautiful Downtown....(wait for it)...Gary, was inspiring. Seriously, you can see the Sears Tower on a clear day and it looked like Oz! This restaurant is one to visit! One to value! One to appreciate! The smoked Old Fashioned was the first clue that this was going to be a good experience. Wood smoked in a decanter and served over a single cube with Rosemary sprig. Perfection! Delicious! I wish I could had the perfect t cigar with it. Appetizers of Ousters Rockefeller were superb. Great sized. Generous toppings. The Waygu meatballs, sauce and perfectly toasted bread almost had me stepping away from my table to "slap the cook" but I composed myself as the perfect gentleman that I am and silently clapped for him. My ribeye was cooked to perfection. Mom had the lamb chops and she said aloud that she was in heaven. I did not want to hear that kind of talk, so I ordered her a prosecco. Ha. She relaxed. We had a few sides, the creamed spinach and the Mac n Cheese and each one did not disappoint. There was no room for dessert, but side note...(this place is located at the Wind Creek Casino just next to a Portillo's and IYKYK- that Chocolate Cake is fire! So make a detour and got ma home. THE MALBECKONING…read more SixtyFour Wine Bar is a winning concept in downtown Naperville. Much like what Tapville Social does for beer, SixtyFour follows the concept of guests having the freedom to pour their own drinks. This place is on Water St in Naperville, near Vasili's and Blue Sushi Sake. Street parking isn't plentiful so the garage is your best bet, especially in the evening. You can build your own charcuterie, but use caution: everything is a la carte and without much effort that cute cheese platter can swell upwards of $40. This happened to us on our 1st visit, I thought "yeah sure, add a $4 honeycomb and seasonal jams, why not" to go with the $9 prosciutto, $7 manchego, and $5 cornichons. More recently, I got the restaurant week pre-fixe ($49) which included a starter, entrée, dessert, and glass of champagne. Each course separately would've added up to $55 (not counting the bubbly), so this option saved a few bucks. Both my wife and I got a pour-your-own wine card, that set us back about $20pp. The wifey got a mix of a dozen west coast & east coast oysters ($36) that came with cocktail sauce and a zippy pomegranate mignonette. The goat cheese bruschetta ($13) was incredible: goat cheese spread on several large pieces of grilled sourdough with roasted tomato and balsamic. We loved this and would get it again in a heartbeat. 5/5 The dates ($13) were a different story, however, as they came with cranberry goat cheese, orange honey, and crushed walnuts. I've been so used to savory dates (wrapped in bacon with a tomato sauce) that this much sweeter iteration caught me off guard. They weren't objectively bad, I just wouldn't order them again. 3/5 For my main course, I chose the short rib ($31) as I've done several times now: tender beef with mashed potatoes, braised carrots, crispy onions, and a red wine jus. This is a delicious entrée that I find myself steering towards every time I'm here, as it pairs perfectly with a Malbec or red blend. 5/5 The gnocchi ($33) were fairly pricey which I attribute to big chunks of lobster in a white sauce. But what SixtyFour did felt like a "bastardization" of gnocchi (my wife's words, not mine) by turning it into a homemade mac 'n' cheese of sorts, cooking it in a mini cast iron skillet topped with toasted breadcrumbs. Say what?! "Breadcrumbs" and "gnocchi" should never be used in the same sentence, unless it's "hey honey I did that grocery shopping, and I got beer, eggs, wine, gnocchi, ice cream, laundry detergent, kitty litter, AAA batteries and a box of breadcrumbs". It tasted fine, but there was absolutely no need to innovate here. 1.5/5 We reached a split decision on the dirty chai crème brûlée ($11). My wife thought it was different but lovely, whereas I found it strayed too far from vanilla custard and the flavor was overpowering, as if I just snorted tea leaves. It was REALLY strong, y'all! 3/5 Bread = 3.5 Circuses = 4.5 Our server Melissa was attentive and let us know about the wine tasting inside near the hostess' stand. We had a couple small pours (1-2oz) which equated to a free half glass, no complaints there. Restrooms were clean and the outside patio has a relaxing ambiance. The vibes are classy, romantic even. * TL;DR * It's fun sampling bold reds, sweet whites, and even rosé in 1oz, 3oz, and 6oz pours. I pity the fool who grabs a glass, sticks it underneath the first tap they see up front and presses 'POUR' without realizing they just selected a 2014 Chateau Haut-Brion ...... which retails for $500 a bottle! A half glass is nearly $75! I'll stick with a $7 Shiraz, thanks. As for the food, it's been mostly great with only a few exceptions. The gnocchi was whack, and the chai crème brûlée was polarizing. Due to the presence of delicate wine glasses literally everywhere, I would keep kids away from here. Leave the little ones at home and come here for date night. SixtyFour lists themselves as a wine bar first and kitchen second, which I agree with. If what you're seeking is a kitchen *and* wine bar, hit up a Coopers Hawk. Both places have solid wine selections, but being able to enjoy wine on-demand is a big plus. I'd happily recommend SixtyFour to friends and family.
