I was greeted by friendly employees at two counters, one for Andy's Sunflower cafe which sells coffee and tea, and one for food (Ain't She Sweet). I had no idea what to order so I asked the teammate at the counter and after discussing my spice tolerance, decided to go for the Jerk Chicken Wrap since it's so popular. It was a bit spicer than medium, which I was warned, but it was worth it. The chicken was juicy and tender and I was impressed by the freshness of the other ingredients as well as their tortilla wrap selection! The chicken gumbo was also quite tasty. I would order both again. The prices were reasonable, it was a $3 upcharge for a side of soup. I usually go to the one on 43rd. Thursday was my first time going to the Beverly location I ordered a Jerk chicken wrap, banana cake and some clam chowder. The clam chowder didn't have a lot of cream to me, but the clams weren't tough. You know usually when you eat clam chowder, it kinda taste like you're chewing bubblegum. The clams were so tender!! I was very surprised. The banana cake is delicious and moist. It's heavenly!!!!!! My jerk wrap was amazing! I absolutely love me some Ain't She Sweet! They have two locations. One in the Beverly area and one in Chicago on 43rd street. You can never go wrong ordering anything off the menu. There is a parking lot for convenient parking. There is also a few parking spots to grab right in front. I love the fact that you can call your order in because everything is made fresh so there may be a bit of a wait. This is a nice restaurant in a good location. I've also tried the location in Bronzeville where I feel I've enjoyed the food more. Today, we had the Tuscany panini, the tomato spinach bisque and a grilled chicken cheddar sandwich. The soup is consistently amazing. I have stopped here just for the soup a couple of times. The panini wasn't good and I wanted it to be so much because I love pesto. The pesto lacked flavor, was missing lemon or something. My son said his grilled chicken sandwich was okay. The food here could use a little more umph has been my experience. The soup is divine, though. Oh I forgot one thing. I asked for a small cup of pesto in my sandwich was dry when I made it home, they asked me for $1.10, which I found insane. The prices here are not inexpensive so to charge a customer who has spent $30 for another $1.10 for a couple squeezes of pesto just felt greedy and unreasonable. read more

Stopped here on a whim as we are not normally in this area. Sandwiches and sweets was the theme here and felt like an updated cafeteria. Spacious inside and you order at the counter. We decided on a few things: chicken cheddar croissant, Ruben panini, potato salad, sweet potato cheesecake and upgraded chips for soup. There two soups to choose from-tomato and clam chowder. I went for the clam chowder which was very good. Downside is no salt or pepper at the tables nor in the bag. They packed everything like a to go although we stayed to dine in. They also have a smoothie selection if you are interested in that. My husband liked the chicken sandwich even though the gardinera was a little tangy for him. My Ruben had a similar reaction from me. Next time I will leave off the thousand island dressing, otherwise it was good. Both sandwiches had a nice amount of cheese and meat. Been a fan since the Bronzeville location was the one and only. I have tried the Beverly locale a few times and the food is just as good. I tend to get a salad or anything jerk. This is one of my favorite spots to go to for wraps and smoothies. Usually, I order the Buffalo Chicken on spinach wrap and the Tropical Breeze smoothie. This time I ordered my usual Buffalo Chicken wrap and the Jerk Chicken Bowl; no smoothie. The wrap was good as usual. The bowl was good as well. I would like to offer a few suggestions: 1. Update the phone-I called several times (10) before I arrived to try to place the order to go and the phone went straight to voicemail at the first ring each time. I know the restaurant is busy, but when there is a 25 minute wait and no where to sit, I think it would be more customer friendly to at least be more efficient with taking phone-in orders. 2.
